I think what you are getting it is: why is it worth slotting CJ and Hurdle if unslotted SJ does more horizontal, and Vertical?

The answer is its not supressed, and its still extremely fast. CJ offers you immobilization protection as well. With SJ, you not only get supressed, but one application of immobilization (if your a squishy), can get you tied up. Even if its for only a couple seconds..thats enough for a juiced up blapper to come and deystroy you.

But why take all that time to set it all up to fight?? when I can simply hop on a roof with 10 other people...battle three of them and be full of FC...then I can easily go and do the 5 or 6 other things there are to do in Siren's and not have to "waste" another 10 minutes to and from to the Arena to Siren's...

I don't want that much structure in my PvP Experience...I don't want to decide for 10 minutes what kind of match I want, list it, wait another 5-10 minutes for people to join the match...when all I have to do is go to a zone to pvp in a place WHERE I KNOW THERE WILL BE PEOPLE TO PVP WITH!!! There is nothing wront with feeling that way MB. there are pro's and cons on both sides of the coin. Keeping it in FC is fine, but people have to keep cool, and keep in mind that it is an Open zone and FC goers have no base to complain if they are interupted. Petitioning people for bounty hunting, and calling them out is just as bad as the aggravators repelling people off of rooftops.

While i dont condone these type of actions, i do not let myself get stirred from them.

I just wish FC wasn't so disruptive toward the PvP envirnment in SC. Bounty is no longer fun, when someone lets you kill them, or is protected by people shouting in broacast. Warburg is much better for FC, but unfortunetely is a higher level than SC, and gives melee types devestating lvl 38 powers in a no inspiration, toe to toe slug out. Advantage being, that anyone can police the sorrounding envirnment becuase heroes and villains can fight each other.

Here's where i was going with the arena idea dinah.

If you set up a Free for all and set it to 20 kills...the arena match will not end untill one person gets 20 kills.

If you have 20 people in the event for arguements sake...you can rotate the battles any which way, and thats a LOT of PvP battles to be had. This would work as long as nobody is killing each other on the side of course.

20 FC battles is a lot for one person, even in SC. yes, it will take more time to set up Dinah, but the reward of some solid PvP with individuals who are their in the spirit of FC would be worth it imho.

Heck, maybe i can set something up next week on Monday or Tuesday, and try to get you all to give it a shot. If everyone likes it, maybe it will catch on. If it fails, then at least it was given a chance.

Dinah, you didnt call him out, but others did. Hence the OP, and the other thread. My post wasnt directed toward you personally, just the topic in general.

As far as what you and MB said about it being a hassle, we can agree to disagree, but i think your thoughts on it being a hassle boils down to and unwillingness to compromise with people who dont wish to play by made up rules in a PvP zone. Taking the tram to an arena takes 2-5 mins...come on, most people bio break longer than that.

Btw, my scrapper would love to do FC in this regard..but he often cannot because he only has superspeed, and i cant get up the building without TP.

Thats the jist of what im saying. People can whine and cry all they want about these type of players, but they arent trying to do anything about it, other than cry, and petition

What are you talking about with this 30 seconds stuff. you can customize it a lot better than that. There is plenty of room to do more than one battle at a time. People aren't going to go out of their way to grief a fight club event in the arena...if that is a problem, there is an invite only option.

People dont have to communicate in Broadcast in Sirens. there is an arena tab that anyone can see in both games, or any other zones.

request that they ask for an invite for FC, in which the person setting it up, can leave out the known griefers.

Fight Club was not much more than an Idea that was sparked here on the Forums. Theres not much more to understand about a bunch of heroes and villains standing around picking their noses while 1 battle is going on without insps or repel powes, all while people are getting shunned because their bounty is "off limits". Sorry, but before i knew what FC was, i got scremed at when on a villain chasing down one of my bounty. If anyone that was being harrassed, it was me, or anyone else who didnt know what the heck was going on up there. I did a little chatting with people, understood what they were doing, and in good consious left them alone. But its not right to expect everyone else to feel that way.

