lol...my goal is to get one of each AT to *30*...
I still have Blasters, both Khelds, half a level on my Dommie, and both VEATs. Once that happens (hell is freezing over at that point), I'll increase my goal to 40...
...cos it's so unlikely I'll ever get every AT to 50 that it's like a bad joke. -
I have an elec/fire brute who is level 45 or 46 (I forget :blush
and I have a couple binds so that he can Lightning Rod even though he's in perma-hover.
/bind J "+$$powexectoggleoff Hover$$powexecname Lightning Rod"
/bind h "powexectoggleon Hover"
Pushing down J toggles Hover off, releasing J queues up LR. I put the little reticle where I want it to go, and click my mouse. Then I tap H to go back to hovering. It makes him soooo much better to play. -
Quote:CoV does add something to your account: CoV comes with a free month, but if you don't use it before GvE, you can't use it and get that free month.Right, if they have GvE already, then CoV wouldn't add anything to their account. So that's working just as Raj said.
But you do make an important point. If you had both codes at your disposal, the CoV code would be used first, and then GvE.
AFAIK, even though CoH and CoV have been merged, those codes will still stack. Adding GvE on top of that will still work because it comes with exclusive in-game items. I think Architect is the only one that technically doesn't, but you do get to select between a couple booster packs afterward as well. -
The one-year sub saves *A LOT* of money, but it is also a significant amount up-front (I think it's like $140), instead of spread out over the year. I pay around $11/mo because I pay yearly, instead of $15/mo paying monthly. That's basically getting three months of gameplay free.

Quote:While typically true, it's not 100% true, as it has been proven that some retail codes need to be applied in a particular order in order to process correctly. The full rule is - excluding any extra time, if adding an edition of the game adds something to your account, it will stack (and add any game time it includes). So even if you've never used on, you will not benefit from a CoV original edition.
Someone on the forums reported that they couldn't use a standard CoV code (the original box, not the collector's edition) when the only other code on their account was a GvE code. There was another report of something blocking another code, but at the moment I don't remember what it was. -

Super speed's activation is Powers\Run5.ogg -
Sell on the Market. For blasters of that low level, they're in Atlas Park and Kings Row and Steel Canyon, called Wentworths.
You can store them in supergroup salvage bins, but first you'd need a supergroup and a decent handful of prestige in order to make enough space to have a salvage bin.
You can email them to other characters, but eventually those characters will also fill up. -
This isn't a modern card. In fact, it's several generations old, and it's in the "upper middle" of its series, powerwise. (First number is generation/series, second number is power....higher is better.)
Even the most recent cards can't run everything at total max with smooth FPS at all times. -
They're dumb.
No, really, Shadow Fall is freaking awesome. If you're not leading a hostage/rescuee to the door, there is no reason not to use it. If you're leading a hostage/rescuee, it interferes. It also makes people's costumes grungy and their toons translucent, which may be a legitimate complaint but IMO Shadow Fall is more awesome than their toons' costumes. -
There is no "talent tree" or anything like that.
You get a power. You put "slots" in that power. You put enhancements in those slots in that power, which makes that power better. Enhancements are our "gear".
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancements
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Invention_System <-- more advanced "gear"
Quote:This is not exactly true. You cannot stack Conceal>Stealth with stealth toggles. You *can* stack Conceal>Stealth with powers that provide stealth but are not primarily a stealth toggle. See here:also neat to know i can stack stealths from conceal / dark armor

Quote:Holy crap, this is the first time I've heard the "recharge shuffle" in such a way that I understand it the first read through. The best way to think about it is that Hasten (and all powers) recover 1 point per second. Hasten needs 450 points to recharge.
Recharge buffs change the number of points you accumulate every second, so with hasten active, you get 1.7 points back per second for each power that's recharging.
So, click Hasten. For the next 120 seconds you accumulate 120*1.7 = 204 points
You still need another 246 points for Hasten to recharge, and will have to wait 246 seconds for them to accumulate at 1 point per second.
So the total recharge time will be 120 + 246 = 336 seconds. -
Dark Armor includes a stealth toggle for Brutes. It's not as good as Hide from Stalkers, but it's stealth. You can get a stealth IO to stack it with for invisibility, although it's still not as gooda s Hide (since Stalkers crit out of Hide).

