If a regular proc hits, you'll do 377 points. If you proc AND critical, you'll do 782 points.

    377*2=754... Am I missing something?
  2. Considering the poor AE damage Martial Arts gets they deserve it. They also have among the highest EPS and gain less from recharge than most (you've got a very low recharge count). I think it's very interesting for Brutes, Energy Melee beats Super Strength by 30 DPS. Animations that lasts for an eternity ftw?

    RECHARGE!!!

You have one 5% recharge too much.

I also fail to see the point of the six slotted LotG, use those slots to make Suppression useful.

When slotting purples, I would avoid the one that only gives one bonus, it's usually mostly wasted. For damage the proc is always better, for example.

Replace CT:O with Combat Jumping and slot it with LotG +rech, replace Frag Grenade with Hover and do the same and you've got 15% more.
  4. Explosive Blast fortunately doesn't adhere to the laws of physics. It knocks mobs away from you, even if you target one in the back of a spawn.
  5. Scrappers and Brutes don't get Fulcrum Shift. Corruptors do. Dark Melee would hardly be top tier for that though, the only reason DM has such high single target is Soul Drain and FS makes that meaningless. The highest damage someone could deal with a double stacked full FS is either Stone Melee brute or Fire/Elec blaster.
  6. Power Sinks recharge is waaaay too long for endurance drain to work as a decent mitigation. Electric armor sucks and no amount of end drain modification will change that.
  7. I knew I should have written it down. It might have been FU, Lunge, Slash, Strike, FU, Lunge, Strike, Slash, FU, Lunge, Strike, Swipe. It was something like that, anyway. Did quite a few and don't remember which one it was that won. It might have been the one I said and I missed the Lunge - Lunge thingie. If that's the case the DPS will be a few notches lower, not much though.

I decided to do the math on Night Widows using the same numbers just to see how they compare. They score 220 DPS, placing them just below 10 target DM and a nice alternative for those who wants a more damage Claws toon. No Focus or Shockwave though, which are kinda set defining to me. They also have limited options to increase their damage. No -res IOs and no Shield Defense. Cheap Assault though. Here's the downside: 5.61 EPS.

    What's the chain you used?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's uh... long. FU > Slash > Lunge > Strike, repeat and move Slash one attack to the right each repetition (FU > Lunge > Slash... next one) until the last where Swipe replaces it and then restart.
  9. If you want the post to keep it's original formatting use (code)(/code).
  10. Doesn't Dominate cause redraw?

    Fortunata farmer

In other words, there are lots of cheaper (not to mention faster) farm builds. I hear you can get the recharge on Footstomp down to ~8 seconds without too much trouble.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Try 4.5 seconds.
  12. Widows have 4.8% higher recovery rate and that chain costs 7.9% more endurance than the highest of the Brutes chain. Scrappers and Brutes can also get secondaries with added end recovery, Widows cannot.
  13. I decided to do the math on Night Widows using the same numbers just to see how they compare. 14. Brutes are tough, then can handle almost anything you throw at them. Atleast willpower brutes. It would work, but be much slower than it could be. Teams will really miss that extra damage you could do. Also keep in mind that you should spread the love, if you stun one mob, switch targets.
  15. Um... Spectral Daemons? 40% smashing and 30% NE resistance. BP zombies, 50% NE resist. Razorvines, 40% smashing and NE.

Admittedly Banished Pantheon doesn't exist villainside and Spectrals can be hunted down with the Ghost-slaying axe, but still.
  16. Power Thrust is all kinds of awesome. I used to jump from rooftop to rooftop in Kings Row just to Power Thrust all the clockwork I could find. I even slotted it with Knockback enhancers for the fun of it.
  17. An Energy/Energy should never have problems surviving, they have some of the best mitigation in the game. Blasters do take some time getting used to, if you've played other ATs mostly you may have to get your head around how to play them. All your mitigation is active. Break Frees are also a huge boon, as well as KB protection IO's.
  18. My theoretical Ice/SS gets 166 DPS, which is slow but very possible.
  19. If you think 20% fire resist is that annoying I advise you to stay clear of.... well every other damage type in the game really.

I'm in love with DM's fast pace but Energy Aura reminded me of a poor man's version of /ice armor, without the cool toys.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's because it is, Ice Armor was removed due to being counterproductive for Fury. Energy Aura isn't exactly one of the best secondaries out there, but it's not that bad.

I thought that instead of putting Crushing Impact in all my single-target attacks, I'd look into other options because I just don't think it's worth the money. I thought Stupefy looked like a good set and I looked into the pricing and it's actually surprisingly cheap! I'm tempted to put this in all three attacks that will take it. Is there any pressing reason why this wouldn't be a good idea?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, they don't have any damage buffs. You're a brute, you defeat things. Stunning them for all eternity doesn't help you as much as putting them down. Slot your attacks with melee sets, not stun sets.

In general you want to either frankenslot (use IO's from different sets to maximize the acc, dam, end and rech bonus) or slot sets based on your secondary. Willpower tends to be best if you slot for typed defenses, S/L in particular. This means Kinetic Combats in the attacks and Reactive Armor in your resists. It's expensive as hell though, apparently Invuln tankers just recently discovered the defense softcap.
  22. If you don't want to spend a lot of time and money, you can't beat Fiery Melee. SS is highly overrated and won't do nearly as much damage until you get your recharge skyhigh, at which point it comes close. SS does get better mitigation though.
  23. You can't take Leadership without Stamina. It would cripple you.
