I like it, though with rockets I would take the last one out, make high-speed flight the final tier, and put in a minor ranged power in tier 1.

As for the OP - dammit man, I'm still working on my Dual Blades/Willpower scrapper, my plant/rad controller, my mind/psy blaster and my shield tank! I can't possibly catch up with this stuff!! I've still never gotten a sonic anywhere, but I DO have a sonic/storm ... who isn't very good... -
Considering they were meant to be pre-order special items, probably not. If you can get your hands on an unused preorder code, you can still use it I believe.

The costume parts according to the devs (after the panel) have been carefully arranged using their system. There are only 2 locations for costumery left available out of 20 and I assume (though I may be wrong) that Auras are in a way one of them. They may merely "add a layer" to an existing node, but I don't know, I didn't ask about those. -

Yes, we do have an idea. Because we have been specifically told, regarding "let's have one server be x" that it is NOT possible and NOT going to happen. People ask "why can't we have an old-school "issue one" server!"
Because issue 1 doesn't have anything that we have now. It's like a different game. So if you want to find an old install disk and create a server for yourself, ... well, that'd be illegal, but that'd be the only way. It's not possible to have the same database split like that into "this one has different rules" because the rules MUST be the same on live servers.
If you wanted to pay for a *separate game*... sure. Why not. But still - it'd be something that your existing characters may never be able to be ported to. They'd likely have to be entirely recreated and could never be brought *back* to the other servers for the same reason. -

The colors they chose were to prevent either "pee/blood" ice, etc, or to just not look hideous.
The colors we get for each power may vary - the "dark" version of some powers is actually an "inverse" effect, it's really spiffy but kinda hard to describe.
Not all colors will be available for all powersets. The colors on the "copy colors across entire costume" are NOT copied over to the power choices, however the power choice area has its own "copy all" if they're available. -

See, I *wasn't* a fan of the cartoon or toys.
But the trailer I saw was quite fun. I don't know that I'd care to actually see it, but if a friend invites me I won't say no. It doesn't bother me that it might or might not be "true" to the old Joe stuff. It just looks like a couple hours of stupid fun and explosions and fx. That's not too bad. -
Pick up Paint Shop Pro 8 online. It's dirt cheap. (or it should be, as it's 3 or 4 now behind the 'current' version by another company) It's got Animation Shop included. Everything I produce artwise (http://lethe-gray.deviantart.com/ ) (http://world-of-zekira.deviantart.com/ ) is done on it.

.... You do know that there WAS ingame advertising, right? And that it didn't work? Because we haven't seen an ad up for like ... almost a year now (? 9+ months?) since there were a total of TWO ads available from the company that they selected.
I very much doubt that the static billboard constructions are anything like the tv sets in the base builder - it's been said very recently "they aren't like that" (I believe it was one of the questions at the comic con panel actually suggesting to import things we can see already, into the base builder). So no, the code doesn't necessarily work that way.
Doublefusion should be a folder in your COH directory. THAT is the advertising company they went with. If youv'e got it on your computer, you've seen the ads - or maybe you missed em. It was a trial, didn't work, didn't generate nearly enough income, though it was far less offensive than it could have been - ... like the way you're suggesting.
Load times in your suggestion would be terrible. Each of the ads in the DF version would load *at character zoning*, and be *different based on location*. So one person who's in California might see something (if they had more than one) different than someone in New York.
What we do have, provided they are either still under licence to use the DF code, is the ability to send them art and have supergroups and events advertised. That was something that lots of people were interested in at the start of the "real ingame ads" discussion. However, I'm not sure that they DO still have the licence, that's something a redname would have to address. -
I think it's painfully obvious that:
Lots of people don't understand how the game works
Some folks don't grasp others methods of playing the game
A few folks liking something doesn't make it work in the game
A few folks wanting something doesn't mean it should ever - ever - appear in a game particularly when the bulk of the game's players do NOT want it there
Critique is rarely interpreted properly by people who don't understand their own suggestions
... In other words, some folks need to chill - learn to take criticism of your ideas without trying to misinterpret it as a personal attack. Don't rely upon "oh you missed my point" unless there's a clear and actual moment in a post where you can point and say "but I didn't say those words, I said something different". If you can't do that? It's not a misunderstanding, it's a *disagreement*. Disagreement doesn't mean "they hate you". -

I'm hoping that with Going Rogue, we get more slots, but I don't really know if I should count on it or not. i'm sure it's something they know we want, but in all reality, they DO still want to make money and they DO still like having "more" accounts in use. Stockholders like that, your ability to trade to yourself likes that...
Mine, only get resubbed when it's free, i hit all my rusty toons and make sure I've logged in on them (like for anniversary badges) but otherwise they're languishing
when I can afford it, I keep 2 open. Can't right now.
Have you considered moving one or two of your lesser played characters "into storage" on another server? Doesn't mean you'll necessarily play them more than you already are, if you've got 36 on one server I cannot honestly think that you play *every one of them a lot*. -

This game actually has made me make MORE female toons (I'm a grrl) though in tabletop games I tend to rp males because they're way easier and fun to stereotype.
I do get 'the stare' sometimes, which I find oddly flattering until it goes too far like some of the conversations above.
But I've also had a male toon, MA/SR scrapper, who is HAWT. Leather pants, fingerless gloves, nothing more, long hair, the muscular chest option.
I had been fiddling around with Council and Outcasts in Steel Canyon when I see this higher level female toon standing there nearby, not interfering but not saying anything.
I asked them, "checkin him out?" And she was all YES, we laughed. I admitted that I made the toon because I wanted to see him in action. He was indeed quite smexy. I love this game.
Generally though when someone "learns I'm a girl" all that really needs to be said by me is "you should wish me a happy birthday! Last monday I turned 42!!"
They usually stop when they realize I'm older than their parents...
