What are the primaries and how is the WP set up? Did you go for HP/Regen/Softcap or what?

If you haven't had it done yet I'm down for a swap on Triumph. I could actually use a little more influence, haha.

Without being able to access mids right now, I'd already say I'm sad with not six-slotting your actual attacks.

I'd have to ask how your attack chain and endurance usage looked but you do have 4 purple sets slotted....that may or may not be a chain breaker (sure you're getting the bonus 2.5% recovery or however much, but you're sacrificing alot of endurance reduction as well).

Your build probably works great but it's not the way I'd go about it. Is this just a general build or were you gunning for AV soloing?

That's my answer at least, then again I purple my scrappers and sick them on AV's. Gotta make sure that DPS attack chain recharges fast enough :-p

Oh and the accuracy and recovery go a long way as well.

edit: Although, I did compromise and slotted obliterations instead of armageddons....since I spent 800 mil on a panacea and glad's armor unique.

Don't get me wrong, those arma's will be slotted once I get the money again.

how do you know to build that way?
Do you have ideas before you start with Mids?
Do you basically know how you are going to achieve lets say soft capped defenses vis a vis what powers you are going to take so you can slot x sets to get what you want ?
Or is it more a case of tinkering with Mids until you have what you want and then tinkering until you have made sure there is no better way to get there?

Is it that its more efficient to your ultimate goal because you need tough and the damage is close enough to SPs that theres not much in it and you need the powerchoice for something different?
Im basically trying to understand when it comes to building an amazing IO'd character what are the compromises you make that tend to yield a stronger character?
Or maybe you already know you are going to have enough recharge that boxing is just a slot mule and you wont be using it, you will be using SM, MG Smite and siphon. was it that? and how did you know that you wouldnt need boxing but would need it to slot it that way?
For instance I have an MA/Shield and took and slotted boxing for concept reasons but was thinking hard about taking thunderkick instead since it does more damage and can take the same sets, I would be willing to bet that you didn't choose boxing for concept reasons (drat that sounded snarky I dont mean it to) I think you chose it as a means to an end.
Hmmm you slotted amaze which is stun, what was that for? (Damnit that sounds snarky too! Don't read anything into that, I just don't know and want to understand better)
And Hammi Os, what is it that makes you decide to go for those as opposed to IOs from a set or 2 IOs from 2 different sets?

Just a few comments:

1. Boxing over Shadow punch because A) You need it for Tough/Weave and B) It takes the stun purple set.

2. The hami-O's each give you 20% resist/def and 33% Endurance, slotting two will get you ~40% resist/def and 66% end. Slotting two Res/End IO's will give you less benefit for the slot. Some of those hami-O's are expensive so the alternative is to just use IO's.

3. With a high enough +recharge in the build, the attack chain is actually Smite > Siphon Life > Smite > Midnight Grasp, shadow maul is technically a set mule as well.

I tried soloing Dominatrix for a while and got bored with her.

Then I looked up her resists and walked away. She can't kill me at all, so I guess it's just a standstill. (DM/SD)

I doubt I'd be able to take any AV's on a SO build but it's worth a shot.

My DM/Invul is AFK right now in the middle of said spawn while I type this message. I have Siphon Life on auto though. Took a while to find one with three soldiers. Hey, if a willpower gets to go AFK when their defense resistance isn't being tested, I don't have to go AFK with my lack of psy resists being tested.

And to Ryu: That Will in your sig. Is that your only one? You can't base your knowledge on how "teh awesome" willpower is when you pair it with Katana. By the same vein, my DM/invul is insane, regularly tanking for ITF's, but that doesn't make me an expert on how Invul performs by itself.

Wait when their defense debuff resistance isn't being tested? I think if you went afk in a mob with a ton of defense debuffs, both the WP and the Invuln wouldn't do very well :-p It only takes a few to get the cascade rolling.

Ran into a level 49 Ill/Therm troller who didn't use any power but Stealth.

After about 10 minutes of trying to convince the person of using their powers I gave them a swift /kick.

He then sent me a tell saying "I'm not on the team, reinvite me" I told him he should leave atlas and explore the rest of paragon, and learn how to play the game in the meantime.

The guy then kept going on about how he's a two year vet and he promises to start using his powers. I chuckled on the inside and kept playing.

I left redside completely after realizing the big market disparity.

I only play when my friends make me or when the server needs me to.

Other than that, I play blueside for the much larger community.
