Thanks for the quick sale!

Hey man, I'll pl you a toon to delete blue side if you want.
-
Does anyone know if the damage shown in mids is representative of what one creeper vine will do if it is in combat for a full duration or some sort of average for some made up number of average vines?
-
I have been enjoying my new plant/kin/stone on virtue and creepers seem to behave differently than anything else I have experienced in game. I assumed that they would be a targeted patch similar to say tar patch. But creepers seem to move from group to group with you. I even had them pop up and agro a group before I was within range of that group to see me. Can somome please explain what the rules for how this power performs.
Also, do they behave like pets in that their damage boosts are independant of mine or do they do damage based on what my damage boost is? Being kinetics I want to know if I should lay them down once I cap my own damage or should I lay creepers then hit fulcrum shift. Thanks in advance! -
Read the top of the page, it says it will be down until 12:00 PM Eastern.
-
So now that we know that Hibernate for Stalkers has been replaced with Icy Bastion, do you think they would do the same thing with Scrapper Ice Armor?
-
Bass I would totally roll some sort of ice scrapper with you if we ever get the chance!
-
-
I completely disagree that ice melee would be low damage for scrappers. Pretty much all of its attacks have nice quick animations, the more you attack the more you will crit. I would reroll my fire/shield/blaze to ice/ if given the option.
-
Actually now that I open Ice Melee for Tankers in Mids, that would be more fun than I realized.
Originally I was just on the boat of "more options please", but I might actually have to get behind this. I would play an Ice/Shield just to have another option besides Fire/Shield for amazingly amazing Scrapper. And while you're at it, give us some Ice Mastery. It could be similar to Leviathan but switch out Waterspout and Summon Guardian for Sleet and Ice Storm! (ok, did I just get too carried away there?) -
And simply put, Ice Melee would not be low damage on a Scrapper. Those fast attacks amount for a nice amount of Critical Hits. Also, the slows would be nice for mitigation, on say, an Ice/Fire scrapper.
-
I just don't really get why anyone would say no to any new, fun, working, not overpowered new options. Especially since ice armor is one of the lesser played sets in the game.
-
I am not going to rework that build for you this time, as you did a pretty good dumb-down yourself. But do as Deathleader said; go in and find what has bonuses have been used too many times. I'll give you a hint, you won't need 2 of the 2.5% Recovery Bonuses and you really don't need to 4 slot LOTG's, the reason I had four slots before was the HP bonuses from 3 Shield Walls and then the LOTG 7.5. If you're not using the PvP IO's just go with 3 Slots of LOTG. That should open up a lot for you.
After you tweak that build, I'll make my own version for you again.
This is funI check my phone all day hoping you've fixed your build/took advice.
-
I don't know if you can afford what I slotted, but if you can't let me know and I will dim that build down a bit.
This build is a Tank in every sense of the word except you don't have a taunt. 1550 HP if you take the time to get the Accolades. about 26% Defense to all, as well as all the -ToHit that comes with Dark. Almost 49% Res to S/L/Nrg. Big Heals.
You've got controls in -Spd and Stuns from the Rez.
Tons of damage from the AoE's, even a nice melee attack.
Also note that I slotted Spiritual Core Paragon, I make optimized builds, I can't help it

