  1. I wouldn't mind going back, but I think the Devs would have to cut the taunt duration by some percentage.

As a side note, I would like to see Sandy Collora (Worlds Finest, Batman: Dead End) produce this.

This is very true for Age of Conan; I suppose the question then becomes what supports the needs for City of Heroes best out of these engines? I know when I saw Aion, I fell in love with how it looked graphically, but I have no idea if that translated into a robust gaming experience. I feel like I'm at a point of frustration in wanting to continue playing City of Heroes whilst not, if that makes any sense. By that, I mean playing CoH in its current form.

I enjoy that visceral feeling I have in other games lately, and I suspect it's due to those mechanics that give me the feeling I'm directly influencing things around me (ala Arkham City) and it feels like that's the one major element that at least for my personal experience that isn't being met right now. I always felt that as far as console games went, it was ones like Incredible Hulk: Engine of Destruction, Spiderman 2, and even Superman Returns were games that had that City of Heroes feel (a large expansive city to play in) and one that you could see what you did in it. Would a mix of certain engines suffice here, or are there some standouts (like the often mentioned Unreal 3) that would do the job? I suppose in a way this goes back to my wish list comments before....

    S.

The problem with having the sense of effecting the world around you is that 100K other players want the same experience. Really, console games are not a fair comparison to make against MMOs. Everything you do here has to be applied to all players.

  5. Oh and I'll call it. Guy Gardner will be the one.

  7. My question is why would you want to keep a copywritten name? The EULA isn't there just to screw you over, it's there to protect the company from the crap that Marvel tried to pull.

    Terminator Bust

It was awesome and just a bit disturbing in it's realism

Would go well with my previous travel power Glide Wings

  10. After cleaning up the dangling bits of the game, I still suggest "Dynamic Content" (tm) for the open world.

    And for capes?

I third this!!! But please include the pattern for the masks as well.

  13. There are really no other request I could think of than having mask textures match costume textures.
  14. Remember when villains were supposed to be proactive? Yeah me neither.
  15. We would need new Fly Poses too.
  16. I have people I work with that still judge CoX based on the 2008 game. Most people need the eye candy to take that first step to jump on board.
  17. Well, while it's true, we shouldn't be power-locked into a costume piece, the power itself should be customizable to allow a matching cape (or even a hang glider or glide chute).

  18. The premise is simply (even if the mechanics may not be). It's a click power that can be activated when running or falling. When active and falling, your long cape opens into a glider shape. In this form, you rate of decent is drastically reduced and controlled. While active an running, the cape creates enough lift to glide several feet off the ground, with some control for slightly higher lift. I see the running glide allowing a player to fly high enough to avoid aggro from a single mob in the open zone. Any long cape in the inventory can become a glider cape, but I can see how the cape patterns can be complicated by the change in dimensions of the capes, so it may be limited to solid colors.
  19. "Or, you know, if you don't want to fight against THOSE people, play against a friend instead. You won't see me entering any Strongest Man contests, since I doubt I could flip a car with my hands. Same idea applies to PvP.

I mean, it's not like I'm going to take any Warshades up against Giant Monsters in PvE. What's the difference?

Now if we took teams against each other, THAT'D be interesting. As long as there was none of that phony mez suppression."

You know that difference between fighting a Giant Monster and fighting a purples-out IOed player? You know you will get our behind kicked BEFORE the fight.

Also, it seems you seem to be wrapped around the mez suppression issue above anything else.
  20. So basically you want PvP to be all Purple IOed, Incarnates. That what it would be (if it isn't already) and every one else gets farmed.
  21. Seeing as how we don't really advertise heavily, those that would be impacted most are already the most understanding of its necessity.
  22. 8. Skulls: Mostly natural. Bosses = magic. Putting in as Natural.
    9. Hellions: Same as skulls.

Calling shenanigans here. They are both magic. The fact that their recruits aren't skilled yet still puts both groups firmly in the magic column.
  23. I'm with Sam on this. GW's hair look terrible and the main reason a straight port would be a bad idea. I think real animated hair is the limit to what our engine can perform, regardless of tweaks or tricks.
  24. Welcome Back Prof. Nice to see more of the old gang coming back.
