To be fair it is only a short amount of time, that being said it is FAR outside of the normal time expected for maintenance.
Now some will flock to defend the Devs saying well what do you expect they are giving us wonderful things! Yes, but you don't have access to the old things either while they are busy making awzum.
So either crediting us with some amount of points or a double XP weekend seems a fair thing. This is not normal and the customer can't be expected to be happy with the unstable servers, lag, downtime or other issues that a wholesale remake to City of Heroes 2 brought.
Again these issues are NOT the customers fault and we are paying for the new shiny stuff and often a great deal of cash is changing hands. I have seen people spend nearly $500 on new stuff just to not be able to play it.
*Edit - this also throws out the whole you only pay this theory - some have paid a LOT more this month.
The devs have shown in the past that they go out of their way to make up for any downtime or at least do something in appreciation for us putting up with problems. (Extra Invasions, the Ski Chalet, etc) I doubt they'll stop now. But demanding will get someone Jack-all, Especially demanding game-time or credit. -

While I sympathize- theres no way in hell you'll get it. No MMO is going to open that pandora's box, nor should they. Is it inconvient? Hell yes. But at the end of the day, it's a game. It's not a staple necessary for living. Do you play EVERY day of that 30 month sub? Most don't. You pay for access to the game. However, these are physical mechanical devices and sometimes they need off time for repair/maintenance/upgrades etc. It happens, it's not the norm, so enough already.

There has been quite a few maintenances this month. Always duriing primary gaming time for me and many others. I understand that a few are neccesary for an issue but NCSoft, you are overdoing it.
So I am with Floating Fatman here. I want to be compensated. Since this is past what I consider reasonable downtime for a new issue.
I hate to sound snotty, but this is a US-based company. The majority of the subscribers are in North America, so any upgrades are going to be planned accordingly to minimize impact on the that portion of your users. You can't minimize impact for everyone, just not possible. Sadly that means EU players get screwed. Regrettable- YES. Unavoidable? Not really.
Asking for refunds/game time will never get you anything, ever in any game. The EULA we all agree to kills that idea right there. I'm sure the Devs wil come up with something in-game, but beyond that you are dreaming. -
I too was less than excited to find I was lvl 20 on my tank, but it's the nature of the beast. I get the sense that the SSAs are long stretches of time, like a season-long arc rather than a 2 part story. I can deal with that.
For those who say why must I exempt down- do you run the WTFs? This is the same deal. For the last few issues the content has been slanted almost exclusively to lvl 50, the pendulum is now shifting back the other way as it always will. These SSAs are geared more toward NEW VIPS, not us persay.
Personally I think the best function would be to apply the 'zone event' code to all the enemies in the SSA but I doubt that was possible within the timeframe of Beta. -

It's good that you are monitoring this thread Devs, because it should be re-titled "How to blow away all the good press you've been getting about your game's relaunch in 30 days or less...." What's next? A Monocle for 10,000 points? -

Unai Kemen should be Nuked from orbit- it's the only way to be sure.

The first one off the top of my head? Number 204 in GV. That ending is the worst kind of Duex Ex Machina imaginable. Just the last mission/ending of the arc needs reworking, it is just bad writing.

Couple of things-
1) Next episode IS the beginning of the 2 part finale, they just aren't advertising it as parts 1 & 2. (also, one of the iconic monsters like Cybermen would never be used in a 'filler' episode with Moff at the head)
2) My guess is the Doctor's reason for leaving Amy & Rory is NOT altruistic. He has a plan to avoid his death, but due to what he already knows and what THEY already know of his demise, he can't let them know what he's doing. It's quite possible he's manipulating them in some way like the 7th Doctor would. Nor do I think him seeking out Craig is accidental- Craig lived underneath a timeship for how many years and also remember he got most of the Doctor's memories as well.
3) The Doctor's room..... Sooo many ideas ran through my head I'll just list them-

His Death
Gallifrey/the Time Lords and what they've become.

The other conflict I know about I didn't see coming- Alexis vs Beckett. Alexis changes her tune about Beckett this year- she thinks Beckett is playing with her dad and that's not fair to him. But the big reason for her anger toward Kate is the fact that just Beckett being in her dad's life is putting him in danger. Worse- he's actively "jumping in front of the bullet" for Kate and Alexis doesn't think anything is worth losing her dad.
All in all I can't wait!! FYI, episode 3 or 4 is a Superhero themed episode

On my Fire/Fire/Fire Dom I went Cardiac to get rid of any End issues.
My Interface? Tier 4 Reactive! Let me tell you- this brings him up to a whole new level of sickness!!! The damage output is insane- mobs just melt in a blink.
Judgement- Pyronic naturally (Tier 3 I think atm)
Destiny is Clarion, T3. My Dom is not perma and I barely ever even pop Domination- stuff dies too fast! I went Clarion because I hated the ridiculously high chance my imps got stunned, like every mob... -

I know one of the stumbling block was the fact that youdont have access to the pools at level 1 so they had trouble applying it to the character or something like that.
If that is the case, what is wrong with developing the pool customization and just requiring a player to hit a Tailor to customize?
Hell, this game hands out costume tokens like candy and with the trainers now doubling as tailors it's NOT like you can't cross a zone to one.... -

You guys have been telling us for MONTHS that the tokens would be awarded ahead of time and I know I'm not the only one who went ahead and picked up an annual renewal based on those claims. I wanted access to those costume parts and was willing to spend a fair chunk of subscription money all at once on the annual subscription to get them.
If you didn't have the system in place and knew that it was going to difficult to impliment WHY THE HECK DID YOU KEEP TELLING PEOPLE WE'D GET THE TOKENS UP FRONT?

Cole's character has always been an interesting one. He's a "good man", but because he made a few different decisions, and also because his world is a lot worse off than Primal is, threat wise (mostly due to the Devouring Earth there), he ended up as an Emperor and a Tyrant. He tries to do things for the best, but everyone around him tends to be evil jerks... and he's even become a bit twisted himself, actually believing everything that's happened is for the best.
But still, Cole is still a good man. Not an irredeemable villain like some of those around him (such as Mother). It wouldn't even be a huge shock if he saw the error of his ways. All he wants, after all, is peace... even if he needs to use force to attain it. -
