I'd like to see the quote on that because we were told the exact opposite, namely, the Devs know you can't get to some deliverees and so you have to dismiss it.

This was reported as a Bug and Dink is fixing it.

  4. FYI: Necro pets don't ever need EndRedux. They never run short of endurance except maybe from a Sapper. Even battling Freakshow, their end is barely dented.
  5. It's in the works!

What you are seeing is a new feature peeking its head out. We have in the works what we call an 'Additional Power Bar' (or Alternate Power Bar) here in the office. It allows us to give you powers directly to a bar under our control (that additional one that appears on top) for use in missions or anything else. It removes the need to fish through your Temporary Powers list for the power you were just given that you need to complete a mission.

The APB can also be used to have you "play" as another being, or piloting something that you wouldn't have access to your normal powers while controlling it. In this version, your normal powers would gray out and only the APB powers would be activatable. It's very cool, very powerful tech that's going to allow us to do a lot of things we have avoided recently because we want to stop the bloat of Temporary Powers that characters seemingly accumulate in mass quantities.

That said it's not a 22 feature, and the bug reported here is a legitimate one that does affect how some people play the game, so thanks for the catch. You'll be seeing more about the APB as we start talking about issue 23 and the Summer Blockbuster event.

Ohhh. So *that's* who that guy was. The amateur didn't notice the tiger pit.

For Set Bonuses, they count as two different sets.

For Slotting, they count as the same set, and since they're all Uniques, an ATO and it's SATO version are mutually exclusive.

    Epiphany!

I was told there'd be Little Christmas presents. Where are they?!

  10. There's something wrong with Faces. I can't find the fields in which to order some of the more attractive ones.

So there's no confusion, the Rule of Five is not enforced on *type* of bonus, but on the specific bonus itself. You can have five +7.5% recharge and five +10% recharge if you can somehow fit that into a build, because you are allowed five of each bonus by name.
Deeper diving into the mechanics has revealed it's not the uniqueness of the name, but the actual Boost-Power that is called.

So, you can have two different Boost-Powers with the same exact effect, and regardless of how they're named in 'combat attributes' you can have up to 5 of each.

Or you can have one particular Boost-Power that shows in in 'real numbers' with 8 different names, but, will cap at being called the fifth time.

But, for all intents and purposes, so far, all Boost-Powers have unique names that are consistently used in 'real numbers', so, one can confidently count the number of times one sees that unique name to determine when the cap of 5 has been hit.

Do many people actually buy them at minimum level, and level up with them? I've never bothered with them until the character was level 50 and I was confident I was going to keep it. On the way up, I tend to Frankenslot whatever I find or get cheaply. For me, attuned enhancements are much more valuable due to their exemping down better than a max level normal set IO, and not because they level up with me.
If you know what your level 50 build is going to look like (thanks, Mids!) which includes using Attuned Enhancements, then there is no reason not to slot them as you level up.

I do that on Beta where they're free.

Really, if you understand the message they're trying to get across, why do you care how they misspell or misuse the terminology?
Because when you get the terminology wrong, you misunderstand the mechanics. E.g., when IO Sets first came out, people were calling all the Special IOs "Uniques". Well, some of them were Unique, but many were not and that caused all sorts of confusion. It was a few months before people realized that you can put 5 LotG:+Recharge in one build.

Then they started calling them "Globals". But some of them weren't global, they were what we now call 'Procs' that only affect the power they're in.

When people call ATOs "ATIOs", they think they operate like IOs, which they don't. They are attuned, they can't be boosted, they're not from recipes, Freemiums can use them, etc...

That's why the right terminology is important.

As for the right spelling and grammatical forms of Catalyst: Well aside from typos, using the wrong form just makes one look dumb.

I have a feeling I'll be posting this regularly for the next few months. .....
Catalysis, noun - the process of speeding up or causing a reaction, accent on second syllable

Catalyst, noun - the thing causing the reaction, accent on first syllable

Catalyze (catalyzing, catalyzed), verb - to cause catalysis to happen, accent on first syllable

Catalytic, adj. - pertaining to catalysis, accent on first syllable.
Say no to: Catalytizing, catalystizing, catalyzation, and catalytization. They are not the right forms.

My mistake. Just tested this and you're right. Superior ATOs are Account Bound and not Character Bound.

However, Catalysts are Character Bound, so, be careful which character claims it from the email interface.

All Attuned Enhancements attune to your level as you level up. They do *not* attune to your level when you exemplar down. The normal Exemplar Enhancement Aspect Scaling applies to Attuned Enhancements.

They (the purpled Catalysted ATOs) are more restrictive than Account Bound, they're Character Bound. Can't even pass them to alts. Same with the Catalysts... once you claim them from the email interface, they are Character Bound. And with I22, Catalysts will be drops... which will be Character Bound.

EDIT: Ooops. Superior ATOs are Account Bound, not Character Bound. Catalysts are Character Bound, however.

EDIT II: People are reporting Catalyst drops from iTrials, so... seems that doesn't have to wait til I22.
