EDIT: Seriously tho... They're *okay* at 22 or so. But they really do start to lag behind again immediately Before then, and After too. And the whole reason is that KnockBack Fields just AREN'T practical and Force-Bubble comes way too late to be useful for a majority of the character's career. The Bubbler is basically Helpless if they want to do something more active to contribute to the team's DPS or survival against multiple foes. It's the same reason everyone respec'd out of Whirlwind in issue-6 or whenever it was changed. Proposal: Instead of making KB-fields do INSTANT knockback.. make them do a Pure Melee +DEF buff like Invincible does, or a Melee-only -ToHit Debuff /w a random chance of KnockBack similar to Hurricane. ( ...that way, they can be slotted with -KB AND -ToHit procs to contribute more DPS to the Team) without scattering melee mobs to the 4 corners of every room, or affecting mobs that attack /w Ranged. -

It's not WoW that's the problem on these sites b/c most of the community is as turned off by it as we all are. But beating Eve-online on MMORPG.com? Haw Haw, yeah right. The whole site's basically run by those lamers. They fix it to sweep most categories EVERY year. (Yes, they literally fix it, both in the Voting process, and through voter recruitment) -
Right, that's my Point. I don't mind if the Blaster is one of the best players on the Server... he'll do that kinda thing anyway whether he has 220% DEF or 0%. My Problem is that a FotM Fire/EM can get buffed to the Gills and walk in and Farm the team's squishiest d00de without ever dying or being held himself. This is extremely Problematic for Villains who can't counter the levels of Unresistable damage and Accuracy that FotM has access to via Buff/Range stacking. The only guy on their Team who should be able to walk right into a Hornet's nest like that and live should be the Tanker, who DOESN'T have access to any form of unresistable damage, meaning the opposing team still has time to react. This is the central argument for why Casual's are excluded from most PvP, b/c they can't react fast enough to do anything besides get Farmed while also lacking the Gear/Skill to kill the other team's Spikers. Guildwars and other well balanced PvP games DON'T allow this kind of BS...even when the "Spiking" Class has huge amounts of Blocking or Armor, they're still vulnerable to a ton of other counters (Stripping, Conditions, Hexes, Energy Denial, Etc.)

I'd be happy with just those... It wouldn't fix the arena problems, but it would still address most of the "LoL PvP" mentality and cynicism this community has had to adopt.
There's still the matter of AT balance though that NEEDS to be addressed in order to curtail FotM's at different levels of PvP interaction. IE:
<ul type="square">[*]Stalkers and Blasters are the Burst damage AT's, and as such, should have REAL VULNERABILITIES in teams. IE: lower Defense, -KB, & StatusProtect caps than any of the other Archetypes. Scaling by level of course... but something needs to be done to encourage players to play more than just Spikers in PvP. Unstoppable Spiker FotM's are the #1 reason that casual players avoid PvP...no one ENJOYS getting farmed over and over again by the same damn TankMage![*]Brutes should get a LARGE fury bonus based on the duration of every Taunt they cast. You can't "fix" Fury with traditional means, no opponent is stupid enough to intentionally HELP a brute build fury... you can only piggyback off the Dominator PvP-Inherent system and apply it to something non-DPS based like Taunt.[/list] -
Dear Devs:
Plz add a Nerf-Button option to that web-screen. ...It doesn't actually have to do anything as long as people still *think* it will do something. Then instead of coming -->here<-- to complain about people they fight with in-game, they can just go to that character's page and take out their frustrations. I feel this will cut down nearly 30% of the useless traffic on the main forums .... especially in the PvP, Blaster, Stalkers, and <general>Archetype forum. -

Even IF that was the case, then it's not from villains in general being more powerful. It's that same frikkin Dead horse of all the Heroes being nothing but Scrappers and n00b Blasters all coming in to compete for that 1 kill on the only Dom or Corruptor who was brave enough to wander in... while not being able to see all the Stalkers b/c none of these Brainiac heroes thought to ever roll a Sonic or Empath defender and actually TEAM UP.
We "villains" on Freedom don't have that problem. Freedom villains will team up in PvP at the drop of a hat and bring a good mix of Doms, MM's, and Corrs whenever possible. There isn't as much of this "nothing but Stalkers" bull that always happens in lower populated servers. The only time Heroes ever wise up and do the same, is when their Organized PvP SG's walk in and utterly decimate the entire zone b/c Hero buff-bots always trump Villain teams. ...Hell, I saw someone who was still in TRIBUTE yesterday in the middle of the day there. ...WTH is up with that? Who cares, cuz the point is the Heroes are all Team-Support characters and they get what's coming to them [u]on the datamining[u] against mass-Stalkers when they fail to recognize "their place" in a---> BALANCED Team. -

I think you have a good list in general, but I have to say Stalkers don't suck at PvE. They suck at GROUP PvE. But I found my Stalker did better than most groups unless they were organized people used to playing with each other. I'd just do kill missions on max level, invis to the end, kill the guy, collect reward.

