Scrappers are not the only AT in this game. People should not think such things. The game also has brutes.

A separate slider for virtual team members? I've heard that idea bantered around by a few people for a long time. Me being at least two of them.
Castle, Positron, anyone else on this decision, please reconsider.
The warning of "You must have X number of players on your team to start this taskforce" can stay in place. It will continue acting as a reminder to those that wish to start it that it will be tough.
Newbies won't be running around with their diff set to Player + 6 virtual teammates, right?
Vets don't need the warning and can handle the content.
Please, you have the opportunity to knock this one out of the ballpark. Don't skimp on the perfection of the multiple difficulty slider. Don't make us bother with pads for TF/SFs.
It's an unnecessary nuisance.

So leave the minimums in place. That means I HAVE to set my diff level at 7 members of team before I can go start Manticore's TF by myself.
The label of "You must have 7 players on your team" still does the job of warning the newbie, and the newbie won't be running around with missions set for 7 teammates anyway.
C'mon, Castle... the min teammate mentality needs to go away. It's nothing but a nuisance. -

I'm cool with the devs calling us out. But yea.... this better mean TF/SFs are startable solo. I can't think of any reason that they'd put in this functionality but not allow it to function on TF/SFs.

Wish I could, Santorican, but I don't have an ATI card past my X1950XTX, nor do I have vista. I could probably bounce my gaming rig over to my windows 7 rig and install the 1950, but there might be too many differences between the way the driver handles the two cards for it to matter.
Best I can tell you is to stick to the old rules: Get the latest driver, clean off the old before installing the new, kill Bloom, Depth of Field, Desaturation FX, set Water to Low.
Manage FSAA and AF in the CCC and disable in game.
If you've already done all that, talk someone into buying me a 4870, and I'll take a look. -

Then I really don't get earth assault for doms. I know we have the melee attacks from stone melee... but where are the stone blasts coming from?
Or are they using the same animations as other blasts with new particles, which you don't consider different animations? -
But with I16 they could be pompoms of any color, it seems.

I couldn't stand up from my desk for a bit. Resubbed as soon as I got home.
There is only one outstanding wishlist item left for this to be a perfect game for me and that's account-wide inf/enh storage.
As it is, I think I'll be sticking around for quite a while just because of the difficulty scaler change. -

As if from far away, you begin to hear what might be wind, or waves, or a locomotive.
Slowly the volume increases and you begin to hear distinct voices. Thousands, nay, millions screaming in agony, pleasure, joy and hate.
The sounds fills the chamber from all directions and none at all. In the center, a light flickers, darting, dancing across the floor. Red like blood. Burning blood. Lines are drawn. Strange and wondrous symbols appear on the floor. A huge pentagram springs forth with the bloodfire arching several feet into the air before splashing back down in perfect and splatter free lines and curves.
That's when the schism yawns wide. The screams of the tormentors and tormented assault your ears, your mind, your soul. From the newly formed pit more bloodfire is sent splashing into the air, but this time there is no rhyme. No seeming reason.
Until the body parts start flying up as well. No mortal parts here. You see reptilian skin. Metal skin. Armored arms and chest pieces. Heads. Ears. Fingers.
All manner of dismembered body parts, some recognizable, some you don't wish to identify.
Slowly a single voice begins to drown out the rest.
"Fark off! It's time to play and you don't have what it takes to stop me!"
The sounds of battle increase. The carnage you see before you attempts to overwhelm your senses.
And then with a scream of triumph, blood and bits of demon and devil flesh falling off of him, Bill Z Bubba soars out of the hole, his great wings flapping off the detritus of Hell.
He lands at the edge of the schism, reaches down to the arc of the pentagram's circle and lifts it. Up from the floor he begins to drag it not entirely unlike a cartoon ACME Instant Hole. With each pull he balls up the magical scribblings, the circle, the lines and when the whole mess balled up in his hands, he nonchalantly tosses it over his shoulder where it winks out of existence. The chamber goes silent.
He relights his cigar.
"Hi, guys and gals. What's this I hear about claws on brutes, power customization and my long sought after massive difficulty slider?" -
Castle is aware and has hinted at that scrappers are next on the list. Many of us brought it up when the PPPs got their overhaul.

To play devil's advocate for a moment:
My sub dies again on Thursday and as per my location, I don't plan on returning until I-16 hits test.
I'm well know for taking breaks from the game, so this is nothing new.
But the question is "Why a break now? Didn't you just come back?" Yup. I dropped back in for I-14's freebie week and bought another month.
Then I-15 hit test and I saw nothing there of note. Having that land on top of my raised eyebrow at the mass bannings for the MA clusterfark made me say "hmmmm, think I'll come back later when things have calmed down again."
The point to this post? Disappointment may not always be expressed as "arrghh, doom, i hate this game, the devs are evil and monstrous fools, ARAHRGAHRGAH."
Sometimes, disappointment is a very quiet, "meh."
Looking forward to I-16! Because I like the devs and love the game. -
Due to the brute's higher HP, it will get more out of SR's passive's scaling damage resistance.

If you notice, defense buffs enhances the debuff protection in every other kill in the set. It's the same mechanic for Active Defense. Socket a Defense/Recharge/ToHit SHO or HO in Active Defense and watch the value of your debuff resistance increase accordingly.
Mids and especially CoD are not that reliable.

Because the defense portion of the HO will buff the defense debuff protection regardless of the fact that you can't slot defense buff enhancements in AD. -
All scrapper teams are pure bliss. There may be faceplants a plenty, but no one cares a bit.
