Edit 2: It also says in the picture "Smokin Joe has defeated Outcast Initiate Slugger" so it has to be Hollows. Most definetly busted! :-) -

That doesn't work too well if you're trying to make a story about CoT, Banished Pantheon etc though, and want to include their gods in the text somewhere.

Will we be getting free tailor tokens this issue as well? Could really use some to customize the powers in all those slots...

Which is bit of a deal-breaker for some powerset combinations when it comes to epic powers. For example ice/ice/ice and fire/fire/fire tankers and blasters, or dark/dark/dark defenders or scrappers. Only being able to color 2/3 of the pools breaks the theme feel of the characters. For me that means that some of my characters wont be customizing their powers until they can go all-out there.

Also, Re: No Bosses option - I read that to mean "Bosses spawn as Lieutenants" similar to the option to spawn AVs as EBs, but I could very well be wrong. I also wouldn't at all be surprised if it was nullified by the team size slider.
That said, with Going Rogue still in the works, they have to sort something out for the villains that crosses over and wont have access to the patrons. Guess we'll see how it turns out when I16 goes into Open Beta. -
Yes, but perhaps the rest wasn't finished yet then and/or they want to save some surprises for articles such as this one and open beta. I'm still cautiously optimistic.

I don't see this as a problem if only the server lists (not the servers themselves) were merged. As it is now, the same name can be used on all 4 EU servers without any problems or name modifications (like Arctic Man-Defiant, Arctic Man-Union etc). Shouldn't make any difference to character names if there's 4, 11 or 15 different servers to chose from in the list when you log in.

I'd like to see a version of munitions mastery (for both defenders and blasters) that uses a bow instead of assault rifle to fire grenades and such. Or just an alternate animation (like martial arts and super strength get) where you throw the grenade instead of using a weapon to launch it. Just something that fits better with using a bow as primary weapon.

Considering that there's only room for 4 ancillary/patron powers (taken at level 41, 44, 47 & 49) adding a 5th power to each pool doesn't mean extra slots will be needed. All it does is offering you more choice on which powers to pick.

Nah, dont believe the 'i want to be hidden' stuff.
That said, all my characters (currently ranging between level 33 and 40 heroside on Defiant and 16-20 villainside on Union) are hidden and has been for years. Those have real names though, as well as costumes and are all in my personal SGs (one on each side/server).
I'm soloing 99% of the time or so, and found all the blind invites back when I started annoying - especially since some people back then (no names since that would be against the forum rules but one of them was a fairly well known and disliked player) wouldn't take no for an answer. I'd decline, then 1-2 minutes later another invite from the same person would come. I'd decline again and send a tell that I wasn't interested. Then a few minutes later, yet another invite would come. It just got too much so I went on /hide as soon as I found out you could and been there since (I got my 48 month vet rewards this week). -

One of the first things I did when the forums came back (other than fixing my avatar) was to disable my reputation. I think that the rep system will eventually (when it's clear to the community people that it isn't working as inteneded) be disabled, just like the star system on the old boards.

I agree here. The other day I was sent on a mission deep into Crey's Folly (over 1 mile in, into the red marked area) on a level 32 character. Mission door had at least 2-3 purple freakshow bosses outside. Possibly more - I didn't exactly stay to count them...

I don't mind missions being pretty much the same (unless it's against enemies I do poorly against) - as long as I take down the enemies at a decent pace and earn xp it's all good. All the travel can be annoying for sure though. That's why I hop into PvP zones (very empty on my server, even more so since I13) and RWZ post level 35 every now and then and do mission after mission for an hour or two.

I'd like to see something for archery (which isn't in the list of powersets that you can customize). The bows and such can be changed already, but it would be neat if the color of fire (for blazing arrow and exploding arrow) could be adjusted as well. Same thing goes for other weapon powersets with effects.

Sounds nice. Still hoping that defenders will some day get Cold Mastery to fit Cold Domination/Ice Blast that they got in the first round of proliferation (when scrappers got their firey melee/firey aura) though.
