it seems like factors outside the clue were in contradiction to it but that's not the same as being self-contradictory -
maybe you should have worked harder on explaining it to them instead of telling us about basic gameplay concepts

i hate to break this to you but going straight edge was never really in style -
the morality of anything you do in an mmo seems a bit detached. if you steal some medicine from orphans and sell it on the black market, so what? the world is exactly the same. nothing is better or worse for the wear. your only contact with the results of your actions (or really, your actions themselves) is in the form of some text in a box. "you're a terrible person!" that box may say, but you're only a terrible person to that one text box at that one moment. as soon as that box disappears, you're just as good or evil as you ever were.
then again, this is a very consequentialist point of view, so absolutists may beg to differ. -
Dear Caves,
I have been seriously looking back upon our relationship and getting very clear on what I need and desire out of a relationship.
The conclusion I have come to is that we are too different in both our personality and our desired lifestyles to be able to successfully live together with joy, bliss, good communication, and interaction.
This is not about you or about me "winning or losing", or about one of us being wrong -- it is about two ways of being... which do not fulfill each other, or go together. Though I had been open to having you visit with the thought that possibly we could 'try' again, after thinking about it a lot, I realize that it is not a good idea. I am very clear that we are not the 'right' people for each other at this time in our lives.
Please forgive yourself, and me, for any 'mistakes' we made along the way... and remember that we both have grown immensely through being together... but the time has come to move on.
So basically what I am saying is that I would like to 'cancel' my invitation for you to visit. I feel at this time, that I need to move on with my life, and having you come and visit would not serve any positive purpose. You need to accept that this relationship is over and open yourself up to receiving the blessings of the universe...
I think we both need to let go of the past, be grateful for what we had for a time, learn from our experiences, and move on from there.
Dearest Caves, we have been through a lot together... I have a learned a lot about myself, as you have learnt a lot about yourself. At this point, we are both ready to graduate to the next level in a relationship...What we have learned, whether while we were together, or whether after, through looking back on how we 'operated' together, will serve us in our future relationships.
It has been my experience, that all relationships that end are simply opening the door to another level of joy, and a better relationship built on what we have learnt in the past. So I know and trust that there is someone out there who will support you in your growth while loving you exactly the way you are... which is something that we were not doing for each other. I constantly judged and criticized you, in the same manner that you judged and criticized me... Out there is the perfect person for you that will love you and not find a single thing to criticize about you in the same way that you will not find a single thing to criticize about them... You will accept her as she is, even while seeing that she is not "perfect".
Do not see this as losing something, but rather as having gained knowledge and wisdom... Everything that you learned from us being together, as well as from us being separated, you will be able to put in practice in your next relationship to avoid the traps that we got into.
EVERYTHING ALWAYS WORKS OUT FOR THE BEST, and this is no exception. Trust in yourself, trust in the Universe, trust in the power of Love that rules our lives. Please dont get into feeling sorry for yourself and wanting to 'end it all'. Rather, thank God for the learning experience, and ask for the openness to recognize the blessings in your life. They are there... open yourself up to being you, accepting yourself completely without judgment, and loving yourself unconditionally.
I wish you joy, I wish you happiness, I wish you heaven on earth. Please trust in yourself and the Universe enough to take some deep breaths, and start looking to find and create joy in your life. It is there... simply step out and claim it.

you're awfully worked up about what amounts to little more than a term of convenience -
losing soul storm means losing the chance to use that kickin' rad basilisk's gaze set but i think i'd need to put more slots in it to justify keeping it so if the slotting doesn't change i think i'll take your advice.
the only thing is, i want the slotting to change because i need more recharge in reconstruction, dull pain, and instant healing, but i need to figure out how to do that without losing too much ae defense. heal sets are so bleh

Statesman, your high-road responses seem vaguely inhuman. I would respect you much more if you made veiled jabs at detractors or perhaps called them names. People are certainly entitled to have an opinion, but sharing it is another matter. Since you've got all the inside information on the game, you can let people know when they say things that are terribly stupid. Otherwise, they may stay under the impression that the words they spew out are good ideas instead of intellectual vomit.
I mean, you probably had your share of idiot customers when you worked in retail. There were probably a couple that got told to jump off a bridge and/or never return, right? The same rules apply here! Usually, it's the mods' job to do that sort of thing, but I'm sure you could hop in now and again to tell people they need to (censored) in many hurtful words. -

DM seems lackluster. Personally, I'd be really really happy if Shadow Maul were dropped and replaced with something that didn't take three seconds, even if they had to drop the BI to balance things out. The huge animation doesn't even earn an auto-crit! It can hit something like three people total and it still gets reduced.
The only thing that stands out is the fear, but EM's already got control and damage. Is there a good reason, other than concept, to play the set? I'm not feeling the dark groove here. -

Are you sure about this? The way I understood it, it would be 510 feet. There's a difference of 10 between the -perception and +perception caps, but everyone starts out with a sight range of 500. If the caps all but cancel each other out, a player will still be left with the base value, right? -
Regardless of if you decide to keep toggle-dropping on Ballista-1 or not, it would be nice to have a little message pop up when one of your toggles gets disabled. Something original like, "Toggle Dropped!" or maybe "You're about to get pwned, sucker!"
It's not cool when you discover that last Force Bolt disabled your mez protection only because you've started doing the drunk walk off towards your doom.
