Paragon city is known for its violent crime, but no crime is as despicable as attacking a pregnant woman.
Unfortunately for the would be assailants in this particular crime, their target was Rebecca "Summoness" Campbel, wife of renowned hero, Ben "Big Lunk" Campbel, who was with her at the time of the attack.
Mrs Campbel was said to have been approached by a masked figure in grey at the Pocket D night club and bar, who questioned her about her psychic abilities, and requested assistance with a matter concerning his friend.
Alerted by the man's curious behaviour, and apparent desperation, Mrs Campbel discretely alerted her husband, who arrived to observe from a distance.
After further pressure, Mrs Campbel agreed to the man's requests, on the grounds that she would be accompanied by her husband. The would-be-assailant agreed, and went to fetch his accomplice, a small, cybernaticaly enhanced, young girl.
Upon reaching a secluded area, the two assailants attacked the couple, and after an initial strike against Mrs Campbel, where mercilessly beaten back until they ran from the scene.
Mrs Campbel is said to be resting after the ordeal, but otherwise unharmed.
Mr Campbel had this to say on the incident: "Such attacks are unforgivable, against metahumans or not. Beccs is heavily pregnant, and the shock of this attack may of sent her into early labour. When I find out who was behind this, rest assured, I will be making a b****ck necklace out of them. Put my family at risk, and you can say goodbye to any chance of one of your own."

IC quote
Big Lunk: "If it wasn't for his help, I probably would have not regained my licence. I, like so many, am proud to have called Erik Mitchell a close friend and colleague" -

I did try to add the tags for the character names. Summoness aka Sam Campbel will be stood next to Ben Campbel (Big Lunk) in at least a couple of pictures too.

Ahhh but the same happened to Green Arrow
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but Green Arrow actually DID die in that explosion! It was just a heart sick Hal Jordan as The Spectre who plucked him back from an earlier time and recreated his body. Know anyone that powerful in game who's looking out for Britanic?

Just want to add at this point that i may be a little miffed at KM-Tech being dragged into this without consulting me first, due to other 'projects' they're working on, but i am not a complete [censored], and will be happy to discuss with any* of the LoRDS, OOC, about using them, and how they can be worked in. (IE purchase information, etc)
(*well, i say any, i mean all but one of you, who i wouldn't even [censored] on if he was on fire)

In roleplay I just ignore they exist or tell myself that my name is so popular other killers and vampires started to use it to upp their reputation on my good.. ehem.. name.

which is exactly what i can see a majority of people doing with Lords taking over a real world country.
from what i've heard from people, the majority seem to be against it, and as such (as we are RPers NOT fiction writers, and have to remember we're not the only people controlling the 'plot') will probably choose to ignore it.
if people don't agree with what your doing, expect to be poo-pooed as a bunch of delusional freaks, just like that vagrant at the end of the street who claims to be the Tzar of Russia.
But it seems a fine line. No one seems to mind LoRDs taking control of A country, just a rather large chunk wont accept is as "unofficial cannon" if it happens to be a REAL country.
I had thought LoRDs was originally a project to strengthen the COMMUNITY around villain RP, not slice it down the middle because a few wont agree with people (don't you love democracy), but clearly i must of been wrong. -

For example should we create a fictional nation for the League to attempt to takeover?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, we definately should.
With the world as it stands today, I will NOT be a part of any group-plot that plans to invade or destabalize a REAL country.
[/ QUOTE ]
I may not be part of this, but i fully support hates on this matter. One reason is its very bad taste, another reason is that it could be seen as godmoding, where anyone with an IC connection to that country will be forced to react.
(But then i'm also against anyone using historical figures or shoehorning their way into the lives of cannon characters for similar reasons, but i still see it all the time.) -
[censored], thats 2 weeks i missed. >_< damn other things on my mind. MUST try to make next week

I mean what would Jesus be if he fought the Romans in Gethsemane, knocked them all down, dusted himself off and walked away?
Action flick with Steven Seagal as Jesus.

Hey, that would rock!
Although Jesus would have to be a retired legionary, and Buddhist. -

because he follows a script, and we put ourselves in the mind of the villain
[/ QUOTE ]
Incorrect. That is EXACTLY what an actor must do. Put themselves into the minds of their characters.
If you've not seen a script before, it's very very...uninspiring. It's not a book, there are no explanations on your character's motivations, how they react to something, how they move, what they do and why they do it.
[/ QUOTE ]
true, but the actual actions of the character are already predefined by the plot writer. With RP, its mostly adlibed, so it goes a little bit further than a character-actor would, and taps that little dark side of our psyche that we don't like to go near.
And actor may have to ask himself "why" but we also have to ask "what" -
[ QUOTE ]
Anthony Hopkins doesn't take any damage from playing Hannibal even though he did it a lot during the making of the movie, so why should we?
[/ QUOTE ]
because he follows a script, and we put ourselves in the mind of the villain
sorry, just splitting hairs. carry on. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'd like to point out that the plot HAS to fail as there's no way to enforce any form of domination at all over the game world and as such will have at least one way for the collective 'do-gooders' to vanquish the evil bad-guy.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with this completely. I used to tell people, you want to be a good villain, you have to be prepared to lose.
Sure, you might get the upper hand, only to be thwarted at the last moment, but at the end of the day, good wins, that's how it works.
Of course this doesn't sit too well with people who always want to be the bestest evil villain EVER, and rule the worlds! -
Very nice
Now back to work on that sketch of Lunk, artmonkey! XD -
there was one. the clock tower. apparently it stopped pretty soon after it was started. probably due to people having no real reason to be there.
EVIL used to have quite a few villains in D's, with many nights over half the bar taken up by our members. But EVIL was killed off by internal squabbling, and the splinter group died a death as a pale reflection of the original.
And of course, the largest RPVG, the Corporation, just doesn't have the drinking culture that EVIL used to.