Just a quickie note: markets aren't divided by server. If you are on blueside, you're trading with all the servers' blueside crowd, *including* across the pond (EU and NA use the same market servers). They're currently only limited by faction (blueside->blueside, redside->redside).
And after Issue 18 drops, you'll be trading with all servers... blueside *and* redside, as they are being merged. -
Quote:It doesn't matter what the goal/intent is, as long as it's done to the fullest capacity... that's min/maxing. Tweaking that last little half a percentage point into your build to do whatever it is you've chosen to do just to be that tiny bit better...Now I'm confused. I thought a min/maxer was one that is extremely good at one thing and one thing only.
For example, a Blaster created for maximum damage output without regards to anything else would be a min/maxer. A toon built as a "jack of all trades" that can pretty much do everything but doesn't specialize in any one thing is not a min/maxer...or at least I thought this was the case before now. -
The store has been pretty much CRAP for the last few months. Contact support, sadly.
-
Also, if you go more than two days without a reply from support, update your ticket to let them know you're still kickin' around in line. They automatically close tickets that are more than 72 hours without an update (it's an artifact of their automated system, NOT the GMs themselves).

Quote:The + makes the first command run when the key is pressed, and the second command run when the key is released.First time I've seen the + sign used in a bind command...Can you please tell me what it does exactly?

Just for future reference, making petitions is against the forum guidelines. Please don't freak out if a mod punks this thread. Instead, just make suggestions and other people can agree or disagree with it as they see fit.
As for the suggestion, I'd like to see it shorter recharge... but I would also accept if they changed it so that it responded to recharge buffs and left it at two hours' recharge. Could get it down to 24 minutes if you're at the recharge cap! :O -

Load your build into Mids, then go to the Window -> Power Graphs option. In that window, first switch the first dropdown to "Powers Taken" and then switch the second dropdown to "End / Sec". This makes it show how much a power would use if you cycled it endlessly. Put more endurance reduction in the biggest offenders.
Second, switch the second dropdown to "End Use", and if any of those look like they're using too much for one use, put more endrdx in (anything over 20 end is hugely excessive and needs endrdx PRONTO...anything over 10 end should get a second thought for more endrdx).
In the end, you have to choose between "using too much endurance but mega awesome recharge" and "hey, at least I'm not sucking wind after every fight". -
Quote:*snicker* *points up* *giggle*Similar to Ktisune, I use:
NUMPAD1 "teamselect 1"
NUMPAD2 "teamselect 2"
NUMPAD3 "teamselect 3"
NUMPAD4 "teamselect 4"
NUMPAD5 "teamselect 5"
NUMPAD6 "teamselect 6"
NUMPAD7 "teamselect 7"
NUMPAD8 "teamselect 8"
But for SB, I use:
ADD "powexec_name Speed Boost"
That's the + key on the Numpad. Makes it easy for me to reach, and remember. -
If it's in your data folders, it's been "installed". It's just texture replacement, it isn't actually changing your game. It's not an actual "addon".
City doesn't have actual "addons" in the WoW style. They only have texture replacements or third-party programs that minorly interact with the game itself. -
By default, SHIFT+number selects a teammate whose number in the team list equals the number in the bind (top teammate is SHIFT+1, etc). Put bind for speed boost in a handy spot.
Alternately, you can bind the number pad keys:
/bind numpad1 "teamselect 1"
/bind numpad2 "teamselect 2"
...
/bind numpad8 "teamselect 8"
...and then bind a nearby key for SB:
/bind add "powexecname Speed Boost"
Then hit numpad1, add, numpad2, add, numpad3, add...etc. -

WRT the Mission Architect, as long as either a) the mission is publicly published, or b) you are on a team where they are testing an unpublished arc, you can play other people's stuff.
