  5. Hi guys, I was hoping you good people could have a look at my build and see if I'm missing anything horrible or if you have any general slotting advice/nitpicks that would be great. I'm having a lot of fun with this Fort and am looking forward to start putting together it's finaly build.

    I am quite attached to Psi Tornado just for a another AoE to spam when Dark Oblit isn't up against big spawns. I know its animation is slow (and its not really optimum) but I quite like the power and the fact I can put a Force Feedback proc in to feed my obsession with recharge to get Psychic Wail back even quicker! Also, this build is mainly based on Silas' Fort since I thought it was such a great build (and thanks again to him for the ideas!)

  6. Yes. That proc works very well in Stamina.

    It's a 10% chance for a "small" amount of endurance every 10 seconds.

    EDIT: I'm not sure what the *exact* amount of endurance is, sorry hehe.
  7. I used 3 ToN's on my Blaster. (Heal/Rech, Acc/Heal, Acc/End/Rech), Doctored Wounds (Heal/Rech) and Perf Shifter (Acc/Recharge) for ...

    73% Acc.
    78% Heal.
    Capped Recharge.

    And a nifty health bonus. I like the idea of the Doctored Wounds for the Recharge bonuses though!
  8. Thought I'd point out some things that will hopefully improve your build.

    1. The disorient proc in Stamina won't do anything.

    2. As others have said, I would slot up Twilight Grasp.

    3. I don't think you need that much melee defence, as you shouldn't be in melee too often with Archery/Dark, so I took out the Impeded Swiftness sets (as the other bonuses aren't great either) and gave you a little more ranged defence. 33% also means that you can effectively pop a purple for softcapped ranged defence.

    4. I think it would be good to slot some resists in your shield. Smashing/Lethal Res. is always useful.

    5. You don't need Boxing AND Kick, take Tough instead of one of them, even if you don't plan on using it.

    I think that's it. Your build should work well with good AoE and Ranged defence numbers. Here's the build with the changes I made.

    Mainly what Fury said, but I made a build that softcaps S/L defence and opted for Leadersip instead of Fighting for Vengeance etc. and some further team orientated buffs. I got more recharge in your build as well. You are definitely going to want Scream, it's great to just cycle with Shriek when taking down hard targets amidst throwing out buffs/debuffs.

    If you want to make it less expensive, you can replace the purples but I assumed you can afford them since you slotted them in your first build.

    What exactly do you plan to do Ghoul? Mainly SFs and mission teaming, with a hint of PvP? Or the other way round? I'm happy to help you with a build once I know exactly what you want to do with it.
  12. Personally, I would go SS+CJ, but either are fine. SS is easier for ghosting missions though IMO.

    General builds comments:

    1) Slot your shields for some decent resist, particularly if you're building for "team support".

    2) Thaw should be fine with one end redux.

    3) I added the Contagious Confusion proc to Confuse. It's fun, and the sixth gives you 5% ranged defence, which isn't going to hurt when PA is down. (Or if they drop mid-battle etc.)

    4) Heat Exhaustion needed some accuracy, Melt Armor needed more recharge

    5) Doctored Wounds' values are better than Regenerative Tissues', and I don't think the +Regen proc will be gamechanging.

    Overall, Ill/Therm is a very strong build, and you've got a lot of nice recharge in there. Have fun.

  13. Very generally, Fire will yield better damage with good amounts of control and debuffing. Ice will have more control options. Sleep, slow, -recharge, knockdown from Ice Patch to name a few.

    Personally, I would go Fire/Rad but both will play out very well. As always, it's probably best if you try them both up to the mid-20s at least I would say. (~SO Level)
  14. I do agree that EM is below average after the ET nerf, as in the end, except for the small number of skilled people that solo AVs/GMs, AoE will always be king so leaving Energy as it was always seemed fine to me.

