Quote:Well I sent off the PM, I will keep you all posted on the situation with the badge art. I think they are all reversed as well. All of the Apex badges should be badge art for the Tin Mage TF and all the Tin Mage badge art should be for the Apex TF....lolThat's why I asked as well. It seems they do have them reversed. All 3 from each TF have the names as if they are from the other one. I'm updating now to see if it's "fixed" already or not.
Edit:
Nope. Providing the OP is right, the names are still "reversed". It seems there is some trickery going on. lol -
Ok cool. I guess I will PM my redname buddy to look into this and see if this is a mistake or not. Just wierd how they give a name to a badge that belong to another TF
-
Quote:Not that I doubt you, but do you have either badge yet to confirm you are correct. The reason I ask is, the officlal badge names show your information is reversed.Nope Thats Battle Maidens Spear for Apex and Neuron and a portal for Tin Mage ^_^
Because the following badge art...
has the official badge name as badge_tf_tinmage_complete.png but you show it as a Apex badge. This is why I question the information you have.
I'm wondering if the devs have them backwards or not. -
Program Files - 64 Bit Applications
Program Files x86 - 32 Bit applications
But to be honest, it doesn;t matter where you install programs. Either folder will work fine. The 2 folders just allows you to keep the 32 bit and the 64 bit programs seperate. -
Quote:I normally do not answer support topics when it comes to the site on these forums, but I will tell you this much. Every badge that is listed on the site verifies just fine. No glitches or bugs.Is it just me, or is badge-hunter.com missing a badge? In game, it says I have 958 badges, but BH says I have 957. I've looked and looked, and I can't see anything that I missed when it comes to verification.
http://tinyurl.com/2fkvw89 for my badge-hunter.
I would suggest you manually look and compare what is on the site to what you have on your character in game. There is no way for myself or anyone else to let you know what badge you are missiing as we don't have access to your character.
As for the Resolute, Gallant and Socialite, these issue were corrected when the devs renamed the badges to their proper names after they were aware of the duplicate name issue. I had removed these 3 badges from all characters so that there were no mix-ups.
In the future if you have an issue, please don't hesitate to contact me ingame or send me a PM on the badge-hunter forums. I will do everything I can to help you -
I've never seen image tearing such as this or to any other degree with VSync being turned off. At least not with CoH.
-
Also, a small tip:
Verticle Sync, this is something you can disable and not notice a difference with the naked eye. It will also yield a huge FPS jump as well.
I run full Ultra Mode and if I have it on or off, I can't tell a difference, but I do see a very large increase to my FPS when it's disabled. -
Quote:I was able to ask the devs directly tonight at the M&G in San Francisco about crossfire support, and the response from Black Pebble was that they can't talk about crossfire support for the game as of yet.
Bottom line nVidia gets multi gpu support, while AMD/ATI get left out. Which is dissapointing to me since I only build rigs with AMD chips.
I'm not sure why they can't talk about ATI Crossfire setup, I mean they do support the ATI branding logo on their site showing they support ATI. Unless they made a deal with Nvidia to not support ATI's Crossfire, which wouldn't surprise me none. -
Quote:If you're dead set against the ATI brands, which I won't get into. Then I would suggest you go with this card since you are looking to spend around $150.Alrighty, a quick check - would a Zotac-made GTS 450 with a gig of DDR5 RAM be worth around $150 {tax included}?
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 or the GTX 260 which seems to be a more common card for gamers from what I've read.
I personally use ATI, I have a CrossFire-X setup runnin 2 - HD5870 Sapphire Vapor-X cards (Original Release, not the re-release version) and I have to say it was quite a purchase, but I'm glad I spent the money, as it blows away anything I've ever gamed on. Now I understand why people fought over them
But seriously though, no matter what brand card you go with, there are always problems with drivers and or the hardware. I was with Nvidia for many years, and switched to ATI. Both have great cards. But the ATI cards I run now have been nothing but great for me and haven't had any problems out of it except for one. Which was a eyefinity problem which has since then been corrected when the cards first came out.
