Quote:I doubt it'll happen. On beta one time I tried to get Golden Girl to go redside for the greater good and she refused. It seems Paragon City is a place where villains selflessly put aside their own desires and goals for the greater good but the heroes are too selfish and bigoted to do the same. You should try creating a loyalist and play through the Praetorian responsibility content. It doesn't take that long to play through, and I think you'd find it more insightful than just reading about it on paragonwiki. I'll even join you to help it go even more smoothly. And, because I've never done a warden resistance member all the way through, I'll join with a one of those. Only fair that I play against type too.

The 3rd Treespec and MoLRSF went off without a hitch. In fact, when I checked my records, this was the first successful MoLRSF we've done on SFS so far, and all it took was the death of Statesman!

Next up on The List is the Lady Grey Strike Force, and we'll probably try for a master run of that as well. We've done one successful master run of this one before, but the Hamidon fight always makes it tricky. So if you want to help save the world for the greater good, because what villain doesn't love doing that, meet up in the Rikti War Zone next Sunday, June 24th at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT! -
I never considered Cole an ultimate threat. If he was so dangerous he would've been able to wipe out the resistance that was right under his nose. I imagine if he had won the war against primal earth that the rogue isles would have had a field day as the new resistance, and they would've put the old resistance to shame.

That's right, Reichsman thinks he's so cool with his soldiers, robots, undead, and wolves! Well, we've got all those things and then some! So if you have a Mastermind that's level 45+ and can get to Grandville sign up here to take part in the lagfest of an all MM Barracuda Strike Force!
Day: Saturday, June 23rd
Time: 3pm PDT/6pm EDT
Place: Grandville
To sign up post your Global name and Character name in this thread. -

Quote:It looks like the damaging powers in corruptor's secondaries that use psuedo-pets (like caltrops or sleet) do not have scourge built into them. This also goes for the PPP pets, they don't have scourge either. LinkI could not get Sleet to Scourge, though Boxing Scourged repeatedly.

Quote:The "run away" AI has gotten me killed more than anything else. It's very frustrating when I use a ton of inspirations/buffs in order to survive a tough fight and then the AV decides to run all over the map. By the time they stand still long enough for me to fight them again they've regenerated a good amount and my buffs have all worn off.I used my inspirations, but as soon as I got one of the EBs low on health they took to the sky.
Granted it's apparently a good tactic for the AV, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. And it seems especially silly when I chase an AV for 5 minutes straight and then they just stop, turn around, and 2-shot me like they just realized they shouldn't be afraid of me afterall. -
This is what gets me about the extra tray for those of us that use the keyboard. This:
Quote:Seems so much more complicated than this:Nova:
/bind e "powexec_toggleon bright nova$$bind 1 powexec_serverslot 1$$bind 2 powexec_serverslot 2$$bind 3 powexec_serverslot 3$$bind 4 powexec_serverslot 4"
Nova:
/bind e "powexec_toggleon bright nova$$goto_tray 1 3"
You put your nova powers on tray 3 and when you activate nova form your bottom tray swaps to tray 3, no need to rebind any keys all the time. And if you die and things get out of sync you can at least see that your bottom tray is still on your nova powers and it's easier to get back on track. -
So I came up with a Doom character, but it doesn't have doom in the name and it's kind of a stretch, but I'm happy with it.

Our Imperious Strike Force went pretty smoothly, with us beating up anything that got in our way. I'm sure we wiped a lot of bloodlines out of existence while on our rampage too. So if you suddenly don't exist anymore blame the Midnight Club.

Next up on the List is another double header. We're going to start off with the 3rd Treespec as a warmup and follow it with a Lord Recluse Strike Force, possibly a master run. So if you want to laugh as the Freedom Phalanx tries to hurt us without Statesman there meet up next Sunday, June 17th at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT! -
Along with this idea would be to add special tips for Cimerora and the Rikti War Zone, so you could do alignment stuff in those zones if you need a change of pace from the standard ones. This would be especially good for level 50 when you're stuck with the same tips and morality missions all the time.
-
So this is a pretty straightforward suggestion. Extend the current alignment system to cover incarnate "levels" also. The tips for these alignment missions would only drop from incarnate enemies and the missions would feature incarnate enemies like you see in the new Dark Astoria. The idea is to be able to work on your alignment and earn ixp at the same time, similar to how you can earn regular xp pre-50 while doing tips. This would be more of a QoL improvement really.

