Just read reply of yours TG and I have to say I totally disagree with. Concept builds just should have as much chance as any one else in PVP other wise you just get uber builds like ranged specked spines regen or what ever the uber PVP set is at the mo.

But It does seem that PvP in CoH has become more about number crunching than the flash bang kerpow fest it should be.

Yeah he has super coffee to drink and Rock Band to Play I know shuttler told me.

A good place to start would be by making all power sets a viable option in PvP. But I'm not sure if its worth doing PvP in CoH as the zones seem dead (unless there filled with stealthed mobs).

Hopefully the Devs are going to look at other how other PvE games handle there PvE and take some ideas from them. Lotro has a good system in Ettenmoors where you have a mix of PvE and PvP you need to take over certian parts of the map to be able to enter the The Delving of Frór. Where you can riad for items that let you get special PvP gear. But of the other side take over the moors they can then enter The Delving of Frór and Kick the other team out via defeating them.

Also if you look at WOW Battel grounds system its a lot better than CoH/V system it has set objectives and set team sizes. And even if you lose you still end up with some thing.

So Rep = Badges right not a big badge [censored] on the whole but I love the trait and deed system in Lotro. If CoH and CoV did some thing similar I think I would probably care more about badges.

As it is the PvP zones have some pretty cool incentives to go there other than just rep. I personaly cant wait to get back to Bloody Bay and get me some Shivans and if it means I have to fight other players for them all the better.

Ok its been a while since I have been in CoH or CoV but what does PvP rep do for you. If I remember right PvP rep is just a score boards system unless they have changed it.

Now I do know that you have the meteor missions in bloody bay which give you a Shivian temp pet power in sirens call its the bounty's which you can trade in for temp powers and I can remember the name of the open pvp zone but you get nukes and the such. But what do you get in RV other than the heavy and the turret badge.

Yeah got to agree you shouldnt need to role a uber PvP toon to have fun in PvP.

Im going to get lessons on photo shop off my brother soon. The sofware I use to make the comics is cool. But I can do so much more with photo shop for the covers.

This post and all those within who disagree with some of the rules, are disagreeing because they will find it alot less fun. To be honest if I did enter a tournie like this, restricted or otherwise, the chances of me winning due to an abundance of excellent PvPers are extremely low, but I would still participate if I thought it would be fun.

Well you have obviously never had arena chat up or read these forums before. There is an over abundance of people saying they rock at PVP on these forums. For some of them it true for others they just think it and some people do it as a joke.

While I do have a PVP title I dont claim to be a PVP god but I prefer arena matches with out travel powers. Hope that clears it up for you.

Right I see a lot of people saying that they rock at pvp. But I also see a lot of people that will only pvp to there rules. They need to have travel powers they will only fight at lv 50.

No travel powers dose not mean that scrappers and tanks will pwn. It just means having to think more about how you fight and what make up your team is. A scrapper cant close if they have been slowed and its the same for a tank as well. All it needs is a good tactical plan and if you take away travel powers people have to think more. Its the same if you have to exmp for a fight you have to think more about your build as well and not go for a crazy cookie cutter lv 50 pvp build.

Well got to say I totally disagree with you there. If you cant fight with out travel powers then your not as good as what you think you are.

They had the same rules for the Brighton comic con competition. I personally don't think travel powers should ever be allowed in arena matches. I mean how can you say your good at pvp if you cant fight with out travel powers.

Sucks being a stone tanker in PvP every one runs away from you.

Solo'ing will be slow and painful but very safe and easy (but that's generally the case as Okton was saying) but I'm guessing if you're going with earth/? you're not too concerned with solo'ing anyway.

Earth is a fantastic set the animations on it are awesome and it lends it self to storm very well on the nature concept. But to say it slow and painful to solo is an understatement. It has to be by far the worst toon ever to try and solo you would probably have more fun watching paint dry while sitting on a red hot poker. But in teams it has to be one of the must fun builds going. Lots of big flashy animations and lots of huge bass thumping sound effects.
