  1. I have more names than characters.

I don't make a new toon until I have a name. I have several toons created who are waiting on me to give them some time.

How can you decide to make a toon without having a name?

  4. The amount of money spent on TOs and DOs is negligible imho.

I kit mine out with the finest TOs and DOs I have the patience to buy. Though sometimes, I don't get around to doing it.

I don't think it's that much of a loss of money. A net mil or two I think. Idk exactly, but I am sure it's less than 5mil.

And sometimes it's nice to b able to do just a little more than I otherwise would.

    Purple Drop Rate

Maybe you'll get a string of purples sometime in the future.
Random is random, but in theory, given enough opportunities, it evens out. I dont know how many opportunities are enough though.
  7. When you ding 20 in Praetoria, there's great big letters spelling out that you have unlocked an epic archetype.

    That should prob'ly be changed.

Easy to see why someone would think that they had unlocked an epic archetype after seeing that message.

    Sounds fun
  10. My issues w/ pvp may be shared by others. If things were different, perhaps the pvp community would be larger.

I'd love to pvp. I had taken my toons into pvp zones and got stomped every time and that's a drag. So I decided to hold out til I can get the dough for a pimped out toon of the appropriate sort. Idk which kind.

Then the rules all changed. And now I really don't know what to make or how to build it. I don't understand the mechanics of it. The few posts I have seen explaining the mechanics involve advanced math of some sort. Color me meh about doing that just to play.

If I could use my current pve toons with some success,
    OR
If I could easily determine how to build what sort of toon,
    OR
If pvp were just more user friendly (user friendly in my opinion anyway)
    I'd be all about it.

It's possible that there are other folks with the same opinions about it out there.

Currently, the learning curve and effort involved push it pretty far down on my CoX priority list.
  11. It appears that you have components of NortonAV and AVG on your machine.

Having more than one anti-virus program running at once can sometimes create weird behavior
  12. You may or may not wish to remove personally identifying information from your post
  13. Oddly, I have had the opposite occur in instanced maps for SFs that I do regularly. Sometimes I'll will zone in and there will be no FoW at all. The entire instanced map will be revealed.
Doesn't happen always, or even frequently, but has happened more than once.
  14. your DirectX is out of date as well.

Also you should probablt turn all of your graphics settings for the game all the way down or off

  16. So, possibly, you would have to go from xp32 to xp 64 to vista 64 to W7

    or

    xp32 to vista 32 to vista 64 to W7

    or

    xp32 to vista 32 to W7 32

    or

do a clean install of everything
  17. I think you would have to go from xp to vista to 7

iirc, there's no direct migration tool for xp to 7

but possibly soem 3rd party software.

All said and done, you'll likely end up happier if you do a clean install of everything
  18. Will the collector's edition in game powers code work on the NA servers?
  19. I am all for being able to IO out AE toons.
I also would very much like to be able to give them inherents, temps & pool powers.

I suspect it would take a fair amount of work. So I am not sure how high up I would put it all on the priority list.

  21. Whether or not its efficient depends on what you have available to compare it to.

If you're an AoE brute, stealthing won't be that efficient way to gain levels because you'd get more out of killing a bunch of things.

If you're a ST squishie, you may get more more quickly if you stealth because it would take you a while to kill a bunch.

I suspect that you're using the word 'relevant' to mean something different than I do.

I am not sure what "future proofing" is. Perhaps you think I am thinking of something other than what I think I am thinking. I bought my current machine in, on and around 2003 to 2005 or so. I still find it to be relevant and useful; however, I doubt that I will think the same of it in another 6 years. That's why I intend to purchase a new computer in the relatively near future.

Which is exactly what I expect. That's why I will probably buy another one around that time.
