Yes, absolutely, especially for sets like Tech Sleek, where in a black/white combination, it works better if the... lattice style parts are in black, rather than white.

Of course, there's ideas for other powers to match primary/secondary power sets, but there aren't many abilities about that'd fit into say, Sonic/Radiation Mastery. I just like having the option for APPs that fit with other elemental sets.
Edited to Add: No Villain stuff as there's the whole Patron thing, and that's a big kettle of fish to wrestle. -
Drop down menu at the bottom of the Stores screen, similar to the Hide Missing Recipes/Hide Unowned Recipes buttons.
Hide Dual Origin Enhancements
Why? Because when you go to a store in Talos/IP, these are still sold, which means a lot more scrolling.
Hide Unusable Enhancements
Stores that sell more than one origin type are a pain to scroll through to get to the ones you want. Stores like the Vanguard Quartermasters also have 35/40/45/50 Enhancements, which mean there are two sets to scroll through. Having the option of only usable enhancements showing removes clutter. -
Rushmore: How could I forget Rushmore? Brain fail. D: Jamie'll be there with Joanna, in a nice suit. Suits are cool this year. They're always cool. Chatting, eating, drinking, transforming to dance with H without being all ickle compared to her tallness. He'll even dance with Ryan!
-
I'm not. I live in a town on one of the branch lines coming into Norwich, which adds in travel time for that train and connections. I simply say I live in Norwich because A: Internet, and B: People don't really know where many other places are in Norfolk.
-
It's gonna cost me £70 to get down there for 6 hours, with 9 hours of train travel, so I think I'll skip, sorry.

Cindersnap: Socializing is the name of the game for the leader of the New Vigilants. That and dancing. Wandering about from group to group, he'll be chatting, joking and whisking whoever he can away to the dance floor. And keeping an eye out on his ward Cara too. When he's not downstairs, he's upstairs talking with people there.
Quickfrost: Jacob'll be keeping to upstairs mostly, venturing down just to check on things. And maybe... maybe... maaaaaaaybe ask Leannan and Annette to dance. Not at the same time. Checking up on his students too, just to make sure they're having fun. Other than that, he'll be found playing Rock Band. Man plays a mean plastic bass guitar.
Fusebox: Dancing, gaming and spending time with Tigergirl, as well as chatting to folks.
Jackal: Likely to be doing bombing runs of the snack tables to gather up chicken drumsticks and other meat based foods. Or found near Tabby chatting.
Sophie Reynalds: Isaac's busy working, so she's there with Juan to party, and show off her latest prom fashion creation. It's very... slinky. Likely to be trying to drag Thebe, Hot Wire and Air Razor out for dancing. -
Fudgenuggets. >< It's all this going to bed early, diet and exercise stuff. Bad for the brain.

Tomorrow (Friday 30th July) is the last day of term before the New Vigilants break up for the summer. The afternoon is set aside for the Graduation Ceremony in the lobby of Unity Tower, where those students leaving are honoured, with those parents able/willing to come invited to watch. A fair number of pupils are leaving this term, some having been there for just the one year, many though having been there for two.
There's also the promotions for some students who are going on to become Team Leaders, and those students who came to learn about their powers deciding to sign on as New Vigilant to learn the skills, techniques and tactics needed to hero.
Cindersnap, the 'head' of the school as it were, presents the ceremony along with the other tutors, giving out anecdotes, handshakes, a few hugs and the New Vigilant Graduation Ring, coming in a range of styles and designs to blend in more and be less conspicuous for those that may not want to advertise their gift as much.
There'll be refreshments of course, and afterwards a recess to allow people to chat before transport is arrange for those parents leaving then, and the hall is cleared for the evening. The reception desk is again the counter for the refreshments, among other tables. The sound systems and lightning are set up, as are some of the conference rooms above for the entertainment activities.
Upstairs is the option of computer gaming, chatting, more food, TV and generally a more relaxed and less 'prom-like' scene, while downstairs has the areas for dancing, partying and generally having a good time with music. Unless they're playing Rock Band upstairs of course. That also counts as a good time with music.
Of course, no alcohol is permitted, even for those students at 21. No way Ryan's going to let any chance of someone younger getting access to alcohol. Drugs are strictly disallowed, as is smoking. Even outside.
The food is to a high standard, as always, and it's not the pretentious kind either. Good, edible party fare, with a few touches of class here and there. Range of options too, with some tables set aside for those with allergies/dietary restrictions. The UV's vigilant androids and gynoids provide a watchful eye over these. The same goes for the soft drinks too.
Thanks to some sonic tech provided by the Lab Bunnies, there are four dance floors playing differing styles of music, with playlists displayed on large monitors above each area. In addition, the buffet area is music free to allow for talk while gathering/snacking, and there are areas to the sides of the dancefloors with seating provided.
Now, as I know some have an aversion to RP threads, I figure what can be done is people can simply post what their characters might be up to at the prom (or before, or even a few little stories) and then thrash things out on here with others for interactions. Nice and simple like. I'll get cracking on that soon for myself. -
Conga Rats, Tango mice and other celebratory rodents!