If you want busy, listen to Dechs. If you also want to play a toon where you're constantly chasing it's potential at the possible risk of being outperformed by other archetypes, also listen to Dechs. WS's are fun, but sometimes a little TOO busy.
Regen's also very busy, and can be EXTREMELY tough (at least against single targets).
If you want fun leveling, I would suggest pretty much any Brute, playing chase the Fury Bar is nice at the lower levels. If you want fun at 50, go Fire/Shield/Pyre Scrapper and leave bodies in your wake. -
Predator that build is still pretty bad, TBH. It's not just the slotting, you've made some big power selection mistakes. First and foremost, Stealth, Grant Invisibility and Invisibility are pretty much pointless. You cannot run either toggle power while Shadow Fall is on, and Shadow Fall is a much better power than both. Grant Invisibility is also redundant as Shadow Fall is AOE. You need to work in Boxing, Tough, Weave and Maneuvers. Maneuvers is more important than Assault, but by dropping Blizzard (see my previous post) and possibly Frost Breath you should be able to keep Assault as well as take Vengeance. Having all of these powers allows one to get the recharge very easily from the one slot LOTG 7.5s and they all happen to be useful, as opposed to the whole Concealment Pool being a waste.
-
Oh, and I just checked out your original build from the OP. Wow.
I would drop Frost Breath, long animation time, just a cone, you're almost better off just waiting for Ice Storm to recharge, especially with a decent recharging build.
Drop Blizzard, I've played Ice Blast with and without it, and it seems to me that staying in the fight w/o the downtime from the nuke seems to outweigh the damage. And Ice Storm feels powerful enough IMO.
Darkest Night, Shadow Fall, and Dark Servant are MUST HAVES. I can see where the argument that you don't need DN due to the fact that Fearsome Stare does about the same -ToHit, but I would argue there really isn't a better power available to take over DN. Shadow Fall is basically beefed up Maneuvers with Stealth and Resistance thrown in. Fluffy, well Fluffy rules, half the time I don't need to heal myself if I'm near him, and his debuffs allow me to play way more aggressively as I do not need to actively debuff enemies to stay alive.
Medicine pool is a complete waste on a Dark Miasma character. You have THE most powerful heal, that happens to be AOE around the caster(as opposed to the other big heal in Transfusion being around the target). You also have THE BEST REZ IN THE GAME. Well it's actually a massive -Regen debuff, that happens to rez and is AOE AUTO HIT! Oh yeah, it does some damage and stuns too. And doesn't require any dead allies to use. It also rezzes more than one fallen ally if used for that purpose, so two rezzes are more than redundant on a Dark Miasma.
Acrobatics is nice and everything, but it does use endurance on a character w/ a few toggles to begin with. Especially now w/ Clarion available, you don't really need the hold protection as you can get total mez protect. I only mention this as a given because you've got billions slotted there in PvP IO's and will assume you have some assets and plan to invest some time into this one.
You really don't need both SJ and SS, IMO. The way the game works now and how easy it is to get temp travels like the Raptor Pack and the GvE Jump Pack, Super Speed is usually enough for any toon, barring concepts.
I would suggest //Dark Mastery for perma Soul Drain as well as Dark Embrace and Dark Consumption. Another good route would be //Soul Mastery for Power Boost, Dark Embrace, and the Fortunata Mistress pet(perma'd). Mu wouldn't be bad if you wished to keep Power Sink-I would stick with the shield and the pet here as well. Leviathan is ok, you can get a cone Immobilize similar to Tenebrous Tentacles, allowing you to sort of play like a Dark/Dark with Ice Storm. This would also allow you to make up for the lost cone from Frost Breath(School of Sharks would serve you better in controlling than Frost Breath). Here I would take the shield and either Hibernate or the Pet. Leviathan would not be my choice. Also I feel that //Mace Mastery is a bit overrated and overused for Dark Miasma. I know the survival numbers were much easier to get on my Defender than they are on a Corr, but Dark brings so much survival just by doing your job, that soft-cap isn't really as big of a deal as it might be on some other builds. Between Fluffy, Darkest Night if it's a tough battle, and Fearsome Stare if you have time to use it preemptively do tons to keep you from ever even getting hit, and if you do get hit, making it not hurt as much. Maneuvers, Shadow Fall, CJ, Tough, Weave and the APP/PPP Shield help a lot too!
I've played Dark/Ice/Dark, D3 and Cold/Ice/Dark to 50, as well Traps/Ice to about 40 and countless other lowbies with either Dark Miasma or Ice Blast, and those are my tips to a better deathbringer! -
Mind if I ask why'd you'd go for //Elec? If going w/ hero epics I would suggest going with //Dark, but the PPP's offer quite a lot for a corr. Especially considering how you can have Fluffy, a perma PPP pet w/ decent recharge, and the Lore pets when need be. I do not really play Corrs, but I am currently loving my Dark/Ice/Dark Defender.
Here's the build.

That is the exact reason I would want it though, mostly just for -range on LR so I can hold him w/o being touched.
-
Does the Widow version of Confront do -range? That's kind of a make or break deal for me and taunt powers.
-
I read most of this thread but got bored of the constant back and forth. I would just like to comment on the original post and say that if I lead and form a team, then happen to dc, I feel I have every right to ask for the star back and get it without much question. I took the time to get online, to continue recruiting between missions(or in a lot of cases recently, trials) instead of going afk for whatever. I don't look at it as taking my time playing the game to enjoy it, I love this game and see it more as getting the most value of my somewhat limited time online. So the response to just quit and go solo is completely bogus. There are not always pools and pools of people who want to team. Please have the courtesy to respect my investment in leading a team.
-
i have played and love rad/sonic, but it really shines in single target and lacks in aoe. howl is a great attack and all, but it's still a cone. and again i don't think he's looking for a good leveling toon, he wants a god at 50(+).
-
Even if they do change reactive to tick somewhat less than it does now doesn't mean that it will become horribly useless. I imagine it would be sorta similar to the shield charge nerf, unless you are really watching the numbers compared to the old, you will still be happy with the destruction laid in your wake.
