1. Yeah, gotta ToT the alts to get the costume salvage, at least! Weekend play may be limited too because of the event. Hopefully I can cram all my ToTing into Friday night so Saturday can be all MA!
2. I humbly enter my little parody arc:

Enter the Father Hat Gang
ID #21391
Suggested for solo Heroes lvl 14+

Description: Big Guns! Anime School Girls! Jokes Galore!
If you like AzuManga Daioh you'll LOVE "Enter the Father Hat Gang!" (link to poster)
3. Then doesn't he need the full goatee? *wink*
4. Played 3 so far:

LolBat was fun and challenging. A solid arc that moves at a good pace with plenty of variety and humor. It was worth playing for the Chef costumes and bios alone! Truly inspired design.

Quest for Magic & Mission: Awesome suffered from mission design by people who don't have a good idea of what the actual player experience will translate into. The writing was good, the execution...not so much.

In Quest4M there's an automatic assumption that we want to help this girl get powers even tho we don't know her from Eve. As a player who's levelled umpteen different heroes and villains I immediately was wondering if/when she was going to betray me. There was no player motivation, you're dragged thru the story instead of revealing it.

In M:Awesome, there's nuggets of funny but you have to grind thru too many of the same powerful and bizzarely-clad minions to get to them. It felt like it was trying too hard to be obtuse yet there wasn't enough variety to keep interest for an arc that long.

Tho my reveiws weren't all sugar and roses, I do hope to see more Guest Arcs in the future. It's an interesting challenge to outside writers and fun to see if they can make the transition between mediums.

6. Thanks to the 1 or 2 of ya who played and rated this weekend. I went back to the old "in-game avatar" ad and picked up 5 or 6 play/rates on Sunday. Just a couple more to pass 200.

If you haven't played it yet, please give 'er a spin and let me know if ya liked it
7. What was the verdict on the random arcs? Either one any good?
8. Ahhhh. THAT'S what everyone meant by calling you "PW"

Sometimes it's like being at someone else's reunion the way everyone knows each other from the forums. >.<

Oh, and Bubbawheat, Whack-A-Mole rocked!
9. Today was an absolute blast! It's interesting to see how differently we all judge arcs. Some focused on all the little details like bios or level ranges while others on the story and mechanics. Tho I think we all agreed that the Captain Awesome arc could needed a lot more work.

Best thing was actually going at a pace where I was allowed to read the clues, mish text, bios, etc and not feel like I was slowing the group down. I look forward to next week. Thanks WN for putting this together!
10. Is there still room to join in? I've been spending more time with my new puppy lately but an hour or 2 every weekend should work just right!
11. Help me playerbase. You're my only hope!

My silly little parody mission is only 8 rates away from 200. If you like the anime AzuManga Daioh please give arc #21391 a whirl. There's Girls, Guns, and lots of fun in-jokes in just 1 short mission.

I've updated it to meet the new requirements for each issue upgrade so it should be awarding full tickets and xp. Still holding at a 4 Star rating, too

Recommended for solo heroes level 14+ on what used to be Heroic.
(I recommend solo since teams spawn duplicates of the bosses in the regular mobs which should just be minions and LTs and it suddenly doesn't make sense.)

Thanks for your consideration and, of course, feedback is always appreciated.
12. There's this rock spire in Talos on the corner by the Serpent's Teeth marker that has an outcropping path all the way up and around it. Friends and I used to race up to the top w/o travel powers for fun
13. *shrug* guess I've just been lucky. Enjoy the link to Zombie man's skin, anyway
14. Dev Digest problem solved

First new post problem solved At least I haven't experienced it yet with the arrow links. And as a bonus...a much more familiar look!

No, I didn't make either, just found them posted by others on the boards. I love this community
15. Sounds like a fun show!

So, which one of you has to has to wear the tight, short dresses to show off the gams?
16. Played this arc a while back and added it to my Fav list within the first mission or 2!

I've never played WoW and still got most of the jokes and had a blast. Colorful characters, witty dialogue and a fun-filled, tongue in cheek story. Soloed on heroic with a fire/dev blaster...don't recall having too tough a challenge. I don't remember any typos. If there were, I just chalked 'em up to the way the characters talked ;P

5 stars!

...anyone see a Dev Digest around here?
18. Just found another good one:
125715 Dungeoncleaners
by Pep Cat

I've never played WoW, so I probably didn't get all the in-jokes but it didn't matter. Fantastic costumes, funny dialogue and lots of easter eggs!

*Warning: the enemy group can be a bit difficult because they really work well as a team. Low levels bring insps!
19. Tubbi, the idea here is to point out an arc you've played by another author and recommend it.

Shameless self-promotion goes in the stickied "Announce Your Arc" thread above.

It's taken you this long to put him on ignore? I flagged him issues ago and the forums have been better for it.

Glad you started this thread, I never would have played it otherwise. The story was solid and innovative. Reminded me of a cross between the Extadine Lab arc and a classic episode of the Twilight Zone (with a CoH twist!)

I had a feeling that name was an anagram, just didn't take the time to puzzle it out cuz I wanted to experience the "twist!"

Great job, 5 stars!
22. Blaster - 3 *
Controller - 3 **
Defender - 1 * (TA/A so he should be a blaster!)
Scrapper - 1 *
Tank - 1

Corruptor - 1 *
Dominator - 1 *
Mastermind - 1 *
Brute - 1
Stalker - 1
Crab Epic - 1 *

Really looking forward to the new I16 Blaster Power Pools!!

23. Finally got around to playing this arc this morning, good job on a fun lowbie arc!

I especially liked how you revealed the Skulls' background lore via the plot so new characters get a better idea of what they're all about. You get high props for supporting existing cannon

While the story was a bit tragic, it moved along at a good pace and wasn't too difficult as an exemp'd, solo, heroic Blaster. The custom bosses were colorful and could easily fit within the established Skulls group. Great job!

My only feedback on improvement would be mission #3. At first it felt like a filler mission due to the lack of dialogue outside of the boss room. Also, the Skulls' motivation for summoning a demon is unclear. I'd add in a couple patrols talking about WHY they stole the book and what they want the demon for.

Five stars for a very solid story!

Arc 2180 - Bricked Electronics
A solid story, and a very good lowbie arc. This is actually one of my favorite lowbie arcs, and I've run it a few times. Plus the game needs more stories involving Goldbrickers, so there you go.

Is this the right name & ID number? I couldn't find it

Arc 159140 - Challenge of the Splendid Pals - Episodes 1-3
A Superfriends-esque story with some really great custom mobs, also some innuendo. There are two other Splendid Pals arcs that continue the story (159131 and 179871) and those have fantastic custom groups as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thanks for pointing this one out, Chum! Despite the typos it was a 'splendidly' fun arc!! The costumes & character bios were awesome and even the 'busy' dialogue was a riot
25. 60197 - Becky's Revenge
Great dialogue that's not only shoot-milk-thru-your-nose funny, but also dead on respectful to existing lore.

1396 - Grim Riddles
One of the most innovative uses of AE I've played. Great character development and dialogue to boot.

84008 - Jenkins' Guide to Supervillainy
A fun arc that fleshes out CoV's favorite punching bag with fun dialogue, challenging missions, and cannonical background.
