C-chat's still around, but it's on the quiet side. A few folks still pop in and out who you'd recognize. I've randomly teamed with solo a few times in the last week or so and lucas makes rare appearances as does flea.

Though I've participated in and helped lead many, many, many raids on Justice over the years, this was my first Champion raid.
I was impressed with how well it went, especially with the zone never completely filling.

I've had a claws/sr for about 5 years now. She is very zoomie and has good DPS but very poor burst damage. She's a little fragile, compared to other scrappers I've played, but nothing too serious, especially after a nice, solid IO build a while back. Claws is (or was) the fastest recharging scrapper set, and the boost from SR's quickness is a nice compliment.
I also have a spines/dark who is just a freaking machine. It's a pretty end heavy build, but alpha slotting should help with that. I forget the exact number right now, but my spines/dark build has more than 5 procs slotted in auras. She kills things while i'm afk, and when I'm actually around she's like a lawnmower.
I've heard good things about spines/fire, too, but never played it past about 35. FA has a damage aura that could take a proc, but DA has many more.

Try just teaming for a bit on many different types of toon, rather than building teams. Try soloing on many different types of toon.
The game isn't so tricky that most people with any amount of time in game can form a competent team that doesn't need to be led.
Play the two most different toons you can imagine to 50 asap...PLAY, not PL.
Join whatever TF/SF/Trial/Badge channel exists on your main server, and join teams that form there. (or, roll a toon on Justice, if you can't find your server's channels)
#1 most important leadership issue in the game: it's a game. people play it to have fun; however, "fun" means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Don't take things too seriously, but don't be a dick, and don't allow/abide the dickery of others. That is to say, play nice. -
