Eh, only point 1 would be moot. and my main point was that no matter how high up the premium players go, VIPs will always get more.

Last night, I Gmailed myself 30,000,000 to share between various alts. Logged in my new Warshade and brought up the email. I then deleted the gmail and clicked new to resend the rest, I'd planned on keeping around 5 million on this guy.

    I forgot to hit claim...
I coulda swore you couldn't do that. Like, the claim button is replaced with the delete button, so you can't actually delete emails that have attachments...

But yeah, sorta need SG bases for that kind of thing.
Which is why i created the SG base in the first place, as a means to store all my drops in 1 location, so when i need them, i can just load up the 'storage' character, grab what i need, email it to myself, and slot on the character that needs it.

Its a great plan, the only problem is getting everything to said character.. I've crafted about 80-ish recipes via all the rares and uncommons i've managed to email to myself, and I'm ok enough with doing it this way (as global storage doesn't seem likely, and increasing self storage is already kinda happening with i21) i just don't like being limited to 150 transfers a day..clearing over 12 characters worth of salvage is a lot more then 150 items, and thats not even counting the fact i've been rolling alignment merits as much as possible to build an even bigger storage.
  4. So while i was consolidating all my uncommons and rare salvage *plus any rare and purple recipes* all onto my solo SG via the email system I ran into a very interesting problem.

After emailing myself 150 items, i could no longer email anymore... Which made my plans to have everything consolidated delayed by another day.

So besides getting a second account, or bugging a friend to join my SG so i can self invite my other characters (and leave my other SGs) is there a easier way to transfer a ton of salvage/recipes between my own character? Is the 15 second time between emails being removed with i21? Will the 150 emails a day limitations also be removed, or atleast extended?

Yes, I know that's only closing time + 1.something seconds. It's enough against the wrong x8 spawn.

Though stone/regen might be even better than parry for alpha reduction since it has range going for it. Also, no redraw.

Good catch about hitting the 90% resistance cap with MoG though. I did miss that.
On my regen, which i will admit is a katana/regen, if i don't already have a stack of DA active, i almost always jumped into a spawn with MoG active. Before MoG, i don't play at a higher enough difficulty where the alpha can't be mitigated with dull pain or recon right away (basically, jump into group, and hit recon right away, just in case, then proceed to hit DA)

My other /regen is a stalker, which means he gets to pick what fights he starts, and his only problem is running outta endurance (not getting quick recovery is just mean i tell you)

I plan on making a fire/regen brute, and going soul mastery for DN, so i can basically pull with DN into a group of mobs, and go from there. I'll prolly go for 32.5% melee or lethal/smash defense though on him, so he has some mitigation before he burns into to death.

At any rate, we can continue to discuss why I should give player opinions more credit than I do, and continue to go nowhere if you guys wish.

I think your going to find ANY slant put in my direction is not going to have the effect you expect.
First off, i'm not a she...

Secondly, lets actually look at the sugguestion.

You want the IO system (but not the market) to be introduced to new players at level 30, or higher, instead of at level 10. Due to your opinion on the IO system being too complex for lower level characters to understand, or get any benefit from said IO system below level 30.

Your arguement was that the complexity of the IO system was one of the main factors in peoples complaints about CoH, and to introduce it later would mean characters would have less to worry about until then, and be of a high enough level that the IO system will benefit them more, then it would benefit a level 10 character.

Now, lets look at some of the sub level 30 IO sets:

    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...r_levels_10-15
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...r_levels_15-20
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...r_levels_20-25
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...r_levels_21-25
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...r_levels_25-30

So, not counting doubles, your looking at about 123-ish Sets that run the gauntlet between level 10, and level 30. Your also looking at about 32 pieces of salvage in the level 4 - 25 range, and another 32 pieces of salvage in the 25 - 40 range. All of those would either have to be removed, or adjusted to drop at your new proposed 30+ range.