    However, personally I don't think the devs would ever simply *reverse* a change/nerf that they implemented. Thus I think they should either up the damage slightly, or speed up the animation by ~1 second. I don't think a completely new animation change is likely, but with power customization and the SS/MA changes, you never know.
  15. I would suggest Elec as it is one of the best all round secondaries. Good heal, nice resists, damage aura and no end problems after 35.
  16. I don't think there are currently any updated Elec/Elec guides out there. However I can try to help you with a build if you can tell me what your general aims are. Survivability, recharge, farming, Strike Forces?
  17. Sounds fun Fulmens! And yeah, Blizzard is one of the most fun powers in the game for me. Concerning hitting 25 mobs, I'm pretty sure I killed more than 16 Romans when clearing the rooftops in the last mission of the ITF, though all that lag never helps.
  18. Yeah good point Kro sorry I missed that. You can simply take a Heal IO out of health and the slow IO out of Tar Patch and then move two ToHit debuffs into DN. Your point is totally valid and more -ToHit makes it even harder for mobs to hit you.

  20. 30% to all positions is a good number but I would still have to argue that capping S/L defence or even just shooting for a tad more ranged defence would serve you better since your powers in some cases are severely underslotted. All those Hami-Os (particularly the cytoskeletons) are going to cost an awful lot.

    If you really don't want to slot for S/L then I would go for softcapped ranged defence (45%) and try to avoid melee situations.

    Rain of Arrows is still severely underslotted. Seriously, it will be one of your most useful powers once you get it. And once again, I would take Tough instead of Kick and throw a Steadfast Res/Def proc in there.

    I hear the Unbreakable Constraint proc in Dominate is great fun (and damage!). I guess pairing it with the Apoc proc would yield stupid omgwhatjusthitthat times aswell
  22. This combo won't be the best of the best, but will be just fine and if you're already having fun with it, then that's what counts. I made a lot of changes to your build, but I think it will overall play much better

    1. Rain of Arrows needs minimum five slots. It is a very fun power with good recharge for the amount of damage it does. Try laying down a Tar Patch before you fire it to enhance its damage even further.

    2. I swapped Stunning Shot and Ranged Shot for Aim and Fistful of Arrows. FoA is a nice quick AoE which will be good for teaming and Aim is always great to use before RoA or when you really want Twilight Grasp to hit.

    3. Twilight Grasp was really underslotted. It's a really good heal with -ToHit (I think?) and even some -regen for when you're fighting AVs.

    4. Don't take Flurry on PvE. I swapped it out for Hasten as you can never go wrong with moar recharge on a Dark to get Tar Patch/Fearsome Stare back. (and even RoA! )

    5. I gave you Tough instead of Kick. S/L res never hurts and if you're cruising along (i.e not dying) then just switch it off to save endurance.

    6. Regarding your patron pool, I always like going Scorpion to softcap S/L def, which is made even easier with Dark's ToHit debuffs and Shadow Fall.

    7. Your power picks with Dark were good, but they were taken at some odd levels, so I moved Shadow Fall to L30 if you're alright with using temp travel powers while you're levelling.

    The build I made has S/L softcap, and 33% energy defence. Darkest Night can be taken earlier if you want to swap it with Super Speed, it really is very useful. It also has 45% recharge to help Rain of Arrows and your debuffs come back quicker.

  24. On my Cold/Sonic I get along just fine without Shout and don't miss it at all. Dark is a relatively active set so while you may miss it slightly solo on teams spamming howl and laying down debuffs will be taking up most of your time.

    I looked at your build, and it's slightly more expensive but I added a little more recharge and defence in total. (You can also take out the BotZ -KB to save inf if you like). If you want you can just swap the Apocs out for Decimation and along those lines, you could swap Ragnaroks in for Posi's in Howl.

  25. Is the Positron: Chance for Energy damage proc worth slotting in Blizzard? I will eventually have a set of Ragnaroks in (everything but the Dam.) so wondering whether the proc is worth it in the sixth slot.

    I'm assuming that it will have a chance to tick every 10 seconds on each enemy? Has anyone tried this in their Blizzard? Good/bad experiences? My Dark/Ice build is quite tight so I'll just end up leaving 5 slots in Blizzard unless anyone can disprove me or has any other cool suggestions As a point of reference I will be looking to use Blizzard quite often as the Blaster level damage it has is too much fun.
