Quote:Well damnActually, I just increased the recharge time and end cost and left the numbers as is.
I didnt even get a chance to play with it before it got changed.
P.S. Did you fix hibernate for Scrappers in the PPP? PFF for Controllers in the PPP? Fixed the MM sets without Shields in the APP? -
I have a Invul/EM tanker that I created in homage to Superman as well; however he is a mutant with the ability of invul and energy manipulation. On some of my non PvP characters I try to give them the name of Soto, so my tanker now carries the name of Omega Soto.

Quote:Just get Soul Mastery from the PPP for Blasters and you will be a happy man.I'm sorry, I'd want to lose the snipe and take dark oblit but would want tentacles and night fall. They could adjust the recharge/damage on those two. I don't get why no one would want it as is, as it would be unique enough to be of interest.
Course that might just be my greed, wanting tentacles + burn + hotfeet...

Can someone repost the Cottage Rule? I remember when they mentioned it, but I dont remember it all of it.

Quote:Life Drain is the reason why I have made a Dark Blast Corruptor and a Dark Blast Defender. I know more people that were drawn to Dark Blast due to that power. I hope the devs realized the uniqueness of that power and I hope it will remain in the set. I could see them lowering the heal and raising the damage. Before Mental Manipulation blasters only got an end buff or end drain, but with Drain Psyche they changed the rules by giving a +regen, +End to self and a -Regen,-End to target. I do think the Life Drain in the set (if ever made) will not make the set overpowered.I'm looking at the fact that every single other AT that has access to Dark anything has self heals as part of the ATs mitigation. Defenders, scrappers, tanks, brutes, corruptors, masterminds, and stalkers ALL have self heals in other sets available to them, so Life Drain isn't a big deal. Controllers get self heals, but they don't have access to Dark powers. Only Blasters and Dominators (out of the 10 basic ATs) don't get access to any kind of self heal inherent to a powerset. Not surprisingly, neither gets access to a Dark set. Calling that a coincidence strains credulity a bit.
If Life Drain were given to blasters, it would be the ONLY self heal available to a blaster within the primary or secondary set.
Blasters have no native defense or resistance, that is true enough. But the devs are just as aware as any of us what you can do with IOs and pool powers. A softcapped hoverblaster with a self heal as part of it's single target chain, is probably more than they are going to be willing to let us have. And it would be not only possible, but probably the first thing done with the set if it got ported with the self heal intact.
Now, if blasters had had a self heal BEFORE IOs were introduced to the game, it would be a different story. But they didn't, so it's very unlikely that they will get one now that you can make blasters damn near unkillable with IOs. I know my Sonic/Devices is almost impossible to kill under most normal circumstances, and that's just with Aid Self and 30ish% ranged defense. You wouldn't even have to get to the softcap, since Dark Blast debuffs to-hit as it's secondary effect.
So, basically, what your quoted bit at the top of my post and my point in the post add up to is blasters not getting Dark Blast. That is of course assuming we're both correct, which is completely possible in this case. -
I wish Leviathan Mastery had an escape power like hibernate, then I would get it on my */Devices Blasters and use Knock Out Blow.

Quote:My attempt of a sonic secondary:I think they'll get a Dark secondary about the time they get a Sonic secondary.
A Dark Blast set might edge out my Fire blasters for a while...
Sonic Manipulation
P.S. had to try...lol
1. Sound Loop – Immobilize a target with sound.
2. Sonic Brawl – Punch is so fast it breaks the sound barrier.
3. Sonic Thrust – Same animation as Sonic Brawl but the motions causes a trust of sound towards the target.
4. Sonic Boom – Clone of Hand Clap, but louder.
5. Build Up
6. Sonic Cage – Single target cage.
7. Sonic Repulsion – The Knockback toggle casted on self.
8. Quasi- Sonic Punch – Kinetic Melee type of animation.
9. Sonic Shockwave - clone of Psi Shockwave, but with sound. -
My wish list:
Dark Blast
Dark Manipulation
1. Dark Blast
2. Gloom
3. Moonbeam
4. Dark Pit
5. Aim
6. Dark Obliteration
7. Torrent
8. Life Drain
9. Blackstar
It doesnt have to be complicated and I will even be happy if they never create new powers and just recycle old one. I just want my dark blaster...lol
1. Tenebrous Tentacle
2. Shadow Punch
3. Touch of Fear
4. Cloak of Darkness
5. Soul Drain
6. Smite
7. Death Shroud
8. Dark Consumption
9. Midnight Grasp -
Hey Snow Globe,
I looked through everything you wrote a few times and WOW, Nice Job. I am a rookie badge collector and even though I looked through the guide I still got lost and I have a questions maybe someone can answer. When looking through the patch notes I found this:
Badges
Removed Hero/Villain Requirements from the following Badges:
Does anyone happen to know how we get them now?
Firebug
Hero Slayer
Impounder
Outlaw
Safecracker
Vandal
Swashbuckler
Arachnos Rising
Villain Disruptor
Thanx,