Well lemme tell ya something then as someone who solo'd Defenders and Controllers ever since issue-1: Just like how the PvP game isn't balanced for Solo.... well... Neither is the PvE game. They *tried* to get closer but some builds are still Overpowered at it while others go through theirs slower than pig snot in cornstarch. Stalkers are still -->Slower<-- than MM's and Brutes in solo PvE making it clear that they've always been designed as the Premiere Solo-PvP "toon". ...Literally a toon, a 1-sided 1 trick pony for no real reason at all. They sure don't help us Villains in Team PvP or make our faction anymore endearing to people who've considered playing villains but don't like the non-cooperative backstabbing killstealing nature they see presented in BB & Siren's every day. IE: Stalkers are a P.R.-Disaster for CoV and need to be changed before Faction Vs Faction will ever attract more casual players and keep the sides fair and equal. -

#1: PvP = TL;DR ...Arena_PvP = TL;DR x 10. Everyone's gotta make up stupid rules and argue FOREVER about WHAT'S GOOD [censored] & WHAT'S REALLY GOOD?? Newbs can't test random builds @ 50, this puts a MASSIVE gate and "reading curve" on all Arena competition. For crying out loud, make PvP simpler and more accessible to ALL players.
#2: REWARD players for taking time away from PvE & leveling. Time spent PvP'ing is time LOST and NEVER REGAINED in this mmoRPG. Devs can start with awarding rare Recipes for PvP'ing considering what a massive impact those same recipes are having on the Metagame of PvP itself.
#3: Stalkers... They LITERALLY scare casual players AWAY from PvP b/c they're way too Binary in lowby (introductory) PvP zones while suffering greatly for it in PvE. The way Perception/AI is handled in this game needs to be MASSIVELY reworked. Show outlines or sound FX from invisible players whether we can target them or not...there's GOT to be some kind of WARNING there, not just total silence followed instant-death.
#4: The other Travel Powers aren't underpowered, it's SUPERJUMP that's OVERPOWERED! *JOUST, JOUST ,JOUST* ...Why else does every single serious PvP'er use it? I'm the only person I've ever seen come to a PvPeC event with a Flying corruptor/damage-dealer. Good lord, it's Horizontel velocity cap is the same as Superspeed, almost 2x what Fly is. Meanwhile Teleport animates WAAAAY too slowly to PvP with. But Don't buff the other Travel powers, just bring SuperJump in line with the rest of them.
#5: Why do all the damage dealers have such ridiculously-high Status, Defense, and -KB-protection Caps? They're the same as Tankers. ...So why ever take Tankers/MM's or Brutes into PvP then if the Blappers & Stalkers can be buffed INTO tankers??? This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a PvP game seriously. Don't nerf the Buffs and Buff-Stacking... just assign more Reasonable and THEMATIC buff-Caps to the Proper AT's so that there will actually be some Diversity in the Arena.
#6: Read the last 5 again cuz I don't NEED 5 more to make a top-ten out of. ...I'll say it again---> TL;DR. PvP shouldn't require this much explanation. It should be intuitive and Fun for everyone, not just fun for the damned Minmaxxing Gank-Festers. ArenaNet got it right the first time!, there's no excuse now that Jack is out of the picture and NC Soft is in full control!! -

I don't believe for a SECOND that him and LR(Minus LR's ZOMG POWER TOWERS buffs) are evenly matched rivals after doing that SF from hell. Killin the other AV's around him was the easy part. Takin him down with that Lightning crap blasting out every 5 seconds is just unreal...I've taken down Lusca with smaller less-optimum teams. -

If ya want a "community" ..well RO is a very large community indeed, however picking 1 "community leader" would be very difficult. ...and you'd get 12 different candidates depending on what issues/events were brought up. Its also a community that largely began to avoid these forums for most of this year, probably for the same basic reasons that most of the Cryptic devs have always avoided it. Hope that won't be an issue tho and that *someone* can be appointed from it to help you out here.

Plz Save the CoV thread concerning the Black-Market.... and DON'T move it into the Market forum either plz, We've already got a different one there too and they both have definite and distinguishing nuances that qualify them for the 2 separate forums they're already in. (IE: one concerning DropRates/Prices, the other Concerning population and CONTENT).
