I think it is time for some new enhancements. But not just ordinary enhancements like for ranged, melee, defensive, or resistance. I'm talking about enhancements for Assassin Strike, confusion, fear. Two of these have enhancement, and confusion has a purple set. But most of these enhancements lack in secondary powers. There are not any that I would want to slot all of, in these power sets. Assassin Strike doesn't have any of its own enhancements and has a lot of potential.
Not saying it has to be like the purple sets or PvP sets. Just some new ones with better secondary powers.
Like less debt protection in level 50 enhancements. Having a character at level 50, I tend not to think about accumulating debt. Actually look forward to some of it, as to work on the debt badges. So seeing debt protection in sets that can be slot at power level 50, is a turn down for me.
Some may like the old enhancements as they are, I feel that more can be done. I would like to see more secondary powers as more stun protection, minor knockback protection, increased recover, res. to damages and/or def. to damages, or increase in damage or accuracy.
What does everyone else think? -
For most part I find I16 lacking in appeal. The sidekicking and lacking are pretty useful in my eyes. But I'm not impressed with color changing. Kind of neat at first, but overrated in the long run. I am disappointed with the new villian power sets and the new VEAT powers. Instead of trick arrow and archery, I would have liked to seen a psionic power set for corrs. While thermal radaition is a plus for MM's, I think a kinetic MM would have went over better. Find claws a little lacking since there is no new armor set to go with it. But the biggest disappointment is with no new content. The 5th Column are overrated, just glorified council members. There are plenty of enimies that don't get utilized enough. How about some Outcasts in the Rogues Isles? Or access to the Shadow Shard for villians. Shadow Shard could easily be made co-op like RWZ or Cimerora. With the release of some new games like Champions Online, or the upcoming Diable 3, CoX needs to add more content for us to stay around. Not just trying to pacify us with color changes. I feel this new issue feels more like an add on pack or booster pack.

There is probably not a good solution to it. But as a whole the merit system needs to be recalculated. I have trouble with how the Dev's had accessed which TF/SF gets how many merits in the first place. Such as the Positron TF gets 64 merits because it is 14 missions long, while the Binder of Beasts SF gets 12 merits for being 6 missions long. Yet the Binder of Beasts has a hero and an arch-villian in it to be defeated. Even if you doubled the mission in the villian one, thus doubling the merits, you would not even get close to half of the merits from the hero task force. Maybe the idea of a Posi run is suppose to take a long time? But my first time to do was just under 2 hours, I fail to see why it has such high merits. I agree though, something needs to be done.

I like the concept of the your system as a whole. I just don't like earning a new merit. Since there are vanguard merits, candy canes, AE tickets, and normal mission merits. Maybe consolidate all into a universal merit. But it is something to take a look at.

I think one problem lately with Hamidon raids, is there is not enough veterans around to run them. Tried putting one together red side back in Febuary 2009. Not enough villians showed up to be effective. Then this past weekend in August 2009, another attemp was made blue side. Too many new players to the mix to just listen to what needed to happen. Sometimes hard to get 48 players to follow one person. But thats our fault.

I find CoD fine for a stealth power. Use it to run past enemies and ghost missions. I would just like to see DA be a little less endurance consuming and get some sort of knockback protection like the other armors. It kind of limits which travel power to take, even if you get enhancements with knockback protection.

As far as adding 20% experience bonus in the first 20 levels is really not needed. I can blaze through those levels with a lot of ease. The 20% bonus needs to be for the last 10 levels. Getting from 40 to 50 takes forever unless you are doing lots of task forces. But I like to do some role playing and solo alot. To get the full experience of the game, not just seeing how many 50's I can make. I feel those are the areas that need to be addressed not the lower levels.

As for GM for Cimerora (I assume that's what you meant by Crim?) and RWZ: well, not every zone has to have GM; besides, Nerva has been gagging for one for a lot longer than those two zones. What's more, RWZ thing is the MS Raid, it really doesn't need a GM on top of that.
HEHE, Nerva has a GM. Kill 100 spectral spirts to spawn him. Caleb.
Port Oaks and St. Martial could use one though. -
Villians should have access to Fire Base Zula and the Shadow Shard Zone. Already have missions where villians storm the Portal Corp, so why can't we go to the Shadow Zone?
-
They could make a Strike Force for Port Oaks, where you fight Skuls and Outcasts. Skul bosses are hard to come by for the badge and Outcasts are really rare in newspaper missions. Paper missions the only place to fight Outcasts except for a Mayhem one. Hard to get that badge too.

