My name is @Zanshin Convoy and I approve this message. -
I thought I was the only one that named and gave back story to some of my vanity/buff pets. This is a very saddening change that was added stealthily indeed. I searched all forms of patch notes posted at the time the build was implemented, i even did a ctrl+f for the word "pet" on the page and there was not a single mention of any pets. This lead me to think it was a bug, but now I see that it isn't, and it greatly saddens me. I love very much to run around with all my pets following me.
Many of my toons, as I stated, I have even given them back story, such as my fire/kin controller and elec dominator. They are sisters who love to collect toys and use their powers to animate all their toy robots (clockwork vanity and buff pets, mvas, imps).
For many of my robot toons, their mekmen and MVAS are scouting drones that transmit their info to the shield drone, which is linked to the command unit (my toon).
I urge the devs to at least separate the buff pets from the vanity pets so we can spawn the buff and 1 of the vanity pets. It would still be saddening to not be able to use all of my beloved pets, but at least we will be able to use one of the vanity pets alongside the constantly dying buff pet. -
Protector is down now too. So maybe it wasn't something someone on our server did...or someone did it so hard that it's spreading...

Quote:And there can be limits to that. Make it so on each toon, you don't gain all those additional unlocked slots right away, but just as you level up and gain more slots normally, those extra slots would be gained along with them. 50's can gain from their hard work right away instead of having to buy recipes and grind crafting to gain these badges when they have already passed gaining these lower level recipes from drops.Since there are rewards like unlocking salvage and recipe inventory attached to earning invention badges, I don't see them ever making them global.
Some of you are missing the point, you have this badge and you are overlooking the possibilities. Kheldarn, you have this badge on a toon, maybe two. But what about your other toons? Do you not enjoy gaining badges on all your toons?
I would bet money that if we did a poll on how many 50s have this badge on all servers, less than 10% would have the crafting table. That says something to me about the way this system of badges is earned.
However, along with my initial proposed solution, I will provide additional insight to possible changes that could make this much more enjoyable.
1. My initial proposal of making these badges global, making the storage gained gradually through levels as an increase to normally gained inventory slots.
2. Make the memorization badges global and make it so you just need to gain the inventor badge after that from the tutorial to gain the accolade. That way you still need to get to level 10 before you can get it, which is also the level required for sending emails. This is much like how the Architect Engineer badge is, and not everyone has this badge still, there is still reasonable work involved to gain it.
3. Significantly lower the number of recipes needed for the badges and make it so it is either/or not "you need x many level 50 and x many 45 recipes made to gain this badge, and exclude the "x number of total recipes crafted" badges except for how many are necessary for gaining all the memorization badges. -
Quote:I see where you are coming from, yes, it is a reward that people will have to work toward. But this is a game, and if it's not fun, than what is the point? As little a change as making them global badges seems, it would make the reward much more worth getting, and in turn, making it more fun to work toward. Not supposed to be fun. Its a time sink which rewards the player with 1/2 price crafting anywhere they want to do it.
Yes. I agree having it global would be great, even if its just the accolade and crafting table, but with the email system its kinda moot. I now use two accounts at the same time, one shopper emailing the recipes and salvage to the crafter.
And so, you can make all these enhancements for all your other toons, but then you aren't getting the credit for making the badges and getting the storage expanded and worktable on that toon are you? -
I had a profound realization today. It happened a long time ago too but I was busy so I didn't get to say anything about it, but the great powers have called me once again and have inspired me to proclaim this.
The invention badges, you know, the ones we need to make 50 (obligatory obvious exaggeration) of every level and type of badge to be able to get them memorized? This is unproductive and inefficient, not to mention not fun. So, it is something that I have yet to do because it is not worthwhile enough to do. You know what would make it worthwhile? Make them account-wide. You put the effort into getting these badges, but by the time you have them, you don't need to have them memorized really, because you have all that you would need. Sure, you can make more and send them to your other toons, or sell them. But really, how does that make it any different than if you could make it on those toons themselves, other than the unnecessary hassle? Especially now with the merged market, allowing us to trade between alignments.
Instead, veteran players will benefit from their efforts by gaining their worktables on all toons, and badge who-...hunters...who want to get all the badges they can on all their toons (like myself and many others I know) will have the enjoyment of having these badges and their benefits on all their toons without having to spend countless hours and inf trying to get it on all the toons they love.
Please, I ask the devs, make it so. Make this piece of the game more fun and worthwhile for the masses, wont you? -
Lol...I knew it...
I was so pissed when they re-added the prompt to mystic fortune. I just knew it was because some ragers decided to spam the devs because they are too proud to be getting buffs. Seriously, there isn't a prompt for Increase Density or Speed Boost, there isn't a prompt for Therm shields (which i know sends some computers to hell). There's no prompt for Enforced Morale. These are things that I know some people consider detrimental at times, but we don't see having to prompt every time we get hit by a buff that some raging kid decides they are too good to have or can't stand the little tiny detrimental effect along with the larger improvement. Sure, there are buffs that I don't really like getting, but I'd rather have them than nothing. Maybe your build sucks that you can't deal with a tiny accuracy debuff, but that's your problem, don't make it mine.
Do you know how annoying it is to try to hit "accept" on your prompt durring an AV fight or a big group battle, or while trying to herd? Those are times that having every buff can be a big help, but taking the time to find where the hell my cursor is so I can click my accept button might mess something up.
As others have said, make an auto-accept or auto-reject available. Then we can all be happy. -
Quote:This screenshot is a perfect example of my point of wanting the organic body and legs to be added to /with skin sections. The red that has been made to look like skin (which is one of the few colors that can accurately mesh with color pallet and actual skin color choices) looks absolutely beautiful. Being able to use that same beautiful effect with any skin color would definitely be a big sell point for me. It was done in a similar manner for the witch's pieces, is it too much to ask for a little of the same treatment for this devs?I got this screenshot the same way. Turn on walk, jump, wait til the right moment, then screenshot.

