  1. Hey dt long time no team! Defenders are corruptors flipped. They should basically play like your corruptors did with higher debuff and buff values while offering lower damage. If you want support without havingg to heal cold is awesome if you wanna be able to heal emp is great and you can make any one person on the team untouchable. Send me an in game tell @BL00DBATH I have tons of 50 fenders and would show u any of them in action.
  2. That is president merchant. Pwiki him
  3. I think ppl aren't replying bc you can't really troll someone who is so open to other ppls ideas . Seriously tho I think everyone would agree that more reason to take down these unique critters would be a big plus. I doubt merits and especially a merits would be the way the devs did it tho. Something more unique is called for but I haz no ideaz.
  4. I think it also has quite a bit to do with the devs assuming that most people will still play in paragon city over the rogue isles. Forcing you to side switch to get ppps just seems like a good way to throw in a little incentive bc you need the badge to get access anyway.
  5. I would like to agree that emping is not easy when played to its full potential. That is all.
  6. Wow I am so glad that I was wrong about that. All veat stfs. Yes plz!
  7. You guys realize that khedlians and soldiers of arachnos cannot switch sides right?
  8. Both are viable options. The advantage to the mace blast is you don't have to switch weapons between melee and ranged. But the drawback to that can be knockback. Some of the rifle attacks are -def which is always a plus. It is also to skip those ranged attacks and play like a stalker with a war mace and if you need ranged attacks pick them up in ppp.
  9. And Sonic imo is better than ff because it buffs and debuffs rather than just buffing. You can cap your own sm/lethal or close to it and have decent res to others between tough and whatever epic shield you take. If you like to get into melee rad is great because of irradiate and the dark epic pool opens up nice damage from soul drain.
  10. Roll an traps/ar defender and play it like a blaster. Problem solved. Like others have stated the job of a traps defender is to make stuff die. If you want to keep others from getting hurt try cold domination. No heal powers but you won't need it.

  12. Idk if you could tell or not but I thrive on the death of a teammate. Mo tfs are more hassle than I think they are worth. I only have one toon with the mostf badge and that's a tank. Tho as an emp you play a key role. By cheaper what is the cut off? Are oblits too expensive? What are you willing to sacrifice? I would be happy to make you a build if you tell me what you want out of it.
  13. I'm interested in making a new dominator. I rolled a mind/thorny and here is the build i came up w/.

  14. Any combo is great but plz give us an example of your playstyle and previous toons. I love defenders and have played just about every set to atleast 40 so feel free to pm me here or send an offline tell to @BL00DBATH yes they are zeroes.
  15. I do actually have two good friends one that is a rl friend that I can talk into playing their perma ab emps and the drooling does begin.
  16. Yep and I home she reads this. Miss you laev!
  17. Not to sound snarky but that's kind of just reinforcing the difference between corrs and defs. I would just like to know if anyone knows a good combo other than like dark/dark that fits my playstyle.
  18. Oh I wasn't aware you could take a fortunata redside . So what I gather from the replies is that I can't expect a corr to perform as well as a comparable defender..guess I'm going to have to try my hand at doms.
  19. Is there a good tankcorr combo out there that has slipped under my radar?
  20. If you are ok with running into melee dark and soul drain really opens things up damage wise. If you want to stay at range go power mastery for sure. Power build up will boost your damage as well as your debuffs, and as a rad that's a good thing. Also you can power build up then hit vengeance and make it uberx2 god mode.
  21. So I've always been a bigger blueside player than red. Defenders have always been my favorite archetype. Corruptors seem like the obvious choice for someone who is running out of defenders to roll. What are some good combos for a guy who likes to tankfend with a d3, rad/sonic, and an emp/rad. Does pain dom on corrs stack up to the tanking ability of an emp defender? Does fire/rad do that much more damage than a rad/sonic? Any experienced corrs out there wanna weigh in?
  22. I would have to agree that dark is probably the best epic for most defenders that want more damage. It is possible to perma soul drain. I'm not saying that it's cheap to do but it can be worth it. Dark consumption does have an extremely long recharge though, so if you need more end that is a more reliable choice. What kind of defender is it?.

    Quick fingers!

The easiest way to lighten your burden as an emp, or any buffer for that manner, is to set up keybinds to more quickly target and buff. I would like to share my own personal binds, but this is just a template. Figure out what works best for you.

Go into the options menu and select keymapping.
Find the targeting section and set select next teammate and previous teammate to the home and end keys.
Next set select teammates 1-8 to the corresponding numbers on the numpad to the right of your keyboard.
Then set your buffs to the numpad enter, numpad +, and numpad - or 0 keys.
For example fortitude can be enter, cm can be plus and ab can be 0.
If you play the way I think most people do using wasd to walk and mainly use the mouse to look around then this shouldn't be a hard transition to make. Though you can always try other keys to see what works best for you. At one time I had my attacks set as the function keys.
  24. Although you are a rad superteam, I still would say take both vengeance and fallout. Vengeance is a great way to make one spot worth 7.5% recharge and a god mode for the whole team. And fallout is just awesome, there is no reason not to take it. On this team I would probably say those two powers are better than radiant aura. For a rad death of a teammate can mean the fastest way to kill a mob. With all three toons having a rez with a pretty nice buff, you can make death part of the scheme.
