  1. Great pic, really... BUTTTT;

Listening to: Jonas Brothers - SOS.

  2. I -assumed- before looking on Mids it was the same as World of Confusion, but I checked on Mids and apparently it's a PBAoE click power?

Can anyone with experience with this power please explain how it works, and give any slotting advice please

I would lay very good odds that you get your other wish in issue 13 too.

Same, they'll most likely add BS to Tankers and Brutes to match thematically with the new Shield set
  5. [ QUOTE ]
Nope, they don't stack. If you summon a new lot the first lot will be dismissed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks, out comes that 3rd rech IO
  6. Yo, quick question;

On my Crabs current Mids build, I've got the Spiderling rech down to 202 secs. Their duration is 240 secs, was wondering; would they stack for the 38 seconds, giving 6 of them (2 lots of 3?) If not I can take out one of the Rech IOs.

    Ty in advance

    energy should be yellow

    [/ QUOTE ]
To name the two most obvious "energy blasters", neither Silver Surfer nor Iron Man's energy blasts are yellow, and energy isn't yellow, so why did you pick yellow in particular?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because the energy in Dragon Ball Z is yellow, ergo all energy must be yellow. I think is what he was getting at.

    lol @ Dragon Ball Z

    Farming Tank?

    [ QUOTE ]
Hey, i'm currently interested in making a pve tank mainly for farming and general pve (tf's, Av's etc). I have been using a fire/kin to farm for quite some while and it's getting a little too boring for me now, as i've been playing villains abit lately i have seen a few farming brutes on there and it has made me want a tank capable of farming.

Just wondered if anyone could recommend some nice sets to do this with..

I wish there will be Thermal Defenders in new issue. I like thermal set but controllers end can't handle that, even without using your primary powers.

[/ QUOTE ]Since when is thermal an end-heavy set?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Since i used to team up with newbie and suicidial blasters

But as you said this i think problem is slotting, no end rdx just recharge and heal a bit heavy for my ever healing controller.

Anyway that doesn't change the fact i want Thermal Defenders. Also a Rad/Fire defender will make me return defending roots too. Hmm maybe a FF/Fire one so i can show how deadly can Rain of Fire be without risking my own skin.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Mmmmm.... Rad/Fire WITH Power Boost *drools*
  13. ^wow lol, just realised how many :P's are in that post, sorry ^^ :P
  14. Well Storm/NRG Defender was my first toon and first 50, and to be honest... prepare for lots of fun :P

But being the KB King, teams did tend to get annoyed with me, unless ofc there was controller(s) spamming AoE grounding moves. I teamed with 2 stone troller friends of mine ususally, and to be honest, it was self PL :P

Yeah, you might get a little hated :P But just adds to the already great fun of Storm/NRG :P

In conclusion, get some mates to roll Doms :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup, probably for the people who got Poseidons powers from the well Looking at States+LR's powers, I think if Incarnate is put into an AT, it's going to be -very- hard to unlock, coz godly power don't come easy ya know ;]
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Willpower/Stone = Mighty Hand of the God.

As i am leveling one these days and my other WP tanker is sitting on lvl 28 i think i can say somethings about them.

First thing you must keep in mind is Stone is very endurance heavy attack set. So you will feel like crippling 'till level 12. After that level you'll start to feel awesome.

In my opinion Willpower hasn't got any true defense other than fast healing, so your survival depends on two things: Mobs around you and your attacks. Over all i think WP is more solo build than a team build. Willpower's biggest problem is debuffs, especially -regen and slow powers so mobs like Vazhiloks or Outcast Coolers will be a real problem for you, also some herding will be nice even if you solo since your regen rate is higher when the mobs are in arms reach of you. You can stand in countless mobs of other villians.

My best advice will be getting your primary powers asap 'till you get Heightened senses. After that you can focus on attacks. I slotted my attacks with end rdx. enchanments instead of acc's 'till level 12, even with it i still needed many blues during solo or lesser extend in teams.

