Hey guys. I'm reactivating my account after about 5 yrs. I played up through 2005 sometime, I think through Issue 8 (just before the crafting system came out). I have two level 50 heroes and one level 50 villain. So basically, I'm wondering what major changes am I in store for? Is the level cap still 50? Is there any reason to play my 50's or should I just level new toons? How has the crafting system panned out? How is the instance architect system? Can I access missions other people have made? I am looking forward to making a dual pistols blaster and the Going Rogue expansion. Well I can go on with questions, but feel free to talk about anything new since starting with Issue 9. Thanks in advance. =)

WRT the Mission Architect, as long as either a) the mission is publicly published, or b) you are on a team where they are testing an unpublished arc, you can play other people's stuff.

It has made people very rich and very powerful.

It's a lot of fun if you know where to look or enjoy creating missions.

Painful answer: Read all these issue overviews:

And the coming issue: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Issue_18

There's way too much stuff to list out fully... so I'll leave the extra details to some poor chump to do for me

Yep, and it won't be changing. There's going to be the incarnate system, but details on that are thin (it's going to be released after Going Rogue's initial release, but still be part of it).

Both, of course! There's a fair amount to do on 50s, and this game is all about alting as well! The End Game System (possibly temporarily pushed back) is going to be coming with GR, which'll give 50s more to do.

Incredibly insanely popular. It's by no means required, but it can help make builds people otherwise wouldn't be able to stomach fairly fun and enjoyable.

Lots of fun stuff in there (lots of throw away stuff also, but the HoF/Dev's Choice is all solid). And yep, anyone can access anyone else's published missions.

Edit: That's what I get for writing stuff! SCREW YOU PEOPLE!

One thing you didn't ask about, but that is very important is that they changed rules on sidekicks/exemplars in issue 16, to the point that everything you may remember about these is now wrong. Key differences:

1) mission owner (or the star, if no mission is selected) is automatically a mentor for the whole group. Everyone is exmped/SKed to them.

2) "SK Leash" only prevents you from earning XP, it does not drop your combat level.

3) Exemped down players still earn xp, as if they were at their "natural" level. That includes TFs and Oro.

4) Exemped down players have their stats reduced to their current level, but they have access to powers as if they were 5 levels higher. So, a level 50 player on a Positron TF would still have HP, damage and so on of a level 15 player, but they would have acces to powers they selected at levels 16, 18 and 20.

5) You can switch earning XP off, either entirely or only when you're exemped in your options. In effect you can old-style exemp yourself to your current level.

ADD: Needless to say most of these changes are huge buffs, but old PLing techniques no longer work (which was part of the reason for these changes) Of course, it is still possible to PL if that's your thing, just don't ask for bridges .
