Quote:For the above to be true requires a very, very wide and loose definition, imho. It's so expansive that it really lacks much meaning. Obviously, ymmv. And BTW, Until they make AE missions playable 1 time per toon (for teams that counts only for the leader of the team) AE is a farm system. Since all you do in ANY mission AE or regular contact is go in and kill (maybe click on something or escort) and exit..... Any mission is farmable. But AE makes it easier b/c you don't have to exit and risk losing the mission.
For most other uses of the term farm, there are missions which do not qualify. When the term is expanded to cover all content it really loses the ability to make a meaningful distinction and convey information.
But, inarguably, the rule of language is, "the more vague, the more true". Therefore, "**** happens," is chock full of veracity; however, it lacks any meaningful content.
To call all missions farms is to render the term farm' all but meaningless.
All imho. YMMV -
The times when I have found niches it was from trying to market what I thought was a good drop. Get there and it's not selling for anything. Check the crafted version and voila -- profit opportunity.
Playing w/ Mids' is a way to find out what 'should' be a good recipes. -

It used to be 20. Did it get changed recently?

The idea of everyone being able to go and see my accomplishments is nice.

Kind of a pain for having coalies over or running the VG SFs

The attempts to limit the participants of in the discussion are a little distracting and off putting.

Quote:The impression I have is that marketing is MUCH more profitable than farming.Marketing is more fun for some folks, vs. farming. It comes down to personal preference. Done right, each can be equally profitable.
However, I have no real data to back that up. But billions can be made in a a couple few hours spread out over the course of a week marketing [while you're off playing and/or farming]. Whereas with farming you're limited to a max of about 20-30 mil and hour iirc [not counting w/e rare drops]. -
I was gonna say we did one last night with w/e toons we could find. It wasn't the easiest one I have ever done; but, we finished in just over an hour.
IIRC, we had a MM, three corrs, a dom, a VEAT, and a couple of brutes. We were just the first 7 people who said, "Yeah, I'll do a LRSF". [The eighth was the one who asked who wanted in a LRSF]
So, it doesn't require shivans and nukes. I'm sure they don't hurt though. I've never been on one where everyone had them, but I have heard about them. -
There are already a number of pets available:
Shivans, Heavies, zombies, imps, etc -

Quote:I was a mod @ a political debate forum for a few years. And this wouldn't be the first time someone has made extra accounts and pretended to be a different person.
If I read a thread like this I would have started investigating. Certainly smells like a duck.
I have been wrong before in my life. However... -
Quote:To be fair it's not "Just because [you] seem to be the only defender".Just because I seem to be the only defender you ASSUME it's a multiple account.
There's also the similarity in writing style and the facts that you joined just today and that you have only posted in this thread. -
Quote:It may or may not be helpful to note that GMs are the folks who handle issues that arise while you're playing. Devs work on things that are then changed when the server maintenance occurs or when patches are released.I've never been able to get one online to fix a mish, you expect me to believe they come here to read these?
So, It's rather unsurprising that Devs have not come to help you since that is a GM's job. It's also unsurprising that a GM hasn't fixed a mish for you as that is a Dev's job.
I hope that helps. -
One day I'll break down and make a blue-sider and then be able to get in on the Hami raids.
I have always wanted to do one. But alas I have only red-siders.

Creatively difficult missions would be great fun. Arbitrary nerfs to toons in a SF are boring.

Without a link to whatever Jay actually and exactly said, I would hold off on criticizing and extrapolating.

There's no way anyone else can top any of these. So I'm gonna call it good.
Thank you for all of your help. -
I have run out of rep to give away for the day.
Here are some of my other favorites--mostly from Shakespeare--that I don't know quite how to make lore specific. If anyone has any ideas...
Crouch down in fear, and yield, $target.
Eat my leek, $target!
Grovel on thy face, $target!
$target, methink'st thou art a general offence and every man should beat thee.
$target's a most notable coward, an infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise breaker, the owner of no one good quality.
$target's a shallow, beggarly, filthy knave; a lily-livered, glass-gazing, heir to a mongrel *****: one whom I'll beat into clamorous whining if $target deni'st the least syllable.
Drunkenness is $target's best virtue, for swine drunk and asleep $target does little harm, save to the bedclothes.