Quote:I was just thinking of the APP and with Arctic Air (Confuse Toggle) and World of Confusion (Confuse Toggle) from Psi Mastery stacking, you will never have to worry about any NPC in Melee Range again....lolOpen with Ice slick to mitigate the Alpha, cast Shiver, move in to melee range with Arctic Air running, Once AA takes hold cast Frostbite to keep the mobs in AA and to floor their recharge. Then Smash with impunity. My Ice/Earth is lots of fun to play.

Quote:Good thing you are allowed to disagree since it was "My Order of Soloing Doms" and not your order. It was the order on how "I" liked for soloing and everyone is differentI'd disagree on your placement for Ice/. I'd also mention that Ice/ is one Dom where it makes sense to take and use the AoE Immob especially if you enjoy playing in melee range.

I think Kinetic Melee looks like Air Bending from Avatar the Last Air Bender...lol
-
lol....yeah. Them days felt more like work than fun so I do not miss them either, but I do want to see a slight increase to aggro cap I would be happy with 16(full Mob) + 8(half Mob) = 24 and keep the same AoE damage Cap. Its not a big deal, but a man can dream.

Every team is different and not every team I play with has experience players and the overspill does become more than they can handle. I just had to learn how to pull better when I come across a team like that. It is never a problem with an experienced tanker, but the old school tanker in me wants to just jump in and be the meat shield I used to be.
-
On a serious note, I like the buffs the tanks currently have. I do know we do not want tanks to herd up entire maps like the old days, but I do think they should double the Aggro cap from 16 to 32. I dont want this for farming, but for when 2 mobs are close together and the tanker can handle them both with out fear of the team members dying.

As a player that has a Mind/Energy, Grav/Ice, Plant/Thorn, Fire/Fire, Ice/Psi and a Earth/Psi dom, This is my order of soloing Doms:
1. Mind Control
2. Fire Control
3. Plant Control
4. Earth Control
5. Ice Control
6. Grav Control
Someone mentioned that Fire is hard to solo with, but I found it to be easy and after lvl 32 its amazing. I also think it might have to do with the secondary I picked. My Mind/Energy Dom was my first villain when CoV became live and I was the first dom to hit 40 before the lvl 50 cap came out and I was the second over all Dom to hit 50 on my sever. Soloing with a Mind Dom is fun and the most enjoyable run to 50 I had with a Dom. With the Mind you want to set it for +1 or +2 team size for soloing, but at higher levels a Fire Dom can solo +8. -
Mace Mastery:
Poisonous Ray
Scorpion Shield
Disruptor Blast
Personal Forcefield
Summon Tarantula
I have a Illusion/Emp and now I can get a debuff, another pet and PFF on a Empathy? O.o
When they change it because of duplication of PFF, I hope they dont delete it off my emp until I decide to respec...lol
To be honest I think they should replace this power with another. I enjoy the safety for PFF from Force Field and now players can skip Force Fields power set and just get the PFF on controllers. Does anyone else feel this is wrong? -
On my second build I have got Nova and Dwarf as soon as they were available. Whenever I ex down under lvl 20 I play my Nova and just do heavy damage. When I ex to lvl 20 and above I switch between Dwarf and Nova according to what the team needs. I selected Essence Boost, Reform Essence, Quantum Flight, Conserve Energy, Build Up, Glowing Touch, and Photon Seekers from the human side. I got a few other powers like Hasten to help, but I am mainly in nova or dwarf since I could mainly focus on slotting the two forms to the best I could.
-
I am a macro type of guy and I was wondering if anyone has a macro for my PB? I need one macro to toggle on Shining Shield, Thermal Shield, and Quantum Shield. Then I need a second Macro to toggle on Acrobatics, Super Speed, Super Jump, and Tactics. Thinking of dropping a power to pick up Dwarf. Thanks for your help.

Quote:Let me know how the Blapper/Dwarf Build works out?kool thanks for the replies but before i checked the forums i decided to go with a old blapper/dwarf build high recharge and hp.. and kept light form for the hell of it..
but yea procs are def the key.. and the Achilles heel in all the range attacks is heaven sent.. -
I normally get them on AT's I plan on soloing with. I dont solo to much but when I do it is nice to have a helping hand when it is needed.

Kheldians can switchs sides like Alien said, but they cannot start off in the Going Rogue. You will just have to make them on heroes and switch off at after completeing the side swapping missions.
