This is a Major Buff for Doms. That being said I get the feeling that Castle had to move these to Beta before he was done internal tests (due to scheduling) so some of the End and recharges should get tweaked back a bit.

Psi was entirely dependent on it's tier 9.. and people are pissed that they made it a true viable set now.. which is a stupid attitude to take IMHO. Beside.. PSW got a good chunk of it's pre-change damage back in the latest patch, since they gave it back the Melee modifier. It's just now smaller area and some mnore recharge.. and if you are Perma-Dom.. Recharge is a non issue.

Theres still a ton of people on from 10 pm EST on, my suggestion, jump on a channel like LBx or Ghost Legion and you should find plenty of teaming opportunities.

Definitely Dark/Nin or Elec/Nin. Actually almost Elec/ANYTHING.. yes.. its That good.

The Sweep combo is very game-changing at low levels. It can really save you. I've also found a new appreciation for the Empower combo. Basically position yourself near a boss with his minions behind him. Then BU+Assassin Blades+Placate Boss (Empower) then 1K Cuts immediately. It's fast enough that 1K Cuts is boosted by Buildup AND Empower.. pure nastiness!!!
My DB is a DB/WP lvl 33 and loving him. My only problem is i need more slots!!!!!!

Well, I know I don't need to justify why I wasn't there sunday but to calm waters I will. May was a severely bad month for me with Real Life so SG took over event duties for me that month. Good thing too- since my modem crashed and burned sunday afternoon anyway! (dsidnt get a new 1 till yesterday)
Nor have I EVER used my pvpec "Title" to stroke my ego.

After my modem went belly up on Sunday I finally got my home rig connected again. Damn you don't realize how much we use the internet till it's gone! Good to be back home Now off to wander the net again...

Let's see...

For a start:

Lag all over the place, that was never there before.
Memory leaks.
Teams having people zone into different instances of the same mission.
Crashing the entire client to desktop when exiting the final mission of a TF.

I'm going to avoid getting into the whole MA "exploit" mess and the badge issue.

Issue 14 is about the best example of poor planning I have ever seen.

Every dev should be forced to have a sign on their desk that says "Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance" and recite that to themselves a hundred times a day at least.

I am not trying to be snarky at all here- I haven't heard or experienced any of that.. could it possibly be server-based? IE hardware failing or such...

In all honestly, the I14 launch was one of the smoothest I've experienced in 4 years. There's still the chat bug.. but thats more annoying then game breaking.

My Dark/Dark is 38, my MA/WP is 40. I am leaning towards my Corr for the simple reason he's fully IOed out. I admit I am a IO set fanatic, I love building for various bonuses etc.. and I am shamed to say.. I just have the hardest time picking a "goal" with WP. The set itself is so well balanced that I'm not sure what to aim for.. more Recharge? HP Cap? Damage? Argh!

And Yes Steele.. MA is a blast for beating things up.. the sound effects alone.... and I did Turn Crippling Axe Kick into a proc-machine. 5 Procs and a Accuracy.. it can sometimes equal Eagle's Claw in damage!

I finally got my Fire/Thermal/Fire Controller "Lukewarm" to 50 last night! It's definitely a enjoyable combo, a very slow starter but shielded, forged Imps backed up by Perma-Melt Armor and Fireball is awesome to behold. I really fell in love with Thermal Radiation playing him.. I'll definitely roll it again when they give it to Defenders.. as long as they give them Fire blast with it!

Now.. what next.. My Dark/Dark Corr? Or prehaps my MA/WP Scrapper? Hmmmm.....

As for patron heroes, I don't know... I could get behind the idea of taking one of the Surviving Eight as a patron - especially if you get to do the whole 'stomping on your patron as a test of your readiness' gig.

This.. a thousand times this!!!! I've actually boycotted playing Doms till they get Dark/Dark.. but those I15 buffs are tempting....

I'm hoping for some simple ports-

1) Axe/Mace for Scrappers
2) BS for Brutes
3) Thermal/Fire Blast for Defenders (PUULEEZE!!)
4) Sonic for MMs
5) Archery/TA for Corrs

These should be minimal work to Proliferate. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

While it's Far from a cakewalk, I've completed it on a DM/DA and Elec/Elec Stalker and a Fire/Fire Dom as well as my Brute. (and all those runs were for the large part sans Nukes/Shivs) It's one of those things that you just have to accept that there are going to be times when things go [censored] no matter what you do.

Though I DO think the merits need to be upped a bit.

Positional Defense is considered superiour to typed, but SR is a very late bloomer. It takes the majority of the set to achieve a "safe" level of defense.

On the other hand.. EA's heal is relatively minor, it won't save your [censored] like say healing flames or dark regen, but it can take the edge off. EA also has a huge amount of endurance mangement, you will never run out of end with it. BUT, any non-typed attack will cut right through you (like a lot of Psi) and the lack of a taunt aura is very jarring. Also the concept of unsurpressed stealth seems so.. un-brute like to most. EA is also harder to soft-cap (though the past change in IO sets helped) Where as SR can softcap using pools and generic IOs mostly, EA requires more of a Set investment.

It ultimately comes down to personal choice. With DM, both can be amazing. EA will gain more from DMs debuffs and SR will gain from it's heal. It really is 6 of one and a half dozen of the other- try them both I say and see where they go.

Just make sure those damn Rikti don't intercept your vid card through the mail- they are probably thanking every deity in the cosmos that they get a reprieve while you are out of commission.

Just hurry up and get back.. NO ONE runs a better raid.
