Epic Pool Dark Consumption VS Power Sink for end recovery
If given the choice, I always opt for Power Sink because I don't have to worry about a ToHit check. Power Sink is autohit, and thats one less thing to worry about. I have no insight on base values for endurance returns but I'd imagine that in indentical mobs, you're likely to miss one with the Dark power, which makes Power Sink a no-brainer for me.

I have a 50 in every AT, but Scrappers and Dominators are my favorites.

From an Endurance recovery point of view Power Sink is FAR superior. They both provide 25 endurance per enemy but Power Sink is autohit and has a 2 minute recharge time compared to 6 minutes for Dark Consumption.
The other thing to consider though is the rest of the set they are in. Dark Consumption is a level 41 power in it's set while Power Sink is level 47. So if you're short on space DC might be a better option since you don't need a pre-requisite. On the other hand if you do have three power choices available for your epic DC might still be a better option since it opens up the rather nice damage buff from Soul Drain while Power Sink requires you to take either Electric Fence or Thunderstrike which may or may not be powers you want (I will admit a certain fondness for Thunderstrike as a "git outta mah face" power).
to throw in my 2 cents, i usually like dark consumption more because it actually does dmg to the enemies too
power sink is nicer cause it is faster rech, but if your not hurting for end then go for the dark consumption cause it can also be used as an attack as well
I would have to agree that dark is probably the best epic for most defenders that want more damage. It is possible to perma soul drain. I'm not saying that it's cheap to do but it can be worth it. Dark consumption does have an extremely long recharge though, so if you need more end that is a more reliable choice. What kind of defender is it?.
With a quicker recharge, I would take power sink so that I could nuke early and often pop a blue, power sink and be back in the game.

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
Was looking to possibly update my Dark Electric. Overall I have no complaints.. I have him doing +1 +8 with no issues. But not being at defense cap I have to constantly keep an eye out for Darkest Night and make sure it is on and on the right mob.
I was looking to see if I could look into a few powers to up his DPS a bit maybe. I have the EPIC Thunder Strike but the KB can be a pain sometimes.
I was looking at Dark because of the DPS addition as well. But having Power Sink up every 51 seconds really helps out.. Compared to the 2 minutes I would have to wait for Dark Consumption.
Overall I am complaining about nothing really.. Just looking to be greedy

I currently have Epic Pool Power sink I was wondering if someone has any insight with Dark Consumption as far as Endurance recovery goes. I know with Power Sink I can get a full bar of endurance off a a group of mobs about 5 or 6.
I have been using mids to compare some info, but I would really appreciate if someone with Dark Consumption could give some insight if they value it for endurance recovery..