I don't know if this has been said or not, I haven't had time to read through all the thread or forums to see but I just thought I'd get this suggestion out there, hoping that something might become of it.
The Organic Armor body and legs for females could easily be given body/legs with skin versions, replacing what is the primary color of the "under" part of the armor as the skin, and making the metallic armor parts the colored sections. Also a small covering part could be added to the upper arms parts and leg parts that connect to the knees, easily meshing them with the gloves and boots design and still using the single color that is only allowed for "with skin" sections. I think this would be a great addition to the already impressive set, and I hope enough people feel the same way that we may be able to inspire the devs to make this happen, bringing further value to the upcoming booster set. -

PS: sorry body mastery is sloppy lol -
I don't know how you did it, but you did it. Good job.

...and where in bricks, we may never know. I don't really even know why i'm still here actually. Maybe just to see that I'm not the only one that thinks this is ridiculously impossible the way it is played out.

Nobody won the week before last. Even though my screenshot was exactly the same in angle and position as hers but I was standing on the wrong side of the counter of the tiki lounge bar...

I think she's making it impossible to see anything on purpose now...
-
this is a bit ridiculous, don't you think? Is it really that necessary to make it that unwinnable?
-
Don't we always? lol...

(oh darn, looks like you beat me to it...) -
Dear White Box of Doom,
I went to the tailor to put on some new snazzy colors for my fire armor, and was having some difficulty with the custom options. For some reason the options kept going back to default and wouldn't let me save my custom colors on bright fire armor. I tried a few times with no luck and I became angry and used my magic. However the Icon employee did not like this and called Serge over to tear me a new waste disposal unit. Fortunately, as Serge was on his way over to me with a most disgruntled look on his face, you popped up and saved my rear bumper White Box. Thanks for the save. I've missed you greatly.
With love, Yours Truly

Dear White Box of Doom,
How are you? I am fine. Sorry we didn't get to talk over double xp weekend, I was busy raking in the goods. I hope you had a nice time and got to meet a lot of people over the weekend, I'm sure they were all thrilled to see you again.
I just got my crey pistol on this toon, isn't that cool? Then I went jumping around atlas to go to my base and go sell stuff and suddenly I was attacked by flying monkies as I was about to land on city hall and break my legs. I thought I was a Gonner until you caught me and saved me from certain death. Thank you White Box, you are a true Hero.
With love, Yours Truely -
