  1. I think DeProgrammer is deserving of his own special title (not just for this ).

    Thank you!
  2. I've had it happen on old and new characters. I switch from one to another then back, and the map is not in the "uncovered" state I left it in. The one case I can think of specifically for this case is First Ward map on a praetorian I had made prior to Freedom release. Another case is a level 50 I ran this weekend on a Mothership Raid. The entire RWZ was covered, that was really annoying. I do have most maps pretty much memorized, so it isn't much of a hindrance, but very aggravating. I've also had characters get the unfogged maps from other characters.

The thing that bugs me the most however is having to re-click all the map options. I have all options checked except names on every character. I don't know if they're related problems, but thought I'd throw that one in there.

I actually don't mind having FoW on maps, it helps me while badge hunting.

    This - word for word...

    Beams/DM?

Add me to the list. I like dark - dark miasma, dark melee, dark armor - so I figured why not? Seriously though, the -tohit seems really nice with beams debuffs. Dark consumption, soul drain and dark pit are what I would call the "gotta have em" powers with beam. Of course that's my perception right now, the higher I get, I may change my mind.

    This... In it's entirety.

To me, the story of First Ward is more immersive than any arc I've played in CoX. I enjoyed the GR Praetorian arcs for much the same reason, really good story-telling. I would rather sit back and enjoy the journey instead of rushing to the end... over and over and over again - which I will do because I enjoy the iTrials too.

    I21 Mids

If there was no mid's, most of my builds would be severely gimped by something I hadn't thought of ahead of time. So, THANK YOU for all you do to keep my heroes and villains of CoX happily heroic, villainous and not reduced to mere sidekicks.

I had to laugh at this because I could have been the one to post it with one exception: I've only been around off and on for 6 years.

I bugged/reported/posted concerning the missing Wisps aura all through beta and it hasn't shown up yet. I'm guessing it's just part of a larger issue at this point. I really would like it back though. It helps my newbies look a little more superpowered-ish.
  9. This is so much better than I was hoping for!!!!

    Wonderful job!

Any ideas on what I can do?
I'm running a DB/WP Scrapper with my husband's Fire/Fire blaster and it's been loads of fun. The trick is for you (the DB) to attack first and let the mob gather to you before your running mate fires anything. Basically, I run into mobs executing Weaken or (now that i have it) Sweep combo and by the time the combo finishes, he's launched his attacks and the result is very few hospital trips. I can hold most of the aggro so the few that break off are no problem for him. It isn't really necessary to pull a combo attack, tho it does help, but your goal is to get most of the aggro at the beginning of the battle. We're lvl 36 now and we're running +1/+3 or something like that.

It's a strategy that works well for us, so I thought I'd share. Depending on your playstyle, it may or may not work for you.
  11. Best Male: Hero 1, simple but really effective
Best Female: After Ghost Widow, I'll throw my 2-cents in for Dominatrix

This is excellent advice, in fact, you can have the powers for the weaken combo AND empower combo all by level 8, not that you can fire them both, but you can have them . This sets you up pretty well for the lower levels.

For DB, I would suggest putting off getting Power Slice until right before lvl 32 when you pick up One Thousand Cuts.

For invulnerability, I would suggest, for lower levels, holding off on Temp Invul and Resist Elements and take Dull Pain. If you 3-slot Resist Physical Damage you should be fine and Dull Pain increases your hit points so it's very doable/survivable. Trying to grab all the DB powers you really want at the low levels can make it hard to get the secondary powers that help you stay alive while you kill things. All that said, get Unyielding at 16 for mez, knockback, etc.

These are only suggestions, a lot will depend on your playstyle and what you're comfortable with.
