Kings Row is just another part of the city.

Occasional rain, as just a random weather effect, would be fine -- for any zone.

And yes, the existing KR contacts could be nuked from orbit and that would be okay, provided the old ones remained available in Ouroboros.
They didn't want to break anything trying to make the Talos war walls red on the portion that borders Dark Astoria.

  3. Most likely I'll hit up Belladonna's new incarnate arc before the big magsterium run in the afternoon. Then after that is done, probably hop to my Beast mastermind to head into night ward. He's just on the cusp of 29 I think, just finished First Ward and finally got his alignment confirmed and ran the first 2 SSAs.

Oh yeah, if the Pandora's Box SSA opens I'll probably run that too.

So it wasn't one last hurrah for Statesman, it's a statement of how the devs have murdered and replaced him. I see how it is.

That could be asked of any old system though. Why revamp a zone, why revisit gravity, etc. The devs already have their priorities in order, trying to second guess that and not suggesting things based on it it just silly.

Preferably I'd like to see a 2nd round of adding to the power pools, like they did with the travel powers. Not just medicine but stealth, presence, leadership, etc.

Though we know they're working on a new power pool with 'Sorcery'.

And Bill, justify it how you like. It's pointless, you're just nitpicking over one thing he mentioned. Just drop it already, we don't care who is bigger between you two.

    Medicine pool

Can't say it'd really be worth the time. Bill would still be on his case for no good reason.

It's too late to 'tweak' the pool though, switching power orders is very rarely done for good reason. At this point they'd just add a 5th power of some kind.

Which I don't see as a problem. As was pointed out, we have alternate methods of healing, so how 'broken' would it be at this point in the life of the game if people could choose a self heal without wasting a power pick?
  11. Agent White

    Medicine pool

I kind of disagree. The self target should be before the heal other.

I'd rather just see the medicine pool expanded to add a 5th power like they did with all the travel powers so you can pick from the first 3 powers.

they've all been useful, just differently to different folks. Anyone packing a self rez doesn't need the temp, just like someone only playing a 50 doesn't need an xp booster.

A rather large percentage of self-identified gay men have had heterosexual encounters in their youth.
I first read that as 'exploded' their other side.
  14. ...because the pacts allow you to acrue XP for someone while they're offline? Nothing else in the game does that. They're not for equalizing XP while you're actively playing, they're for letting someone not have to play catch up.

Not that I hope the LP doesn't return, just curious as to why it matters.
the gap can be more than a few levels, for instance. And it's more like an aid to help friends. Like if they were still around I'd probably pact with a buddy of mine that only gets to hop on maybe once a week or so, whereas I'm on about every night or every other night, so it'd be less work for him to get to the same level and participate in say, Taskforces and SSAs, since they're all min. level locked, and eventually Incarnate stuff when he hits 50.

I dunno, cleaning up the vast wastelands, maybe trying to unburn the sky, recultivating the remaining flore and fauna. They had something like a couple centuries, instead they just farm humans and play games in the tunnels letting them rebuild Zion before trashing it and starting it over again.

Just saying, the machines don't seem like they did much better as the rulers of the planet.

Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with its surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply, and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we... are the cure."
Not that we really saw the machines taking care of the planet either.

A requirement for soft capping. Not everyone goes out of their way to max out their resists/defenses. Not everybody -needs- to, you're just -more- effective if you do.

Blasters get told to take pool powers to -be- effective.

    So Slooooooooow.

Yeah I'm kinda with Chaz. I've been waiting for I23 to drop and since its not til June I just haven't been that enthusiastic about playing. I've got a 48 I've been slowly chipping at to push to 50. But eh. So I've been poking at some of my other games, just beat Devil Survivor 2 for the first time (Totally fun).

Plus I think Madame Pistacio is away on vacay so she's not around to organize a lot of events.

My attempt on this was to get as much defense as I could manage while still getting respectable mez resistance, and I'd say it worked out fairly well. A few changes toward more defense or more resistance and I think a nice balance could be managed.

I can't imagine that removing inherent mez resistance from all ATs would be as dramatic as you want to believe. If there was no inherent mez protection for any AT, people would adapt to the methods that are available because they wouldn't really have a choice. Take it or die. As it stands now, they have the option to take it but choose not to because they feel it presents them with less optimal builds. They don't want to have to take two pre-requisite powers just to get Acrobatics (even though many of the high defense builds I've seen already take CJ).

For myself, having never really had a problem with my squishies and mez, removing all mez protection wouldn't change how I play at all. I'm a PvPer and have gotten very used to always being held by all mezzs, and have learned how to take advantage of the tools provided to us by the Devs.
You're completely missing the point. Any AT can hit 50 and fully IO out and incarnate up and avoid a lot of problems like Mez and squishiness.

That doesn't fix the problem of mez and being squishy on the way to 50. Not every player is going to sit and min/max their build. It doesn't do anything to help the average player running on SOs.

The 'max' bar doesn't have any major problems. Any AT is playable, functional, competitive, fun, etc when you can finally reach that level. But that's the problem with it. It's a destination, it's not solving any of the problems on the journey there.

The problem is the 'min' base. The bar for Blasters is set a fair bit lower than it is for other ATs and people want to raise that up.

Er, no. The Eltentowners and Carnival of Light are 'its allies' but far from the Resistance itself. Vanessa is the only prominent member of the Resistance, being it's mother. But it's very clear there's a big big disconnect among the groups and they're not all one and the same.
  22. Well that also crosses into whether things like the Crashless nukes need to be revised or if they're the bar that crashing nukes should look to.

  24. Just an off the top of my head thought. What about adding resistances to when they're mezzed? Not mezz resistance, but actual damage resistance? Say like 20% per stack of a power? So, lots of mezz happy critters would actually just be making it tougher to kill the blaster and just 1 mezz using boss would find the blaster less squishy?

Not a 'cure all' by any means, but seems like something that could go along with Defiance's 'act while mezzed'.