Please keep in mind i am not a regular tanker player and only tankers i enjoyed so far are Willpower ones because of their Scrapper like behavior, you can run around with your toggles on everytime without endurance problems only thing you worry will be which attack will recharge next.

Have fun with your hero. I am really enjoying mine.

    Cheers,
    Knightly

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks Knightly, along with Valkryst's input am gonna attempt a build again. I'll post back when it's done for further advice

and theres far more important matters than becoming City of Trannies.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You see those hundreds of scantily clad amazons running around Paragon? 99% of them are played by guys. By that standard and yours, you're ALREADY play City of Trannies.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, but these scantily clad amazons don't suddenly shift into the cast of 300 :P

    [ QUOTE ]
Besides, whilst what you say MIGHT happen, it's very likely to be rare, and people mucking about. Why limit choices though?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If it's gonna be rarely used, why put it in? The devs could use the time incorporating sex change doing more useful stuff that will get used more regularly and appealing to a wider audience
  19. I'm totally against this, as it would utterly anhialate the small bit of class CoX' costume system has.

Imagine a new player, enjoying his first few days on game, he stands under Atlas and gets talkin to someone with a costume of a skinny, white, blonde cheerleader. Next thing you know... BAM.- Where once the skinny, white, blonde cheerleader stood, now stands a big, beefy, black boxer. What the hell...

I admit it'd be hilarious to see, but really, it'd be a pointless, stupid addition to the game, and theres far more important matters than becoming City of Trannies.

I still see some new posts in there every day, so they're not that empty.

Tbh I'm probably the last person to give advice about tankers, but I think I'd probably approach a scranker build with closer to a scrapper (or scrapping stalker) mindset than a brute one - more of a focus on heavy-hitters than fast attacks (which brutes need to build Fury) - and stone melee suits that - it's not a set you pick if you want a buzzsaw build My reasoning is that with the tanker melee damage modifier being so low, and with no damage added by the inherent (like brutes/scrappers/stalkers get), big attacks will give the best return and you can probably skip slotting up small attacks like Stone Fists and Boxing (waste of end and not worth enhancing) and not worry about having a gap-less attack chain early on.

You probably won't need to worry about taking stuff like Air Sup for mitigation like my brutes/scrappers do either, because you'll be much tougher than them. If you take Stamina as well as QR you shouldn't have end issues either, so slot for capping damage and recharge (90%+) on every attack you do take, plus as much accuracy as you need to hit what you normally fight (I usually plan for 60%+ Acc), but don't worry about secondary effects or too much about endrdx. Hasten would be handy too, to bring those big attacks around faster.

Tough is possibly optional on a scranker and from my scrapper experiences with Willpower you shouldn't ever need Aid Self unless you want to PvP (probably not advisable as a scranker). Slotting IO damage procs could be handy (could even make the small attacks worthwhile if you can spare slots) to supplement your low damage output. Oh and take everything from Willpower, except possibly the self-rez (took it on my scrapper and have never needed it). And Hurl Boulder might be worth taking from Stone Melee now that it has had a sizeable reduction in animation time.

Basically you'll be trying to rip chunks out of enemies while you weather what they throw at you (which Willpower is good at - on a scrapper anyway). Of course I could be wrong, but that's how I'd approach a scranker from my perspective as a brute/scrapper/stalker player.

You'd probably have more luck asking here.

Though of course they might just "stone" you to death for not taking Taunt

EDIT - I'd have given you some advice, but as my advice would have started with the line "personally I'd make a Stone/WP Brute instead" it probably wouldn't have been what you're looking for

Ummm... sorry for not posting on an empty board and getting no help with my problem? :S

I'd rather they add a Movement Slow Res to Hasten. Obviously not a huge amount, but say something akin to Quickness and definitely movement only, mind.

    ^A good idea
