The Alliance of Steel is a multi MMORPG game super group /guild. We were formerly known on Freedom as the hero group the Star Rangers. We are currently known as the villain group Galactic Empire on Champion. The Galactic Empire was nominated favorite villain group in the 2006 player choice awards.
Recently some of our members from other games wanted to give City of Heroes a try. So we have formed a new supergroup and made a home for them here on Freedom. Yes. We upgraded our server hardware as part of our re-investment plan for City of Heroes/Villains, but the fact of the matter is that we've actually hit a new capacity threshhold.
To be clear....There are more players on Freedom now than have ever played on that server. Ever.

Thanks to server transfers. Freedom already had the highest population which attracted even more players from other servers that felt they had less teaming and PVP options due to a player decline. This left Freedom and Virute over populated and the other servers even more underpopulated.
While some other servers did hit yellow over this DXP weekend, at least half stayed green which was previously unheard of during a DXP weekend before server transfers.
While I agree server transfers are good for the game it seems to me there are now too many servers with too little a game population. I don't know if less servers would help or not. If server capacity has been increased and the player population has decreased or even remained steady, fewer servers or server mergers may be the way to go giving Freedom and Virtue some much needed relief. The population on other servers would then be large enough to encourage players to stay there.
Players being locked out of their server during an event weekend should never have happened and is unfair to the paying customers who came out in droves to participate. -

You're too kind. Stupid would have been a better word. I was too much the Noob to realize the benefits of posion in PVP until after I deleted him at 50 and rerolled him to 50 again as a Bubble MM.
Bronx is so hardcore Villainous, heroes need to wear depends in their tights just in case his name it uttered aloud in their presence.