But over all, I love them. Hope ya find a card you enjoy as much as I love these 2 cards! -
Quote:I agree 100%I see no reasonable reason why these badges could not have just been cast in the "one badge with two names" scheme just like hundreds of others are. *shrugs*
There was no reason for this mechanics for this badge, if you aksk me it ws a waste of dev time to even make it like this. I made it as one badge on the site, regardless of the settitle number. I see no reason why to seperate the badge. Nor did I feel like coming up with special code for the site to make this 2 seperate badges, only to confuse people when they read the badge information when it comes to the accolade. -
Quote:Well, read your first post regarding this isue, you did accuse me. I don't take that too lightly, specially when I own that ftp server through comcast, its my personal server and I know what's on it. It gets scanned and backed up daily. My IT guy didn't say it came from you. Though I guess I could ask him to see if he can tell. Its useful having someone much more knowledgable about this stuff than I am working for me sometimes. I'm not accusing you of anything Beefcake, I just posted a warning because I didn't want anyone else getting malware who doesn't have personal IT support. If its not because of your pic I appologize....I'm not intending to defame you in any way.
There are literally thousands of ways to get malware on your PC and you come and blame me. Whatever....lol -
-
Quote:Well you and your IT guy are wrong, this is my ftp server, and it doesn't contain malware, sorry. And my system is scanned on a daily basis, again sorry, not from me or my ftp server.Your pic isn't malware, but I picked malware up same day as and I didn't click on anything else new or unusual. Its not your fault if Comcast has malware on their system...not accusing you, just a word of warning since it was the most likely cause. You should consider checking your own system I suppose too....it never hurts.
You may want to recheck the sites you normally go to, good possibility you got it from them -
-
Quote:Btw guys and gals -- don't click on Beefcake's picture link. I briefly had malware on my system today and its the most likely cause. Thank god for having IT employee who works for me.
Get real, my picture is hosted on Comcast and is not malware, so before you go accusing make sure you know what you're talking about. -
Quote:Apparently, you haven't read my other posts. I don't have anything negative to say about marketeers here, hell I even said I do it myself. I was just having some fun, so don't take it so serious. As my kid always tells me take a chillaxativeIs converting worth it? Probably not to most players. I convert, mostly cause I've run out of other realistic long-term goals other than burning 225B more to get my solo-VG to #1. My badger is 95% done (900ish badges), I have a level 50 in every AT, I have an excess of high quality IOs in my base.........so I made an odd goal for myself to have something useful to do while I still enjoy the game. A side benefit of converting is I am marginally reducing the supply of inf in the game which over time keeps down the rate of inflation inherent in a game w/o sufficient inf sinks.
I will conceed that you must have been making inf for a while if you have "blown up" roughly 20-30B to make that much prestige. So you probably know what you're doing marketeering. I don't "brag" either on these forums and rarely tell people what I'm doing. When I post its just to inform people about what works and what doesn't work or to add economic discussion to the mix (which may not be relevant since this isn't a real economy). You seem to have an excessively negative view of marketeers but if you hadn't noticed we really aren't doing this to "get rich" or ruin the market, or whatever....we already are rich and ruining the market makes no sense. We do it for as dissimilar reasons as why people play the PvE and PvP sides of the game. So try not to come here and troll everyone at once. I respect you as a very knowledgable badging guru; There is no reason to drag your rep down by slandering us because we write about making inf in the market.
And to be hoenst, I was sort of thinking of doing what you had mentioned. I too just created a side base for me to put all my hancers in. I called it Rogue Isle City Bank, I know corny, but it sort of fits the role of what I was wanting to do as well. I was going to take my inf and convert it to bring it up to the top 5 over night and watch people go crazy... lol
But it's all good man, don't sweat me, I was just here to poke at everyone and give you all a hard time -
Quote:It's funny how often people forget that maybe, at best, only about 5-10% of the playerbase even bothers to read these forums much less post here. I suspect all you "market jockeys" could give away all of your devious little strategies and secrets about how you make INF here and nothing would be ruined or changed in the game.
You think so? I see change everyday on the markets, salvage prices constantly going up and up. Common alvage has gone crazy high, those salvage that sell for 100,000 isn't much, but when you're the person selling thousands of them on a daily basis, it adds up to a pretty good amount.
