  1. Just ran a few missions on test. Drop rates have been returned to what I would expect them to be. No note from Synapse about any change, but I have to suspect that he did find a problem and it was corrected last patch.

Side note: Safeguard mission on 4/8 diff.... not easy. Especially when that Arcahnos Heavy Blaster (yes, the ones from RV) keeps frying my to a crisp.
  2. Synapse states that no changes to drop rates have been made. A lot of us were seeing very low recipe drop rates across the board. Unsure what has come of Synapse digging further into it.

Will there be a negative impact on teaming? I don't know. I don't team now for the most part. My guess is that people will have a harder time looking for farm teams to join since the farmers won't need pads anymore. For me, I'll finally get to start some real farming.

Your best bet for teaming is the same as it's always been: Create a group for like-minded individuals or find an existing one. It might take some work finding them, but once you do, you're set. Nothing in I-16 will change that.

Tried that back when I had the em/fa brute. Was kind of a pain to get the cone lined up then back in for burn.

  5. Spines/Dark would be nice. Claws/Fire. Hell... maybe I'll make a Spine/Fire for nothing but farming scanner missions. Slot for slows to keep 'em in the burn patch maybe?

Nope. I was about to mention my distress at the thread NOT being about good scotch.

Makes me want to play a character with some AoE, though. It takes forever for me to plow through a giant purple group one target at a time.

    Followup, Spin, Shockwave, Repeat, PROFIT!

Figured I needed to run this again. I'm going into it with a single philosophy: "Finish no matter the method," and backed by the tactical genius of Zoey when she stated "RUN LIKE HELL!"

I'm guessing having spawns 2 and 3 jump you at once is not the way to do this.

Nahh, gettin my *** kicked. Death on 2nd wave. Death on 3rd wave. 2 deaths on 3rd wave. I really hate resurgence.

This is doable. But only if I run away a lose aggro a lot.

But beyond that, which armor sets let you totally not give a crap?

I dont play a lot of melee types so I'm just curious.

Does your chart take drop rates into account?
Negative. Since the market on test has zero relation to the live market, I didn't bother tracking drops for that run. The numbers you see there are pure influence earned.
  11. Gave it some thought, but no. I'm still sticking with spin/shockwave.
  12. Cuz Castle hates heroes.
  13. No problem. I have zero issues shooting off PMs to Castle based on possibly bad information. On the one hand, if the info is good, it gives him something to look into. If the info I'm using is bad/stupid/ridiculous, he gets to mock me soundly.

    It's a win-win situation.

    mmmmmm ... claws/nin brute.
  15. And if you do the same for tentacles:
    8*.1 smashing
    .14 neg

    8*.1*27.805 = 22.244
    .14*27.805 = 3.8927

    Total: 26.1367

This does not equal the damage shown for scrapper TT.

Using the melee mod for scrapper: 62.562
    50.0496
    8.75868
Total: 58.80828 which is closer to what's shown.

So... why does scrapper TT use the melee damage modifier but scrapper NF does not?

Checking Dark Blast: Also using scrapper melee damage modifier.

Castle goofed. Des, your thread, you gonna PM him about this? NM. I just did.

Here's what gets me, and I wouldn't think that's right. But by the looks of it, only NF can crit.
    From CoD:
    Code:
    • 58.5 Negative damage (5% chance) If target is a minion
    • 58.5 Negative damage (10% chance) If target is not a minion or player
    It crits.

Nightfall needs to be fixed. There's no way that it is properly balanced in relation to other cone attacks.

On test, I did run around with TT, NF, Torrent, Shockwave, Spin, Eviscerate... it was amusing, safe and painfully slow.

Scrappers should have been given Darkest Night just like brutes.
  17. Thigh high boots for my ladies. Monstrous legs for my gentlemen.
  18. Eva, I found that not to be true. Please see chart of earnings efficiency.

LATE EDIT: I feel it necessary to add that this is me on my claws/sr scrapper. The chart does not take travel time between missions into account. Other primaries with different ST to AoE ratios may see drastically different results.

    Ah, the good old days.
Been fighting a lot of malta the last few nights as I close in on 50 with my brute, and it's been very weird to see how few sappers show up these days.

I had one mission last night that was a HUGE base map with multiple levels: 2 sappers the entire mission. We used to get them every spawn.
  22. I've bugged BAB about this myself for a long time. I know it could be done, but it probably would take a lot of work. Some of us would even be ok with something silly large that completely hid the hand so that it wouldn't matter if it was open or closed inside of the larger item.

Aye, there are holes that SR lacks. But Bill Z will be the only Claws/SR I will ever play. Claws/WP is out because I have too many WP users. Claws/Inv I already have in a scrapper. /FA and /DA are out because of their KB holes. (If pylon can knock me back, the set it dead to me.) I did claws/elec on test and found it lacking. /SA is out because it's completely anti-speed and thus anti-me.
  24. I view taunt on brutes the same way I view confront on scrappers: Useless.

If I need to taunt something, I'll hop over and punch it in the face.

    Well, that was quick.

Yup. Those that like the tank playstyle will continue to play tanks. I, otoh, have deleted every tank I've played.