I understand why you have a problem with him. I'm not saying that his behavior is exemplory. Im more concerned with people calling in petitions because he wants PvP rep and isnt willing to conform to the people who enjoy FC. I also understand the frustration it causes people who do enjoy SC. I like FC....sometimes, but would much have it removed from Sirens Call because i feel it degrades the quality of the bounty system, and its getting rediculous that people are flaming some dude in a public forum because they are too lazy to move it to a safe, organized area, such as the Arena.

Its been said before a hundred times, as we are once again beating a dead horse. Will somebody Please actually TRY doing it in the arena, before saying how bad it is?

Honestly, its no more of a hassle to go to a PvP zone, and jump up onto a building. Setting it up takes seconds. Its much more controlled, and you can get 64 players in there at one time.

It is by far the simplest fix for what is bothering the FCers so much, but nobody is willing to go out of their way to ensure it. Instead, everyone else is just supposed to conform to what the FCers want.

I see two options:

I just love the way HVND can make sure they plug arena every change they get . Arena is so suck tastic I cannot begin to tell you. THe zones are rediculous. who the hell wants to fight In an office building. I did an arena match last night and it was just crappy. It took me forever to figure out how to even work the arena thing. And then To add to it, The lvls don't match up. IN the zones, every one is the same lvl. It means my troller can have fun with Dinah's tank and Scribe's blaster. All on one team. We can't do that in arena. The lvls are too far apart. What we need is an instanced version of the pvp zone with all it's rules and mentoring/exemplaring within the arena, that you can pick if you choose to do so. This gives us fight club, and leave's regular siren's for ath and all those who want mayhem ( me included on occasion) or we can just hold fight club close to the villains base. kill all the npcs and have it there. I dare say CK will get tp'd into drones so often he won't mess with FC any more. Just have two or three tper's on stand by ready to drop him into the drones. bam Fc born again.

Great way to start off a post, singling out the SG i play in as if it has any relevance to this thread...Hats off to you.

First of all, in large arena matches..you generally get the bigger maps...there is a City map that has some very cool buildings. You can't say "who wants to fight in an office map" when all your doing is a fighting on a 20x15 foot square. Puhlease. Don't try and tell me that the lanscape is that important for you to have fun with your friends.

You can set the level however you want. you can set the limit at 30.. The auto exemp feature may not say you are a lvl 30 (if you are a 28) but the enemy still cons orange. If you are a bunch of high level toons, you can basically auto exemp yourselves to whatever lvl. You can say thats not fair for lowbies, but it isnt any less fair than a lvl 50 with Hami enhancements fighting against a level 22 hero with a handfull of SO's in SC

Not saying i like your approach sometimes because when you are on your stormy, your not collecting anything, your just knocking people off a building. Ive seen you do it. However, it is your right, and you'll never get a petition from me about it. I agree with your feelings in a way about SC, even though im guilty of participating in it. It is a cancer to Sirens Call. It degrades the quality of an open zone pvp format.

While id prefer to leave the zone if its just FC all the time, and not much else, you prefer to aggrivate people. Why not get a group of heroes, and villains and storm the FC building, sending everyone to the hospital. That would be more incentive to do it the way it was designed, and you'd get your rep too. In not many instances is a defeat less aggravating than getting knocked off a building. In this case, it is.

I was the one who switched because it was too hard playing with stalkers who are invised and nobody buffing me. We did have one Dominator, he switched as well. I think we had 5 total when i was on life, but then i logged to get my stalker, and when i came back we were back to 4 including me. I didnt mean to call you a lier, im just letting you know who's who. I guess everyone got caught up in it too much last night. It was fun though in the end, and im glad you come to WB. As you saw when i was on Evil Inc, i tried to calm things a bit, and get a good match goin.

Actually, your quite wrong Q-Leon. As i was there. Yes Villains were beating the heroes quite badly. But there was no flaming back and forth, no trash talk coming from our group. Until of course there were two people Tping Villains to the drone on-top of the hospital, neither of which were you.