From my experience, ATI cards run pretty great now, running a 5770 HD here.

When I organized something like this, I got in contact with a local gaming cafe and asked about group bookings, gave the probable group size and asked about putting City of Heroes on, they were happy to do so themselves.
As for attendence, it depends on money, really. -
Rhode Island, not Road. And I think it's safe to assume that Paragon has them, just like it has faith buildings, an airport, suburbs and cinemas that are multiplexes instead of old style.

Brawl at Japanese Music Club
Sunday 25th, Paragon Times.
Last night at around 2140 Japanese music and culture club Haven J was subject to property damage as a fight broke out. Police arrested fourteen individuals on drugs related charges. Eyewitnesses state that the group were celebrating graduation before several expressed metahuman abilities and began to damage the building. The police arrived and were assisted in the arrest by three off-duty heroes including local musician and DJ Ron Himezaki, also known as 'The Lyrical Cyclone'. Haven J will be closed while repairs take place. -
Quote:When I was making Rushmore, I thought of one thing. And then we've got Rushmore. Rushmore is one of Zortel's characters on Union. He's been given the Power of America, by America herself, and is rapidly (well, Z's got bad altitis, it's not that rapid) becoming Superman.
Rushmore is a great character and a really great hero. He has the absolutely best 'bad' villains. He defeats demons attacking the Statue of Liberty by facing them down in a rock-off. He works in Mighty Mart and has a cute girlfriend (who's a Warshade).
Being a hero so does not suck for Rushmore. Yes, he does it because America chose him to do it, so he feels responsible, but he generally has a pretty good time of it.
And if Z were to actually do anything bad to Rushmore (not that I think she would), the Union RP community would collectively lynch her. No one wants Rushmore to fail.
Exceptions... always exceptions...
"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
Jamie Mathews is a patriot. He loves his nation. Now, he's not a blind patriot, he knows there's issues with it, he knows they've done shady and bad things in the past. But he loves his country. He was born on Independence Day!
So on a fateful school trip to Mount Rushmore, when the Spirit of America appeared before him and offered him the chance, and the powers to do for his country what his comic book heroes did? He leaped at the chance. He's famous there. Sure, his villains aren't quite the threat that they are in Paragon City, but they were still villains.
Captain Apathy has the ability to make people not bother to arrest him. (Rushmore once stated that he got home and put the football on before realising he had to go back out and stop Apathy.) ((And yes, that is American Football.))
Communist Manyfisto and the Red Glare are frequent thorns in his side. After all, a propoganda sprouting four armed martial artist and someone who fires red beams from his Marxivisor against America's hero? They're drawn to him!
Ad Liberace is a master __________, ad-libber and rather _________. He plays a mean _________ too.
His biggest threat from back home then is his counterpart. As tall, as blonde, as Patriotic...
It's Confederacy Caroline. Empowered by the (Waning) spirit of the Confederate States. But even then they mostly just squabble. Caroline actually likes Jamie out of powers mode, but when they go Patriotic, old grudges die hard.
In Paragon, he brings to fights what he did back home. Someone who's strong, tough, and who won't give up. He'll always do what he has to, his girlfriend's fine with that, and while he may be a little bit of a goofball at times, serious Rushmore is serious. He faces his problems, but they're your regular ones. Feeling like a small fish in a big pond at first moving, girlfriend issues (Well, more nuts Warshades occupying Joanna's time and keeping her from coming to Memorial Day celebrations with him back home with his parents, and working at Mighty Mart. It results in him getting jingles from training videos stuck in his head.)
Rushmore does what he does because he loves his country, loves what he does, and the day he seriously felt like a burden, he'd be off to talk to America for some advice.
