  1. I think it's clear something is done with them, we've just seen the end result with the 'Awakened'.
  2. I don't think it tells you about the city rep, but it definitely tells you via the trainer when you hit 20 to go see the Icon in Steel Canyon.
  3. Well, if you're a hero. Villains have at least a modicum more fun since they actually get to feel like they're doing things ;p Plus they get some nice temps
  4. I dunno I didn't find it that puppy kickworthy. More comedic than anything else, more so involving the bits with Doc Aeon. The finale was a bit disappointing though.
  5. It's a good question. The Praetorian Psimon Omega is on the run from Mother Mayhem, and there are several male seers among the Awakened in First Ward, so we know she collects them, just not sure what she -does- with them.

In any case, it is a vast improvement on the tedium of the Hollows...
I find it hard to call that a twist ending when Proton was the only one you never did anything with. it would've been more of a twist if Twinshot actually -had- been the traitor.
  7. I honestly don't mind the 'lack of story' in the hollows, in general. I mean for being a basic 'starting out' zone I don't think you really need any kind of intricate plot or deep meaningful reason to go beat up gang members that are causing trouble and take down their boss. My first non-praetorian character ran the Hollows arc and I think it's just perfect in terms of the flavor it needs to be. You're a low level super hero helping out the cops. That's all it really -needs- to be. I don't need Frostfire to be some developed rising kingpin that's got some evil agenda like recruiting school kids and mutating them or whatever or getting help to perform some arcane ritual to empower him and his lieutenants. The guy is just a jerk, the outcasts are jerks, and they need their clocks cleaned so the local police have one less issue on their plates to deal with.

I guess it's just me, but I prefer lowbie stuff to be simple like that. As has been said the seeding for a lot of the larger plots in the game start building up once you hit Faultline and Talos etc.

You probably want to take care of those, they suck blood you know.
  9. I think his point stemmed from the fact the Talons themselves are all female.

And yes. The only trick to curing the 'of Vengeance' plague is to put them down before they can spread more.
  10. I think since most people tend to go with Core for the Boss & Lt for pure damage, this has probably been largely overlooked. Something worth testing anyway.

Frankly, since they're only up for.. what 3 minutes 20 seconds? They should be geared to use heals as often as possible. I mean, they're support pets, they don't -do- anything else but their buffs and heals.

And the old TF is awarding the new badge.

I agree with GG. Let a Hero's Hero keep Stateman's Pal as a badge. Have Hero's Epic have the new Pal badge.

And I think the old TF should award both badges. Just dummy Psyche's badge so it doesn't mess with Task Force Commander.
  12. As for her summoning being pointless, I disagree.

I thought it was hilarious, and an excellent way to present Mot's strength and what a true threat he'd become. She's inneffective less because she's not that strong, but because Mot was stronger. I just enjoyed it as a twist, especially since it was presented as a Finale and it seemed like things were shaping up in typical Heroes fashion. Not the case, and delightfully so.

As for David Hazen, I don't think he really needed much more. He was the first to combat against Mot and while he lost in the short term, it was ultimately his sacrifice that allowed the plan to work. He was simply part of the chain of heroes that had tried and seemingly failed to overcome Mot's forces.

    I don't get it.
  14. More damage = better.

The only trick is that on itrials, if everyone is using reactive then you're losing out on a lot of that extra power because it only stacks together so many times.

    They're all petty gravy otherwise.
  15. That was actually one minor point I felt was a little lacking. The Banished Pantheon focus pretty much solely on Mot in DA. It's one of the gods they worship and gives them direct power, buuuut I wasn't really expecting it to be focused on to the exclusion of all others. I think Lughebu is mentioned maybe once or twice in passing combat dialogue, the 'idle chatter' among minions, and the general in passing references to how Mot will smash the barrier with the spirit world should he fully awaken. Otherwise that was it, which is just kind of disappointing because I expect it's going to be a long long while, if ever, that the Bainshed Pantheon get in the 'epic spotlight' like this again.

Oh and I thought Tielekku's appearance and subsequent nomming was hilarious.

Oh and one other thing. I'm not -positive- buuut I think there is an actually tangible effect to the end arc. Once you complete the Dream Doctor's arc there is a curtain of mystical wards that shrouds Moth Graveyard.
  16. Well and I find if you -need- iXP and you want to street sweep, asking the leader to do so usually gets you a 'sure why not'. The usual trial formers are pretty flexible and accommodating when it isn't a complete inconvenience or something frustrating (example: MoLambda, MoKeyes).

  18. I dunno, frankly playing tourist is kind of boring. I finally took my Rogue around to Paragon, I'd love for there to be something to -do- besides teaming with heroes. I mean, we already kind of have repeatables in doing tips and radio/newspaper missions at any level. But those are about as interesting as doing them on your side already.

And all the tangible rewards are just merits, any badge you earn is useless (except as a shiny to a badger) until you actually switch sides completely.

And if all the zones were open, would you be able to freely team? The benefit to the current system, at least, is if you can -see- someone in a non-PVP zone, they can join your team.

It'd also probably break Ouroboros, or Ouro would still just be a massive problem :P

Yeah, I will say that I was a little disappointed that with all the other updates the Banished Pantheon, Tsoo, Talons and Knives got, the 'incarnate' Circle of Thorns were just the standard Peregrine mobs only they went from levels 50-54 instead of the standard 50-51 and lacked the Possessed Scientists.

I will say though, for style points I have to give the Knives of Vengeance credit. They were at least flashier than any other mob and kind of entertaining to fight.

Though I still wonder if we'll ever be getting Autumnal Control/Assault >>
  20. Titan Beam Sword? oh, is that what that is.

I thought they were giving us the Schwartz.

Yeah, pretty sure that could be updated a bit.
  22. I've tried Exalted, Virtue, and Victory.

Exalted can be semi-active, but I find it to be pretty clique-y in the chats. When it's not, it's quiet.

Virtue is always busy, pretty much 24/7, there's almost no time the server is empty. Though the large population is, as with any big group, a blessing and a curse. It's pretty easy to hook up for teams, but any kind of open chat has the usual assorted mix of nasty and nice.

Victory is small, pretty quiet, but has very active populations that do a lot of trials and other events, with a couple main channels (Victory Limitless and Victory Forum) where it's drop dead easy to recruit for practically any event whether it's a TF, iTrial, mission, GM or whatever. Only problem is a heavy amount of the population is US east coast, so once it hits around midnight for them the crowd sloughs off to a skeleton crew.
  23. If you have the capability to, keeping your NPC allies alive helps -a lot-. So toss them heals, buffs. Destiny is -extremely- nice to have for them (particularly barrier).