Traps has some of the best -res in the game if you have high recharge. Having multiple acid mortars out will stack. Also the poision gas trap has very good -regen. As someone else pointed out it has the force field generator as a team buff, and since it's a pet it won't suppress if you get mezzed. The set has no +dmg or +rech however so it only meets 2 of the things you're looking for.
-
I'll be there for friday and saturday, not sure about monday's doom thing though. Depends on if I get inspiration for a new alt between now and then.

Positron used his powers to help defeat the Praetorians, but at a terrible cost: Injuries he sustained at that time caused him to lose full control of his powers. Now, to protect others from himself, he remains imprisoned within his fez.
-
I used to have timebomb on my /traps corr, and I sometimes had fun with it but had to give it up in exchange for other things.
What I would do was set up a trail of trip mines leading from the mob to someplace around a corner where I would set up a field of trip mines. Then I would stealth to the middle of the mob and drop a timebomb. Once it goes off it pulls the mob and as they run over my trip mines they're all dead without me having to fire off any regular attacks. It was a very safe way to play but it took way too long. -
As sort of a side note, I find storms and cold domination to be good for hover blasting since snow storm will drop flyers that are harassing you.

Quote:Here's the build for my hoverblaster. It's arch/ment, so it won't fit for your blaster, but it may give you some ideas. It doesn't use any purples or pvp IOs, but it does make use of the blaster ATO set. I ended up skipping a lot of the skills in the secondary just to avoid redraw as much as possible (which is why subdue isn't slotted), redraw is just a pet peeve of mine though.Got another question for you guys: what's a good way to get ranged defense built up for a hoverblaster? I was messing around in Mids and only got to the mid-30s. I feel like I'm gonna have to sacrifice a lot just to get it, though. I'd even be happy with getting to 32.5%, but even that seems pretty tough to get to.
It's not that important to get him anywhere near the softcap at this point, but he's at the level that I'd like to get an idea of where he's going so I can start IOing out. Thanks!

Quote:This is what I went for on my Arch/Mental blaster. I just hit 50 and started working on my alpha incarnate slot the other day and I'm breezing through the Dark Astoria incarnate missions with very little effort. I think when I soloed Blue Steel he didn't even land a single hit on me because I was hovering out of reach and he only has one ranged attack. I'm not even done getting all the IOs I planned out, I'm at about 38% ranged defense instead of the 45% I'll eventually have.Personally I work with Mids first before I actually start a toon. I usually go for Range Cap Hover blaster style as I find it the most effective. If I cannot reach that goal then I try for Smash and Lethal Defense cap as I did with my DP Dark Blaster.
I consider myself a blaster noob, but I got some build help from the people in this forum as well as from a friend of mine that has quite a few very good blasters. If you post a mids build along with a description of how you want to play I'm sure people here could at least give you some ideas you hadn't thought of yet. -
Quote:I can't speak for everyone but I would be more than happy with that tradeoff. As it is now I never use nukes on my non-weapon corruptors because unlike blasters I usually have a team that needs my buffs or debuffs. They have left it with a longer than usual recharge though.
Also, Synapse just made some changes to water blast, the range of the hard-hitter was reduced to 40ft. -
That would be nice. Currently I think archery is the only set where the "hard-hitter" has the full 80ft range. I'll have to check later to see if that's accurate. Also having a non-weapon set with a crashless nuke helps make the case for removing crashes from the other nukes.
-
I'll be there to help out on whatever is needed, though I only have hybrid unlocked on one character right now.
Also, a few myths were put to rest by one of the devs today, it's a good post to read for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Link