Hero side is like more by the Dev's. Look at the merit values of task/strike forces. Does a Positron TF really desever 64 merits while the Binder of Beasts gets only 12. The villian side is harder but shorter, and has a Arch-villian and Hero in it. Positron doesn't. All it has is like around 15 missions that can be done in under two hours with the right team and a stealthy teleporter character. Most of the task force can be done in under two and a half hours on blue side. Yet the merit payment is really high. Not really fair.
So I agree with you man.
Things need to be changed. -
How about being able to assassinate other players. Not PvP, but a contact (say someone from the Family) where you can pay (like around 10 mil infamy or influence) to have another player killed. So when they log in and are not in a mission, a sniper shoots the player dropping hit points in half, and then an ambush of Elite Bosses show up to finish the job. If the player is defeated, a message shows up saying "You've been Assassinated". If they survived they get a badge for "Survival". If they survive multiple attempts then a number in the badge increases to show everyone that they survived the attacks on them. Then if the player wants to know who sent the assassination out after them, they can go to the contact and do a series of mission for them. After the missions are completed, the contact will give up the name of the player that sent the assassination. So the attack player can then send his/her own assassination. The assassination should be on a random counter so it can happen at any point when the player is not in a mission or building. It gives some players a chance to exact revenge on player that they don't like or can't get along with. Should be able to cross both heros and villians; meaning that a villian can place a hit on a hero and vice versa. Along with villian against villian and hero versus hero.
No debt should be acquired from death. The contact should be only accesible to lvl 50 characters and be used on lvl 50 toons to restrict abuse of a lvl 50 with millions of infamy/influence picking on a lvl 1. This would be an exciting challenge that would boad over well. Add some excite ment to the normal humbum of play. -
Since CoP and base raids don't seem to on the board to being fixed, how about changing some of our base components? Like the base teleporter, how about giving it a use now? How about allowing it to tp into the PvP zones? What about everyones vault rooms? Give it a purpose instead of just a place for decorations. Maybe give the vault room a place to store recipes? What about all the base defense items? Just turned into eye candy or a waste of prestige?

Ever since the AE missions were put into play, the Dev's had a problem with players wanting to farm missions. First the Rikti Communication Officers, then Freakshow, and lately the Green Mito's. Personally I see it as a great way to get some of my other characters (ones I don't play as much) leveled up quickly. Some don't like these power leveling groups. Nerfing the players missions won't change anything. Best thing to do, would be to re-vamp the whole AE Mission system, by letting all characters earn the same XP. Meaning whether its a minion of the Council, Freakshow, Character Created, or any of the many enemies picked; they earn all the same XP. Truthfully, who would want to fight a Boss, Lieutenent, or Minion that gives out less rewards than another one. By making them have a set amount of XP, players can then focus on the story line. Common sense can go a long way.

Strange how many people did not like the farming done in AE. But nothing is being done about people having two or more accounts farming in the PvP zones. Have you tried going to Bloody Bay lately? If thats not ambuse, I don't know what is. Can't even enter zone cause everyone is farming at the entrance. If you really think about it, the game is not fair to new players. Mission tips says you don't have to use the new IO enhancements, but a new player can't compete with a veteran without them. Then a new player can't get the new enhancements cause they can't fight for them in the zones and can't buy them cause they cost too much on the Black Market. Would that make a new player want to contunie playing the game??

I play villians 99.9% of the time versus heros. Now I have noticed that Heros is so much larger with over 20 areas to explore and task forces in almost everyone of them. I think the villians side needs to be expanded. Villians contains only 7 areas, excluding PvP and co-op areas. I know heros has been around longer, but really does that matter? Instead of making a new issue with something expeirmental, how about making a new area for us villians? Or bring back some really awesome stuff, like the Cathedreal of Pain trial. By the time I got my base ready to do the trial, the trial was pulled from the game. Felt like it was a waste of time. Now what good is the vault room in base design? How about for Issue 16, instead of coming up with new powers or costumes; how about 10 new levels to gain? Dont have to have new power sets, maybe just one new enhancement slot per lvl? To complete the powers we have. I think this would go over well. At least with the villians on the pinnacle sever would enjoy it. Thanks for your time.
