Sweet. Now my Bubbler can have black bubbles. Hope none of my teammates actually wanna see their costumes or what they're fighting inside my big bubble.
Oh, I'm quite glad to see the new difficulties since I've been requesting them for about 3 years. Wonder if I can spawn 56s again...

Most powers that are made up of particle effects rather than a geometry/polygons, when set to black, will more than likely end up being almost invisible, same way auras do when set to black. Bubbles on the other hand, uses a geo, so will more than likely end up being gray probably due to the bubbles having about 50% opacity. Which ruins MPs plans all together ... hehe.
I was hoping to be able to change the colours of superspeed/hasten because they are particle effects, making them black would make them almost invisible. -
To be honest, Ice Armor on a brute wouldn't be as bad as people think. How many people have been brutes and on a team with a Cold Dom corruptor? Same principal, just different source of -recharge.
-
Shield Charge isn't a primary attack though, Lightning Rod would be ... comparatively:- Lightning Rod and say Spine Burst ... both are PBAOE ... one just has a teleport effect aswell. But that's neither here or there...
-
I just hope I can pre-order on the NCSoft site ... as I live in Australia, the chances of my local game stores actually stocking this is minimal, which means the chances of me pre-ordering are even less.
-
Oh c'mon ... noone wants Yellow Ice ? My Cold/Rad def really wants to give you all yellow ice shields ...
Regarding the difficulty thing, yes, it will be awesome, no more people asking for fillers, and I would say yes, there will be less newbies powerleveled, as they won't be required anymore for mob size increasing. The flipside of this, it will create more people who simply don't team anymore, because they no longer need to for the challenge of larger, higher difficulty mobs.
I also think that the markets will be flooded again, as, by my personal experience, you get more drops on a mission set for 6-8, when there are only 1-2 people in the mission. People will have excess salvage and excess recipes. My thoughts anyway.
Now, power customisation. I hope we can choose the animation we want for the powers aswell, but I'm not holding my breath. I think the people who are most happy about this, are people who have EM, and can finally get rid of those pink power pom poms. I'm also hoping we can change the colour of pool powers. I REALLY hate the effect of hasten and super speed.
Those are my opinions. Take them as you will .... but I'M EXCITED! -

I think one of the biggest features of the MA, is that the devs now have a fantastic tool to make missions with aswell, rather than using their spreadsheets or whatever it is they use. Devs should be able to give us at least 2 new arcs per issue now! (ok that was sarcasm for those who couldn't tell).
Kudos to the devs on a fantastic feature ... now play my arc! -
Arc Name: Delusional Illusions

AFAIK (via City of Data), there's only one debuff in the bunch, and that's -3% ToHit.
Also, I am all over this.

Hmmmm ... that seems ok then ... maybe ... we'll see when this comes out.
As for the costume pieces, they look fantastic. Can't wait. -

[*]Mystic Fortune Power:
Ever wanted to have your fortune read in game? With the Mystic Fortune power players will be able to offer to read each others fortunes. Having your fortune read gives a power buff based on the Major Arcana of the Tarot, and can give a positive or negative effect on that character for the next 20 minutes.

I sure hope the effects of this power are deletable before 20 minutes ... I don't want some terd I don't know, running up to me, using their power, and now i'm debuffed for the next 20 minutes with no way to prevent it/remove it. -
The ID4 aliens were snoutless, but yes, they do look similar. Even the ships.
Awesome work 8Baller. -
I say kill this list, and make a new one to avoid any confusion.

I support this idea, on the basis that it is a player created event that has been running on a regular basis for (almost) 5 years, where people from many servers come to join in. -
Arc Name: Delusional Illusions

Concept ? Hrmm ... possibly an emp ...
I'm going to release it 9th March if noone wants it, just to give some time if someone does though. -

Oh! Better idea... Is there any way you can give certain ratings more 'weight' than others? If someone rates a mission without playing it, it would have a low weight against the total rating, while someone who completes it has a greater effect on the overall rating. What do you think?
*EDIT* This could count more towards the badge, too, in some way.
[/ QUOTE ]
I like that idea too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could go by a mission completion percentage for that star rating (how you work out how far through a mission you are is beyond me)... say you only give the mission 1 star, but only complete 5% of the mission, you give it 5% of a 1 star rating ... someone else comes along, completes 35% of the mission, rates it 1 star, it now has a total of 40% of 1 star, it's not until it say reaches 75% that it actually obtains the star rating (rounding up obviously). Another person comes along, and completes 50% of the mission, and still rates it 1 star, so the total is now 90%, and still just 1 rating of 1 star. Only completing a mission gives it a 100% weight rating for that star value. (although it could also be based on how many actual missions are in the arc aswell, so a 5 mission arc, would be 20% weight per mission, a person only does 5% of the first mission, would count as 1% of that actual rating given).
This would help alleviate people entering the first mission of a fantastic arc, quitting it, and giving a 1 star and bringing down that person's rating, because it would only count as a tiny percentage of an actual rating, aswell as stopping people from not actually playing through an arc, and rating it 5 stars to bump up ratings, as it would only count as a small percentage of a 5 star rating. It also means that it would take quite some time to actually have truly horrible arcs even gain a rating.
Now, whether the devs can actually do this is another question. Just my thoughts. -

UI: Unpinned Friends window will continually reopen when closed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Being pinned or unpinned has no effect. I never unpin my Friends List, and it still continually reopens when I close it.
[/ QUOTE ]
From what I have seen, it generally only re-opens if you are holding a key to move a direction (I think it also affects autorun but not 100% sure on that). Stop, and close your friends list, then you should be ok to keep moving without it re-popping up.
EDIT: This is for when the friends list is pinned, not for when it is unpinned. Unpinned just keeps popping up no matter what I have tried. -
If everyone quit except 2, it acts like a 2 man TF, so spawns are set for 2.
Regarding the nictus in the last mission, the heal would only hit 2 people, so would heal for 400 maybe, a brute and corruptor could easily do more damage per heal. -
What you need to do is set up a couple of key config files, that automatically bind to 0, so you would have bind numpad1 "select player$$loadbindfile sonic1".
In your sonic1 file, you will have it autobind numpad0 "powexec_name sonic barrier$$loadbindfile sonic2"
In sonic2 file, you have it bind numpad0 "powexec_name sonic haven"
I can't remember the commands off the top of my head for loading keybind files, so you will have to look them up, aswell as the keybind file structure.
There is possibly an easier way, and I am sure someone will chime in if there is. -
They are permanent, and they are an aura, not a head detail.
I hope they do some datamining after the winter event to see who had the fastest time on the slopes per server, that would be interesting information to read hehe. -
If I remember correctly, the recipes for Winters Gift are 50 candy canes each. And I also believe that you have the option of taking 5 candy canes at the end of the winter mission reward table (you can get it multiple times). That is if I remember correctly ...
Edit:
Oh and are we going to get any emergency bug fixes for the winter event if any crop up ? You know ... seeing as it was tested ... twice ... for 2 hours each time ... just like the Halloween Event ... which had bugs ... and didn't get fi...