And he's half a level from 48 now! I just want to see what those new costumes are from the GR Complete collection pack to see if I can give him a new suit for 50.
Anyway, long rambling aside, I think it depends on the hero, and the heroes dealing with mundane things I find to be quite enjoyable.
Because even Heroes get stuck on hold when their toaster breaks.
(PS. A while back, one of my heroes, considered a 'mutant' by most but more of a chemically induced mutant, had his girlfriend leave him, after her parents drummed into her it wasn't right to be dating him.
Not because he was a mutant.
Not because he was a hero.
Because he was black.
How about them apples?) -
Quote:I like your gut feeling, je_saist.on second thought, what I was going to type here would probably have to be deleted according to forum rules... so I'll try to keep this neutrally stated as possible:
It has been indicated in the past that certain development houses and marketing arms of certain publishers have paid for direct marketing in a competitors product. The method of this paid marketing in some cases followed a pattern where the hired-marketing personal purchases a competing software product, engages in the use of that competing software product, then uses the communication systems of that competing product to disparage, demean, insult, or other-wise inflict intentional harm to the competing products usage base. The method is considered successful if the marketing-personal succeeds in driving the existing user-base of that competing product to look at the product the marketing-personal has been hired to indirectly promote.
My gut reaction is that anybody stating that Going Rogue will fail as a software product release, at this point in time, is possibly one of these types of marketing personal.
I for one cannot wait to lap up everything GR chucks at me, and on the 17th will be ready to purchase the Complete Edition Pack too for the extra stuff. I also think the person the OP argued with is a few blades short of a server rack.
If they've even been near one. -
Hmm, the panel was at 1230, it's 1440 now, who must I track down and consume their brains for the precious knowledge gleaned?
... Wait, if I could track down and consume brains, I could have gone to SDCC anyway. Still, eagerly looking forwards to news from the floor. -
If it were for mission completion also, I'd give a bit more of a hoot about it.
-
I just bought and downloaded the album from Amazon.co.uk.
'Welcome to Nova Praetoria' from around 2:25 onwards rocks my world. Seriously, I've been having writers block lately, and this makes me want to get writing about all the character ideas I've had!
The only thing that could make the soundtrack even more awesome? Get Jeremy Soule on the job, the guy behind the Guild Wars soundtrack, among others. He brought us the awesome track 'Tome of Rubicon', the Dwarf theme from Guild Wars: Eye of the North.
PS, please give CoH/V some music love now too. -

Lastly Windows XP is dead and obsolete. So I don't even consider it. I play CoX on Win7 X64 ultimate. But yes, MS did prevent anything beyond DX9 on XP. And yes if you want to go around than you can use opengl. IMO no point XP is dead and needs to be buried.

The Free National Rail Timetable app too. Simply switch on mobile internet, and just like that you get access to the departure times from the station nearest you, or from any other station, along with real time updates of delays. Supports YouTube and Flash, unlike some phones, and it's just so...
So pretty. So sleek. I never thought I'd want to get a smart phone, until I got one of these. -
Anything that brings in characters from the utterly awesome Freedom Phalanx novel gets a huge thumbs up with me, as does anything that revamps the TF's. Can't wait to see the next part (and I'd certainly play it.)
-
Get yourself an HTC Desire, my good man. I love mine, and she loves me. The camera's pretty great on it too, I use mine for some Urbex photography of pillboxes, came out peachy.

I -think- there is a jacket missing, but I can't for the life of me remember. It kind of looked like a cross between the Motorcycle and Racer Jacket, done up to about the middle of the chest.
