0 Star really needs to go. It feels like a glitch in the way you have to activate it and it has the ability to tank a valid arc faster than it can be properly be raised back up.

I have had people complain about dialog a few times. But it is mostly dialect, ie the use of "ain't", "gonna", "fixin' to", and "ya'll". I guess because I don't use "yous guys" they don't like it.
People don't normally speak grammatically correct. Which to me give more life to a character.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe that's "y'all".
[/ QUOTE ]
It is. Stands for "you all" which is actually grammatically incorrect in itself but I love the South so I'm not complaining. -

Hook the ambush to an auto-complete captive (set single, no guards.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Wouldn't the captive have to be right at the door for this to work?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but I noticed that some captives (well, it happened with a custom I was testing) on some maps can actually somewhat detect the player through walls. -
With the imperfections of the MA, I say that a 2 Strike rule is almost a requirement. The video review will really help the creator AND people watching. For instance, your difficulty in finding the glowy clues me in that future authors should try to give a heads up that the glowy "might be hidden in a file cabinet", "is probably in a box" or some other similar thing to help the player. You did a regular review of my arc but I got a review before yours that helped me make the final mission more engaging and thus you probably enjoyed it more than if you played the older version. These video reviews are very valid ways of helping people improve the arc experience. This one review is just a hiccup. Mandu might want to mention the file cabinet in editting his arc while you might possibly want to attempt it again but only do recorded videos for the later missions and just add a text disclaimer to the first video that you found the objective but it was rather small. It's up to you obviously.

I welcome it as long as the person correcting my grammar isn't being nasty about the grammatical errors. That said, one enemy name is misspelled on purpose but no one has said anything about it.
-
On really small maps the boss will sometimes be right at the door. One example is the Lucky Six Casino unique map which is why I made a point of not having a boss there.

It's just... You're so -new- to the forums. And you've made a suggestion that's been made many times and even shot down by one of the Devs, once. So in the next hour or so at least 3 people are going to tell you to use the Search button and explain why your suggestion can't be put in the game.
And I don't want you to feel bad -especially- 'cause you're new here, and new people on the forum is awesome to have.

See, this is why (with the exception of MA stuff and one hair option) I've been struggling my hardest not to make a single suggestion. Funny to think that vehicles is one of the things on the list. -

Alright the first video, for Mandu's "The Dev's Must Die" is up
You can view it in one of 2 places:

or

Take your pick and enjoy!

I'm new to the game but the Cargo Ship actually looked cool to me. That said, while I didn't see the glowy while you were playing, I could hear it when you were mid-ship. I feel there's a chance might have spawned inside something since some maps have been pulled from MA due to that. If it weren't for the Defeat All (which should never be a required objective in an MA...) I'd say attempt it again. In fact, I may ty it out of curiousity later tonight. -
This would be very useful. At best, we just get to see the layouts but these don't tell us where things like stairs are.

While we're talking ambushes, it'd be nice if you could make defeating a particular ambush a victory condition.
You know the scenario... you defeat the boss, then click on the final glowie, and hear ambushers saying "No, don't let her escape with the MacGuffin! Kill her, now!" And you just sit there and click on the "Mission Completed" Exit button, neatly avoiding the ambush.
I suspect that's a difficult if not impossible thing to change, though, as it happens a lot in Dev missions too.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be nice. I don't know the game's underlying code but in theory it should be doable if the player made the trigger a required objective. -
Glad to know you got full.
What level are you now? -
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
-
Currently you can have an ambush spawn at Front, Middle, or Back. What is really needed is the ability to spawn an ambush at the trigger itself. Actually, a number of objectives like collectibles need this so that you can do things like "the villain has dropped the magical gem" and such.

They are permanent Clues. Think of them sort of as user created Badges for completing an arc.

Only the boss has dialog and usually doesn't have any animation.

Personally, I've had difficulties in getting some animations to work when set to the boss though I set them anyways. -

You know sometimes to be "cute and fancy" some people spell the word 'demon' as 'daemon'. Perhaps they could just quietly rename the new character 'Desdaemona' before the whole thing becomes too much more official.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's actually a novel idea. Since Desdemona is a real "normal" name it can't be trademarked. A simple respelling might allow this which would be good for CoX though I doubt anyone would be so blatant as to directly copy the character.
Or they could just officially give her a last name in order to differentiate the two. -
A bowling alley and a concert hall. There's a number of fictional business in this game that you see "advertised" that don't have appropriate maps to them. You notice things when you don't have a travel power yet...
-
If you have time, I'd like you to try Rider's Ribs Restaurant Rescue #163967. I changed some things from when I originally published it so that it flows a little better. The first mission is much smaller than I'd like but I lack a better map since it is the only one I could find with a restaurant in it at all.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Ack. Either someone didn't check the list of names, or didn't notice the skin tone.
Bad Form!
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably the former though it's disappointing they didn't double check that first. Then again since Desdemona can be an actual name, it's a mildly understandable mistake. -
Well, if all the missions have made Vendigroth hungry, perhaps Rider's Ribs Restaurant Rescue (Arc# 163967) could be of interest.
BTW, I had to be creative since I could only find one map with any form of restaurant (the Lucky Six Casino map, the tables are in the back of the establishment). -
The first two sound like concepts for a growth/shrink power while the other two truly sound like rides. Sounds interesting though.
-
All this said, maps that you don't have unlocked are orange.

Yep. I have some in my Arc. They seem to work just fine. I haven't seen any glitchy bahavior from them at any rate.
[/ QUOTE ]
Out of curiousity, which flight power are you using (the normal one or the forcefield) and what regular powers do they have? Also, indoor or outdoor? -
I would assume that it is because of the possible enemies surrounding rescues and the memory constraints of adding an ally.
It's still annoying though... -

i would not EVER buy in game items with real money, i have seen many other games do this, but that is also because they are free to play. if CoX went and did that and STILL made us pay per month, i would stop playing.
[/ QUOTE ]
IF they were to implement a cash based speed leveling solution, I'm pretty sure it would be an optional addition to the game, not a requirement.