I was in a wierd mood last night, I had a good night and wanted to have some fun with the forum goers, if they get mad, they will get over it, it's just a game. -
-
Quote:Ah, so because I don't post on these forums on a daily basis like the rest of you, patting myself on the back because I managed to buy low and sell high. Or to provide a service of selling IOs at 1 million each, I'm not worthy...lolYou can give me names all you like....but unlike the real market where a trade is signed with a medallion # and where even bids and asks are marked by market maker, there is no certainty here. Last 5 is a pathetic amount of information to be limited to.....and I wasn't referring to market PvP in general I was discussing any specific conflict. I welcome you to make the move from badging to market PvP if you like Beef Cake. At badging I respect your knowledge, organization, and general aptitude. But here you're out of your element and not as experienced as many of the other players. This isn't simply "reading some guides and messing up the market" as you've seemed to put it earlier. Marketing which is pure price control will always eventually fall apart. The big money is in providing a service by crafting certain IOs and controlling a significant portion of that IO's production as a niche. If you move into my niches I'll be happy to take some of your inf or use you to make us both inf but myself the larger share...depending on how you play your salvage, recipes, and IOs. If you don't.....why would I PvP you?....no profit.
I dont really want to see what anyone has hoarded....cause then people would want to see mine and I don't feel like posting pics of my 54 tables full of 50-100 IOs each (2 bases on freedom, 1 on infinity, 1 on justice). They may not all be purples, but I still have alot of those.
Ok I gotcha, to each his own I suppose. But I'm not like the rest of you, I don't brag about what I've done or haven't done. I made my post earlier to liven the thread up a bit, but my post wasn't just that, it was telling what I am doing. Troll post if you will.
I flip items every day, I may not keep prices at a certain range for x amount of time, but I make the money. Flipping is easy when you have the inf to burn, buy everything and do what you do. Monopolize that item you want to flip, I'm just glad that I have other servers that I can create what I like to call, bank toons to hold my money since as you said it, storage is limited.
And to convert inf to prestige, bah, not worth it at all. I do it sometimes, but not very often. I don't PvP the Top 100 Rank list on the server, yeah, we are #1 on my server but what does that mean really? You can't do a damn thing with prestige, so to me it's useless and converting my hard earned cash, err I mean someone else's hard earned cash to prestige to me is worthless, I would much rather just store it as I have been
Quote:If you want to impress me with your ability to accumulate inf or stuff (which can be made into inf)....post a pic of one of your toons with more than 80M prestige earned (or converted). Then you can show me you had more than 40B that you just burned cause it was getting too tough to store it all.......kind of like me.
Ok, I brag a little since you wanted to see it, but it's not quite as much as you asked for, but I'm close I guess -

Quote:The nature of Market PvP is that you'll rarely know the name of your opponents...and when someone does proclaim something (driving up price of X) you have every reason to suspect they're actually doing the opposite.
When I get bored, I will go through this section and give you many names if you like, but you know at least 1 of them already... ME!
And I will gladly start taking some screenshots if you'd like
Hell wants some screenshots of my base enhancement tables? I will show ya what I've been collecting and selling ...lol -
Quote:I'll tell ya why, I have nothing else to do with my influence so I came to these forums here and read all kinds of things about how to *bleep* the market prices up like the rest of you. So I have found a new game. It's called Market PvP! Care to battle me?What's not to understand? Purples almost doubled in price over the course of a week, and I'm trying to determine why.
I'm currently driving up the prices on Gravitational Anchors, my next project will be Fortunata Hypnosis! -
Well, I run multiple accounts everday, and I have to say I don't have any real issues other than COH stock piling my memory and not releasing it.
Here is a image of my Task Manager...
I have 12gigs of ram, so no biggie for me, but I have seen it shoot up since I18, as it use to run around 800k max per instance and now its more than doubled.
Fresh Instances...
After about 2 hours of playing.....
So you can see how the game sucks up the ram, and doesn't release it. After I use Tweak Ram, I can free the ram up back to what the fresh instance looks like, or close to it. -
The information you provided is appreciated, I'm just disapointed in the reward from the Vet badge. Which isn't your fault.
-
What a waste since we get that normally from Day Job.
