I either have to get a team member to teleport me, repeatedly spam /stuck until he hits shore, activate a jetpack temp power, or zone to Pocket D.

Bugged it to tech support weeks ago, still waiting for a resolution.

That way if i notice something odd about the game, like the servers being down, i can immediately click on the Announcements section, followed by the Community and Dev Digests, and then, if nothing has been posted anywhere in those sections, i look to more esoteric areas like Technical Issues & Bugs, Player Questions and General Discussion. The vast majority of the time i don't even need to ask before having my question answered. It's really rather amazing.

Edit: Or you could just click the links in this post...

Seriously, that idea would make shard gathering even more grindy that it is. (Not that I think it's grindy at all, but some have said it is.)

Yep. Been on a lot of teams with all lvl 49 EBs. Cakewalks.

    From the very first post:

    Greetings and salutations!

Issue 19 has come out this past week and, surprise, we've got a new version of Mids' for you. Sadly, we haven't implemented the Alpha Slot yet, but you'll be seeing that in an auto-update later this month. If you have your Auto-Update feature turned on, then you should already be getting the new version when you next activate Mids... Or you can choose to update from within the program. If you really, really want, then you can get a new install exe from the Titan Network.
  8. Pulled out from another thread:

My suggestion, have an event that nukes all the AE buildings from orbit.

In the same issue, allow story writers to put their stories as part of existing in world contacts. Let me explain: If a player walks up to a contact, and clicks "What else is going on" a list of MA story arcs opens up that are level appropriate to the contact. For ex, Azuria would only be allowed to be the contact for lvls 1-5 content, and would only display levels 1-5 mission arcs. Put in a "suggest a contact button" for MA authors who aren't familiar with the level ranges of every zone and contact, which would suggest a contact and a zone for an author's story.

Make it so that All MA stories must be at least 3 missions long. Normalize all xp so that it's the same xp you get from regular missions. For custom critters, put in a slider for authors: one side says "customized" the other side says "100% xp". The more you move from one side of the slider to another the more you lose the other option.

Keep tickets as is. Keep inf as is. Mark clearly when an MA story is a custom critter fest. Perhaps use the old "this might be tough without friends" line.

Hire a full time team of GMs to specifically watch for when exploits are used. (Anyone who thinks the current customer service team is of adequate size to do anything about the exploit issues is fooling themselves.) Use the 3 strikes you're out system.

Farming should be left as is. If someone wants to farm, as long as they ARE NOT using exploits let em. Just put in a button in the contacts window I mentioned above that says "do not show farms", or "do not show combat only". Not going to dwell on this part of my suggestion as i couldn't care less if someone farms or not, as long as they aren't using exploits.

Get rid of stars, HOF, and other stupid dev awards. Just put in a thumbs up or thumbs down system. Those stories with high thumbs show up higher in the "what else is going on" menu for contacts. You MUST complete at least the FIRST mission of an arc (remember I suggested all arcs be a minimum of three missions above). I used to be against having to complete a mission before rating an arc, but no longer care if it improves the AE.

Reward authors who get many thumbs up. For every 10 give them a free AE story slot. Allow all authors the ability to earn up to 10 free ones. Once they get to more than 100 free AE slots, and get the 110th one, drop a random Pool C in their email. (Remember you have to complete at least one story in an AE arc until you can rate it.)

Disallow all the old auto complete tricks that allowed a person to finish a mission by just walking into it, killing one mob (unless it's an EB, AV), clicking one glowie to auto end a mission, etc, etc.

Those are my suggestions. Have at them.

  10. EDIT: Also want to thank the Titan Network as a whole again, as it (and now with Mids 1.9) makes downloading and reworking builds stupendously easy.

If only the game developers made in-game respecing this easy.
  11. Grats! Thanks for the update.

Works fine on my Vista, xp, and Windows 7 boxes.

Also figured out how to get 187% recharge for my fortunata.

    Thanks Issue 19!
  12. Congrats!

I take back my last statement. I do care it's gone.

No matter the level of complaints or enjoyment of something, if it's bugged the devs will fix it. Whining or no whining won't really make a different if a mission or feature isn't working as intended.

I'm surprised that after all this time folks haven't figured that out.

Personally I figured that the mission wasn't working as intended, even though I enjoyed smashing the faces of multiple malta ambushes one after the other.
  15. Okay question, if I have between 7k and 9999 AE tickets, what range should I roll, and why? (Trying to find out what the new consensus is.)

    I think.

Except that it's all one economy now. It doesn't matter where I do my shopping. ALL my characters benefit.

If my hero acquires something it's as a good as my villain having acquired it. It's as if all of my characters are in a super group together, trading IOs among each other.
I might be slow also but I don't get what she's getting at. To me once they merged the markets and allowed folks to switch sides, there's NO NEED for any further solutions, sledgehammer or not. I long ago stopped looking at my characters as heroes or villains.

The devs just caught up to my way of seeing my superpowered toons with Issue 18/GR.

EDIT: Thinking about this more, it appears that she is talking about it from pure game theory and game designer interest. That's all well and good, but I'd tell anyone going to design another game with factions that separating the factions so that they can't trade or sell to each other is a brain-dead, mind numbingly stupid idea in a new game with a similar player population size as this one.

You can get away with it in a game with the size of a certain other mmo's population [who's acronym rhymes with mom ], but not with one with a small enough size that any significant number of people logging in for one faction means the entire opposite faction just doesn't exist at any given time.

The fact that the devs quickly decided that creating YET another silly faction via the Preatoria players was a stupid idea, and simply merged ALL the sides during GR beta speaks volumes.

Wait till tonight and lets see how many more complaint threads show up.
Actually I'd argue you'll see less as there will be more players on, thus more teaming to bang out the arc fast. Since EVERY mission in the arc uses the group complete feature (if you have the same mission you are given the option to complete it when your team leader does).

Has nothing to do with being leet, as again has been proven MULTIPLE times.

You can however drop it. Nothing wrong with that.

The only thing I'd agree on is that it needs to be cross faction.

Everything else you're talking about, you're wrong about. As has been proven multiple times with the weakest of characters SOLO with just SOs.

    This. THIS IS ENDGAME CONTENT.

It's not supposed to be something that you can just walk in and press one or two buttons and win.

To be honest with you the mission isn't that difficult if you just use some strategy.

You can say this is a player problem, but there wouldnt be a ton of complaints if there wasnt some problem with the mission and some problem with villianside teaming

Though two seperate issues, they are problems.
And I'll ask you again, as you keep avoiding it: what toon are you using? What's their pri/sec, etc?

YOU are on the forums and I assume you are here cause you want help soloing the mission? Or did you just come here to complain?

EDIT: Also whether you like to hear it or not most players (for various reasons) have gone HEROSIDE. You can easily go there now. So honestly the lack of villain players is something I couldn't care less about since there is option for folks who just need to team to clear this mission. Which you don't. Nor do you need IOs.

Is this really what the devs want?
I would also assume TEAMING would be a suggestion also.

People are going to use the drop function no matter how easy a misison is or isn't. I often use it to speed through arcs just to get the reward at the end.

the ITF is one of the best designed TFs in game and people still speed through it

That's the only thing I'll agree with. It really should be a cross faction arc.

It's not at all bad game design, as that mission has to be shown to be soloable by the weakest of characters. Evidence after evidence in both closed and open beta has shown that you don't know what you're talking about.
