    MA/regen build

Just a side note: Could you possibly include the long forum export? Some of us without Mids (*cough* Mac User *cough*) or who will be at work when they see this, would greatly benefit from it..

...which will of course, hopefully, benefit you

Edit: Also, welcome to the forums
  2. As things stand, I don't see the logic in letting, for example's sake, a Lvl 50 Empath who has all the Healing badges, being permitted to log onto their Brute and have the badges, signifying that it has also done that amount of healing.

Most people "badge" for those stupid, grindy time-sink badges (myself included) on one character...making them account wide may only please a few people who do those abhorrent chores on more than one toon, and probably not work the dev's time.
  3. There isn't one. Craft them into enhancements and use the Enhancement Storage item

    All hail Global

Certain Global channels are all that's keeping me in the game, so...

Thank [insert deity here] for Global!

    Which Combo??

I play an ice/ice. She is a monster. I am very much looking forward to her massive buff

You may find the dmg/endurance ratio a little settled once you hit lvl 22 (Stamina and SOs), but it's a steep curve nontheless, which is made all the more satisfying towards the end
  6. I'd be up for that, for sure

Thanks for the fun in the EU forums! It was good while it lasted and now some of you will get what you wished for... hope it doesn't turn into a bitter little pill.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I'd like to second this
  8. Got Striga coming up soon. Presuming there's enough, could always split into a group per set of arcs...

...I say that because I know you'd need a herd of bolting horses tied to Cynic's manspuds to have any chance of stopping him going to Striga!
  9. The EU were sure nice to the last Redname who did exactly that, werent they?

I think the way this will work is

The couples who play COH together will probably /sign this

Those who are single or who's partners don't play this will /unsign this as it doesn't appeal to them

    [/ QUOTE ]

Don't let your relationship skew the other actual gameplay aspects of this idea. That's a bit of a rash judgement.

I'm in a relationship, but my other half doesn't want to touch this game with a barge pole. She would /unsign this, sure

I would unsign this as, I think that having a badge + XP buff for marriage will be used to gain a buff simply because it's there, and you'll end up with broadcasts in lvl 30+ zones shouting: "Level 30 Something looking for Marriage plz".

The XP buff will be whored, the badge will upset badgers (example: My Main villain simply won't marry...why would he? He doesn't see the worth in human life anyway). It's just a huge can of worms.

What about civil partnerships? There's a whole legal minefield there

If you want to be married, file that under "roleplay", like everyone else does. It should not affect game mechanics.
  11. /em propose = ability to marry, no? Doesn't need ingame mechanical backing when the RPers already have an emote for it? (well, 4)
  12. Long time no see, Blue

in terms of primary, pick something with some nice spike damage, because a good deal of the /Pain powers grant you +dam buffs (the rez, for example). Oddly, the whole set, when teaming, is surprisingly offensively angled.

I wouldn't bother when solo. It's worse then /thermal to solo, as Heyman said, so few of the powers are useful without [Target Ally].

The two auras are nice (Prefer the MM one myself..+regen being nicer than a periodic tick heal), and taking the leadership pool would be recommended.

Mine's only level 12, so am going mainly on the 3 or 4 kicking around when doing MoRSF runs. Painbringer is the nads. That's all you need to know in terms of nice surprises :P.

Disappointments? no RA. Painbringer is the only +endurance recovery technique.

Roll with it, /Pain's a great set, if you ask me. So long as you can wash away any expectations from Empathy or Thermal

a new player that PLed, but she still knows what she is doing?

Those two things are a bit mutually exclusive, frankly
  14. If i've learned one thing tonight, is that people watching Mamma Mia in the same room as you, *Will* steal your attention from getting into the flow of things. Sorry!

Anyway, great fun as always, and see y'all next week

  16. Gratz on the year up, Sitriel

    Wünche ihnen ein schöner Tag!
  17. The Conference of Evil- Viridian

It's just unmatched in terms of gameplay
  18. Great Synapse run, 3:03.

Painless, plenty of banter, and drafted in a friend of mine who even joined in with our odd Semi-RP lark. A right giggle

Thanks to those who came, and see y'all on Monday

(PS. Gawd I love those /Sonic Hula Hoops)

    Hi everyone

I'm afraid the first glimpse of that Anime I've ever seen I caught the other night while surfing through the Hotel Room TV for something to watch to kill a bit of time. But i'm indeed familiar with the concept.

Sounds to me like you wish to play the archetype pretty practically, but *conceptually* explain your characters origins/style as one of a ninjitsu/kidou/reitsu (whatever you want to call it). That i applaud, concepts are what make me so attached to my characters

    Hi everyone

    Hey there Makazi

The only channel I'd recommend is:

    Defiant Events

A large public channel used for advertising Strike Forces/Badge Hunts and the like. There are quite a few private channels floating about, but that will come into its own once you've met a few people

Dominators happen to be my favourite archetype. What 'ninja' aspect are you hoping to achieve from it, may I ask? Stalkers really do fit the 'ninja' heading best, with their inherent [Hide] power being better than *any* other form of stealth power available to other ATs, and their spike damage from hide itself.

Dominators do not really benefit from being hidden, in the grand scheme of things- *but*, it's your character, so just have a blast with whatever you enjoy Personally, locking down everything in plain sight just happens to push all the right buttons for me

If you 'ere need anything while on defiant, chuck me a message on @Xemulas, happy to help w/any guidance and the like
  21. That's a shame Herc

Right, for those despairing at dwindling numbers, I'll wait from 20:00 to 20:30 for any to turn up for a Synapse run (small numbers tend to make it go somewhat faster)

I might be stepping on some organizers toes however, if someone's expressed interest in running Synapse prior to this message...
  22. I highly recommend The Evil Echelon, contact @Mr Shock, @Lion., or @Angel's Death for more information. Team with them every now and then, fantastic bunch of people, and really great bunch to be chucked into. Large community unto itself.

I'm sure you could also poke Shockwave/Londoner about MU, the large bastion of PvP veterans who show themselves about on defiant.

Aside from those two titans, there are plenty of little SGs about, if you come across any nice players and fancy joining them I'd put my personal playerbase, The Harlequins, into that category, but it depends heavily on what you want from defiant
  23. Aloha! Hope monday's apparently diminished number went alright

I'll be about 20:00 thursday for *something*. If we don't get the full eight, then perhaps a (relatively) speedy synapse?
  24. Just unpacked from a lovely birthday break to the sun-soaked continent, and returning to miserable Bristol has been greatly brightened by these messages. Thanks guys

Here's a sneak peek of what you were all missing