Looking again at the IO recipes in the pre-30 range, and you'll see plenty that of pretty good usage. Any damage procs in those range will function from level 7 upwards, adding to players DPS, Karma and Steadfast IOs (both don't drop below level 30) offer KB protection, and the steadfast +def IO is one of the most prized recipes due to the 3% defense boost it gives. There are also plenty of sets that can help with exemplaring at those level ranges, or help with a frankenslot build, as the dual-,tri- and quad-aspect enhancements are less affected by the limits of Exemplaring, which is explained here. http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Exemplar...n_Enhancements

So how exactly is the IO system not very useful pre-level 30, and somehow gets better post level 30?

A player at the highest tier is getting a full game for free, equivalent to what was available before Going Rogue, which IMO is unheard of in F2P games.
Except you know, Premiumns, no matter what 'tier' they are in, will not EVER get the following:

    1) Incarnate content. Both in powers, and access to itrials.
    2) the Tier 9 VIP tier, which includes awesome looking armors, and 150 extra PP a month
    3) Any other VIP only content (which i think is just limited /time right now? Don't VIPs get /time for free, but premiunms, have to pay to have access to it?)

So yeah.. your totally right, except when your not. which is right now.
  9. Brutes are getting access to Katana and broadsword, meaning they will get parry/divine avalanche... just ya know, saying.

That, and brutes have higher caps on resistance, meaning MoG will actually be useful (in the invent of autohit attack, or massive debuffs) as a means to increase resistance, where scrappers only cap at 75%..

With the added regen debuff resistance, and more resistance added to resilence, plus the higher base HP, regen on a brute will perform better then regen on a scrapper.

it still has its downsides, but all in all, its a better experience on a brute.

To be honest that's one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.
You've obviously haven't been playing this game very long. The very people your saying you don't owe anything to, are the very people the devs DO listen to. They are the vets, they are the ones who first discovered the power of IOs (back when they were released) they were the ones who first downed Hamidon, and then proceeded to down him again when they revamped Hamidon. (which by the way, was mainly done with PLAYER input in mind)

So quite simply put, the devs WILL listen to THEM much more then they will listen to YOU, especially when you flat out refuse to post FACTS, and are just working off your own OPINIONS.

I also love how you completely ignored the post about 'google' basically blowing your argument straight outta the water. By your own definition of 'do it for me' we have already discovered how much truth your saying, so what really makes you think the devs are going listen to you?
  12. Well, due to the i21 head start, I will be cancelling this next weeks MOKeyes attempt. I will try to run another on the 20th *about 2 weeks away*

    Crisis Monitor

Well, it won't update until said Giant monster, or even first starts, or ends, but you can always turn on the hero/villain event channel, and it'll tell you what and where is spawning for GMs/events/etc.

  14. I can push 5:30pm EST, but i can't do much later. I wanna try to get 2 runs in per tuesday night, and its really dependent on how much homework my GF has, and if she gets outta her class early or not. I usually start forming at 4:30EST, and then i start once i get 12 - 16 people. I don't want to run with much more then that though.
  15. We managed to get Bunker Buster, but I'd like to run more next tuesday, at the same time frame. The second run we had things went a lot smoother then the first run, and i think we can get some more of the badges pretty easy like.

Hell on Earth. Yeah, ok, so it does help, but since the main point of HoE is as a mule for the rech pet uniques, it isnt a big deal.
No other power in Demons needs crazy levels of recharge.
Onto dark...Tar patch is easily stackable (assuming it does stack) with moderate rech. The fear is stackable also, Dark servant is perma with basic slotting. The heal is fast enough as is.
really strugglnig to see the point of getting huge recharge, and making HT perma..when it just isnt needed.
HT has to be perma in order to stack the -regen. If you don't stack the -regen, then your going to take FOREVER to down most AVs. even longer to down GMs. -regen is the SOLE reason people are able to solo AVs/GMs. without that, MMs just don't do enough DPS to really put a massive dent into a AVs/GMs hp pool, especially with the fact the bulk of their attacks are in the form of DoTs.

