    This is my attempt at the mind/fire pvp build. Please critique and give feedback/fix anything you see wrong

  3. So i just recently leveled a mind/fire dominator to 50 and finished all t3 incarnates for him. And after playing in RV for awhile with some friend on their rad/psy defenders i decided that I needed a PVP build for him, i tried searching for some on here but didn't have any luck and i tried making one but i get kinda lost when picking power pools and what to aim for besides capped hp. I was wondering if someone had a fairly good pvp build that they wouldn't mind sharing somewhere around 2 bil or less preferred. I don't want to go all crazy and PVP IO the whole build, I'm just looking for something fun that i can zone pvp/team arena pvp with.

  4. Well with the new going rogue and being able to switch sides there is alot of combos you can choose from and most will do well but if i were making a trio these are some of the options i would consider and since you want an aggro holder a tank would be best:

    fire/fire tank
    fire/kin corruptor
    and any cold

    that would be a pretty damage dealing trio and the cold sheilds would give ur fire armor a big boost.

    invulnerability or will power/ either fire or super strength (i like aoe tanks for damage)
    ill/rad controller (good tf toon and can stealth missions easily)
    scrapper/brute/blaster (for damage)

    these are just a couple choices you can pretty much make anything work, just post what you like and everyone will help you in the right direction

So im looking to make a Dark armor tank but i am having some trouble picking a secondary and i decided here would be a good place to write about this. i am looking for something with good AoE because i want to kill things so i was looking at fire elec and super strength. and i thought the end drain from rage would be bad on a dark tank but i was not sure. but elec and fire both seem fun. i was wondering if you guys could pursuade me into picking a good primary for my dark tank.
  6. my brother and i have been playing the game for quite some time now and were looking to duo some toons to 50 again. i was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions and why you would say they were good. we were looking at maybe elec/fire scrappers with the new fire armor buffs but we would be willing to try just about anything out redside or blue. thanks all for the help it is greatly appreciated
  7. Thanks for all the replies and help but im still torn. looking from a PvP standpoint which would be better, dark melee, or katana considering as umbral said, any scrapper is amazing pve wise
  8. Both katana and dark melee look very fun and brutal for single target damage, which is what i need. I plan on doing pvp and pve and need a set that is fun and alright for both.

    Dark Melee has -tohit which looks like it would do great stacked with maybe regeneration as a secondary. On the other hand....

    Katana has -def if im correct, as well as divine avalanche allowing me to stack so defense which also may work with regeneration or resistance sets such as invuln or fire.

    Any thoughts on which would be better are all welcome!
  9. Dark Melee/Regen sounds most fun for me so i think ill roll that up as my blueside PvP toon.

    I notice you said brutes arnt all that great, so what about another dom to play? Maybe ice/energy?

  10. Id say dual blades ranks up there at about 3rd for best aoe. 1,000 cuts out of hide can be very brutal, and sweeping strike isnt a sissy power either. I kill fairly quickly on my DB/electric/mu.
  11. Currently I have a mind/electric dominator and a sonic/thermal corruptor ill be fixing up for pvp, but in addition to those two toons, id love two more, one more hero and one more villian. Now, hero wise im pretty set on rolling a scrapper, now the hard part is picking what would be fun as well as good. Looking upon mids Katana and Dark Melee both look fun and viable. Katana/invuln fire or SR look like good combos as well as Dark melee/regen or Dark melee/SR. With that said id like some input about those choices!
    As far as villians go... I am pretty set on a Brute or a Stalker. Stalkers I am completely lost on for pvp, and for brutes, well i was thinking something like Battle Axe/Willpower or Battle Axe/Super Reflexes. Any advice or disagreements on these will be helpful! Please post your thoughts!

    I have a 50 permahasten, permadom Grav/Energy (with actually good powers and ones slotted for use and not for hasten), a non-perma 50 Fire/Fire, and a lowbie Earth/Thorns dominator.

    They all feel better with the buffs. I am glad that they were received and appreciate the dom revamp.

    Im sorry to say but I personally hate the "buffs." I played my perma mind/electric after the "buffs" were released, and without the damage boost from domination being up, i do far less damage than I would have pre i15. Im not sure about the other sets, but electric assault definatly got the shaft, and im considering stripping her IOs and rolling a /energy dom