That lasted a bit, and things quieted down again, and 3/4 of the people we were with went off to bed. Then afterward, the 4 four remaining stalkers (us) were fighting against 2 emps, 2 /energy blasters, and Invuln Tank, and another Blaster. We didnt care that you guys were killing us badly. It was 6-8 on 4, which isnt too bad all in all.

Then that one person on your team started spewing that if we had skill we'd be able to beat them with those odds. But anyone who knows how stalkers work, knows that we had no chance. The +perception from Cm and IR Goggles made our stealth meaningless. Invis, and buffs given to your blasters was too much for 4 stalkers to handle. No big deal, you guys had better depth (notice i didnt say foTM which you said that we accused you of). We accepted defeat just fine thank you very much, and challenged you in Warburg or arena so we could set up a fight that would be more challenging to your team, and give us a better shot. Unfortunetly for you, only half your team showed up and it wasnt much of a fair fight, this time in our favor. A shame really your two emps didnt come, would have made it a lot more fun.

It was fun in WB, and im happy you enjoyed it, but just for the record, it wasnt because of our FOTM builds that beat you in WB, it was that we had the depth we lacked in Sirens. 4 stalkers with no buffs arent very good. Our corruptors from Energies and myself are Rad, which dont fair well in an open Team vs Team envirnment where ppl can easily escape debuffs, hence why he didnt bring his. I tried mine out at first before getting my stalker, and everytime id lock on to one person, id get one or two shotted from an invisible blaster Teamate. So, i just moved on, got my stalker, and your team got organized, and beat us fair and square.

But this isnt the issue AF is talking about.. He is referring to the jack tards tping people consecutively into drones. It happened to my corruptor 5 times in a row upon entering the area where people were fighting. kind of Lame if you ask me. I tped one person out of the safe zone, which wasnt really cool on my part, and he made it a point to let know. I owned up to it, said im sorry, and it was cool.

ahh, i really thought there were the same. Thanks for clearing that up, and saving me the time of killing 100 of them

Now, Isolator. I have made the suggestion a few times to somehow work another chance at Isolator into an event or something. As you have seen, it has not been a successful suggestion so far. It may never be.

As far as I know - the devs have no plans for including an alternate method to get isolator if you did not get it in outbreak.

I havent tested this but....Is it possible to get Isolator on Villains. Kalinda has an eliminated the infected mission or something of that nature. If i ran that a couple of times, would i get the badge? If so, wouldnt that be a way of getting the badge if we get to eventually cross our heroes over to villains and vice versa?

I was that someone that sent the PM to Statesman. If I still had his reply, I'd post it here. He said it wasn't a bug, but a "feature." Either way. For those who don't know, Dull Pain prevents you from being knocked out of hide easily, during its time of activation. So, it's like click mez protection, but instead, knock-out-of-hide protection.

Note: You CANNOT use Assassin's Strike, however, if you're getting hit. It still gets interrupted. So, it's only use is landing that critical or not having your Placate screwed up.

wow that makes a lot of sense then actually. I do notice that can sometimes get my crits off when taking dmg at the same time im placating and using an attack.

i have a couple of lowbie blasters around your lvl and a lvl 50. Ill see if i can duplicate your test using 4 lucks so i dont likely get hit. Ill use a bunch of different enemy types as well.

hey, Good fun last night Quason.

I play hockey. I do watch it from time to time, but i can only handle so much TV. As far a surfing; there is a little bit of that going on, however the waters are a lot more calm than what you are probably used to. A good storm that just passes by is a good thing around here if surfing is your fun.

I am a 24 year old guy from Long Island NY. I work in sales and marketing for a display company, and bartend 2 nights a week for extra money. I dont live with my parents, and i have a cool dog. I play hockey, basketball, and softball with friends on sunday mornings. I play this game pretty often, and am always willing to help people out.
