    Cheers for the replies shannon/kraver youve both given me ideas.
    Kraver your right about burn and what with what andy said about LBE i may try a build on test with burn instead of LBE, it could come in handy against multi immob stackers.

    Shannon, conusme, i agree with you i could drop from the pre 30 build tbh, iirc my original PVP spec i had when i was 35 (went back to pve when i decided i wanted it 50) dint have consume in sirens and i seemed to do ok, I reckon i could hold it off to lvl 32 basically id be taking provoke instead of consume at lvl 8 and intimidate at lvl 24 leaving me with consume at lvl 32. I also now agree with the fear slotting, tbh SS has some slow rech powers so having them feared longer is more advantages to me, and meh tohit debuffs? what was i thinking, im a tank i have HP

    Ty for the reply Andy, yeah looking at the taunts i kinda agree, also kinda important they hit.
    Forgot to put 3 X DAM/RANGE HOs in Hurl, but ta for bringing that bit up
    The fear thing, my planner shows it as taking to-hit debuff but from previous experience I thought it didnt...anyone able to confirm if the Pool Power intimidate takes debuffs?

    With my tank nearing Lvl 50 ive decided I want to respec it on live to a PVP build. Ive build it to perform solo or teamed in Zones (the lack of +per till RV does not bother me I hope not to be standing around long enough for stalkers to repeatedly AS me) And teamed Arena PVP hence the 2 taunts.
    Id appreciate it if you people could look at the build and critique especially other fire tanks tho all help is welcome.
    EDIT: I hope to also when i sort some respecs out to add an extra acc in attacks using HO ACC/dam. tho i think i should get by with just 1 v most foe

  5. /psi has a very nice fast animating longish range attack chain....not many ATs can face a RAD/PSI and come away with a win

    Need abit more info really before anyone can make any real suggestions...
    For example.
    1. do u mean solo tank or teamed?
    3. Do u want to hold the agro or scrank?
    3. errr cant think of 3 but u get the idea if u can post a little more info u may get some better replys as there is prob a ultimate fire/fire build but it can be different depending on what u want to do with it.
  10. Well if this was my tank i would get consume alot lot earlier, infact as soon as it is avail, there will be times when the fire/emp will not be able to supply u with RA/AB.
    Next i would make acrobatics more of a priotity than stamina and get it at lvl 20, aim to have stamina tho in the next few lvls.
    As mentioned b4 uve gone 47 lvls without taunt, if youve managed this far why bother?
    Finally you mentioned youve picked burn because the controller can immob them, so im assuming u like high damage output, if so i would aim for Fireball from the pyre mastery epics, this wil greatly improve your aoe output.

    Personally I woulddrop Fire sword completely and Put in healing flames in its place, Next i would drop weave completly allowing you to put acrobatics in its place thus allowing u to fit in stamina at lvl 22.
    I would also try and get in consume in as early as possible, maybe by taking the fighting pool a little later and aiming for tough before lvl 30.
    Finally for the epics unless you solo mainly i would steer away the conserve and aim for the pyre mastery pool, picking up char/fire blast and fire ball, combined with fiery embrace / FSC / combustion / fire ball you will find you are arresting most groups with some end left and if it looks like u may run out hit consume for a full end bar again.
    Note this ismy pve experience and i cant recall eva taking my fire tank to PVP so different Epics for certain maybe better.
  12. Id agree with Jiaozy if you want to gather agro Prye mastery is the only way to go, Fire ball is gr8 way of grabbing it

    I dont think its totally down to the tanks. Nowadays it seems teams wont give you just even 2 secs to consolidate the agro b4 they begin there AoEs.

    Do you know what EMP and pool powers you definately want? or should i say how many attack powers can you fit into a planned build? I ask this as with Docs present build He has all empathy powers and only 3 Psi attacks Mental blast (the standard one) psionic lance (can be useful on blasterless teams for a snipe) and Psi wail ( it can be boring being the healer sometimes pls let me nova) tho during other builds i have had most powers from the set at somepoint and given a respec would more than likely change my powers about a little.
    Also knowing wether you Solo sometimes or team only maybe useful on chosing which powers are better than others.

This change tbh only slightly affects my tactics, i mean with a merc/ff it takes (what seems like) at least 2 mins to buff up my pets, if i chose to sit in pff and let the pets do the work ( which sometimes when heavily outnumbered maybe the ony way) i was never likiely to drop PFF where i was to pet/buff up again, i would normally move to safe/clear part to do this. So by time ive done this PFF will still be ready.
    If i chose not to sit in PFF and am attacked to the point i think oh **** im gonna die and hit it well it either stays on till i feel im safe or they knock it off and im dead anyway.
    Prolly just my s*** tactics but really bleh doesnt seem enough if they truly wanted to nerf it imo. Perhaps a better way would have been if you activate PFF none of your pets could attack either and to have kept the rech the same, that imo would have stopped the drone hugging PFF'd MMs you sometimes see.

The way I understood is that he ment a Fire tank CANT tank with out Acro/tough theyre just to weak so have to dip into these pools just to survive where as certain other tanks namely stone dont necessarily have to obviously i wouldnt reccomend a stoney not to pick to hasten but it is possible to tank with out it just not so well.

    Spad FYI i find weave is useless on my fire tank and just have tough, this may not be wise numberwise i have no idea but my tank performs well enough without it.

    I personnally think Best Tank can be more easily defined more by what its secondary is than its primary. I will try and give an example...
    Take stone a permy granite one
    Give it say mace....
    Ok u have a tough tank tho you will have the enemy pounding on u alot of thge time
    Now take a stone/ice tank with ice patch u can all but half the amount of them pounding on you therefore increasing the effectivnous of your ability to survive.

    Now depending on you interpret Tankiness, and in my opinion its the ability to hold and negate damage, therefore the stone/ice wins tankability handsdown.
    i would say any tank with ice as a secondary is gonna be more Tanky than the others.

    Im sorry if what im trying to say has come out not very clear, i have in my mind what im meaning to say buit im not sure if the words have come out right

AP imo AP is a gr8 power i rarely have problems with it, i dont use it as a primary heal but if someone is deep in the red and i have just used heal other BANG i can use AP then if i feel that it may cause me to die i drop back a few feet, still in range for heal other as this has by now recharged, if i find that the team as a whole is getting hurt i can still run in and heal aura then even dropping regen Aura if i find it nesecarry to heal myself and then maybe move back till the effect wares off.
    Basically what im trying to say is there really isnt a problem with AP just maybe how you judge when to use it. I would reccomend any one take it for that situational last gasp heal.