And Hell of Earth is more then just a set mule. If all your using it for is a set mule, your simply doing it wrong. The hellfire imps that come out, are a massive DPS boost, and the +dmg/+tohit it gives to your pet allows it to do some really insane damage. Slap it on your Hellfire Gargoyle, and watch its damage aura tick for like 30s. Plus having multiple imps running around clawing things up and taking damage that your pets aren't taking.

With AV resistance, a level 50 AV/GM is going to resist 85% of your debuffs. HT is only a 500% regen debuff, and with AV resistance, its only debuffing 75% of an AVs regeneration. Adding in Midnight Grasp and your only going to be able to do a total of 82.5% -regen. That's not enough to floor them, so you have to overcome the remaining 17.5% regeneration. (which for a level 50 AV is about 94.24 * .175 or 16.5hp/second, for a GM you would only decreases its regen from .5%hp/second to .0875%hp/second, still leaving plenty of passive regen that you would need to overcome before you start doing damage to the GM)
  17. Its mainly because you'll need to perma Howling Twilight, which i thought had a much higher base recharge vs duration then it really does. Granted, -500% regen isn't enough to floor all AV/GMs, and you'll have to keep using your heal as well to stack enough -regen to overcome most AV/GMs regen rate, but a /dark would have it easier then a /therm.

Ah, i guess i missed that part about SD.. yep, that explains it. SD gives so much more to scrappers, that it would push higher then brute counter parts.. Now fire/fire brutes vs fire/fire scrappers, and brute would pull ahead.. (at least in theory, due to better taunt, higher resistance, higher HP, which means higher heals, and more damage)

    Best Buff's?

    Emp for single targets.

Time for medium to large teams (being able to basically power boost heal over half a team, plus provide +recharge, +recovery, and +def to everyone will be very nice)

FF if all you need is defense

With either of these MMs be able to what I want when built correctly? I am not asking for someone to give me a build, just would like for someone to tell me what to build for in order to accomplish what I want to accomplish. I am just focusing on an end game build atm. Many thanks in advance for the help.
Well, both combinations could do what you want (team play, and AV/GM soloing) but it'll take a massive IO investment to make work properly. The main thing you'll need to AV/Gm solo is -regen, and while both /thermal and /dark have it, /dark has better access to it. Dark's heal and its rez both do -regen (the rez has much more -regen tacked on, but you'll have to use it offensively instead of as an actual rez) /thermal has decent -regen, and nice -res/-def, but you'll need a very large amount of global recharge to get it perma, which will almost be required to solo AV/GMs.

You also need to consider how you want to solo said thing. most MMs tankermind (as in the MM itself has provoke, takes the brunt of the damage, and the pets deal the damage, allowing the MM to soak much more via bodyguard mode, and quickly heal with back up) In order to pull that off easily, you'll need to softcap either lethal/smash, or ranged, but as neither /thermal or /dark have a means to immobilize AVs/GMs, you'll prolly want lethal/smash, which means getting Scorpion Shield.

It'll be a very expensive build either way, but it is possible to pull off with the combinations your looking at.

I'll have to second this. Disintegration will deal a pretty hefty DoT, and will put most mobs into Scourge range, basically allowing you to 1 shot into Scourge, and then do 3 - 4 times normal damage (due to Disintegration and scourge supplementing each other)

Add in a low redraw secondary, like /rad or /traps, and you'll have a pretty nasty combination on your hands.

You mean except for all of the top DPS builds where they are totally outclassed by Scrappers?

There is one single Brute build that is currently out doing Scrappers - and as soon as Scrappers get Super Strength, the Scrapper version of SS/FA will most likely outclass the Brute version in damage output even without Gloom.
I'm honestly not sure Fire melee on a scrapper would out damage Fire melee on a brute, due to the DoT not critting, but being affected by fury.

I'm not counting high end, damage capped builds, but even if i was, does the extra DoT being fueled by fury out shine the crit damage of Scrappers fire melee?
  25. I'll have to check out DA. I'm thinking of adding shorts to the outfit, or even just adding full length pants (in the design of the boots Mayhem wears now) and the having heels added on. What do you guys think?
