Quote:I see it the same way, but take it a step farther. SOs (just as TOs and DOs) just aren't worth it since they expire in a few levels. I go straight for the regular IOs when my characters get to level 22 (because pre-level 25 IOs are just too weak). It's a bit more expensive for sure, but worth it in the long run.TOs and DOs really arent worth what you pay for them, though. At TO levels, you do level fast enough that its only really worth slotting drops. DOs cost is so much so that, unless you have a few recipes to sell, a level 50 to dump cash from, or shear good luck, by the time you've got to the point you can slot a character with level 15 DOs, they are now level 16.

Not to sound bitter, but Union got this, and Union got the rikti event. There is an EU server called Defiant too...

Quote:I've always thought that one year's Baby New Year is the next year's Father Time, passing on the mantle to a new Baby New Year...Captain New Year:
Growing up as the Baby New Year is a hard life. Constant harassment by Red Caps and a never ending youth can drive a soul to dark places.
During a particularly bad holiday season the poor child had enough of it and in a fit of rage left Father Time for Paragon City, forsaking his immortality to be free of the never ending torment.
Time went on without the Baby and soon time took hold and for the first time in centuries he finally began to age like a normal human. -
Quote:Considering that GhostRaptor (former EU community member) was laid off on redunandcy back in April 2009 when they closed the Brighton office (and moved Avatea to the states) I'm not sure what to make of this. Did you mean GhostFalcon (the producer)?Bugs or exploits can be addressed to GhostRaptor

If they do break tails off from the belts, they've better make them work with capes, wings etc or my demon is going to be very unhappy.

Jetpacks as *costume pieces*. If it can work for rocket boots etc (animates when you fly, but doesn't give you the inherrent ability to do so) it should work for jetpacks costume pieces too.

A few of these are in the game too. One that especially annoys me is the radio mission that says that one enemy group or another is threatening to blow up a building (or whatever) unless one of "they're" leaders is freed from the Zig.

I have completely given up on TOs, DOs and SOs now and make use of standard IOs instead. I try to get by without enhancements (best I can) until level 22 because the early IOs (level 10, 15 & 20) are so weak they'd have to be replaced fairly soon anyway. It's a bit expensive for sure, but I've had my higher level characters (that did use TOs, DOs & SOs* because that's all there was at the time) support the newer ones.
*And I sometimes bought the wrong ones too. -
Quote:Thanks for clearing that up.Yep, you're wrong.
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page and http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page both link to the exact same site.
The 'bad' site is the one at Wikia which is sparsely updated and allows ads and has various other issues. -

Quote:You mean like this? http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/n..._man/COH01.jpgBut... I'm very partial to play Dominatrix. Whip, outfit and D.

Me neither, which is why I gave up on gold last year, turned down my graphics settings and used Fly to navigate through the course. Got my bronze and silver at least. This was with characters at level 40/upper 30s. A level 50 character (with higher speed cap for fly) might have a shot at gold, but not sure.

Nemesis, because he has a hand in everything that goes on in the city and a huge army of followers

Okay. I've never done a respec trial (most of my characters have 4 respecs from the veteran rewards and the free ones sitting unused), Hamidon raid or any of the high-end TFs/SFs since I'm mostly soloing.

Quote:Another I can think of is "Some missions have a reward choice table at the end. Make sure you read all the options carefully before deciding."
To my knowledge all of those have been replaced with merits instead, with one exception (Baby New Year mission). I could be wrong though.
Edit: Then there's this: "PvP, Hazard, and Trial Zones have a minimum level required to enter." -
Quote:I kind of like it that way. I never really liked the blue tint of plasma shield, so I changed it to a more fiery colour the first chance I got. That reminds me - about the only problem I can think of with the new custom colours is that several powers have IDENTICAL effects, which in the original powersets were different in colour only. Since people tend to make all their powers the same colour, you end up with multiple powers that all look identical. For instance, two fire shields you can't tell apart. It's not problematic in a practical sense, but it just looks bad.

Remains to be seen if EU will get a box this time though. Architect Edition was download only on the EU side.

Quote:Some of the NPCs around train stations still talk about the station in Croatoa being re-opened "recently".But some changes over-time would be nice. There are certainly things that have been left as they were when the game/thing came out. Some NPC in PD said only the other day;
"So, come here often? Oh, silly me, it's new isn't it?"
Uhm...not for a while now, chum -
I've never managed to get any degree of control when sliding (I stank at it, honestly) so last year I just turned graphic settings down (to reduce lag a bit) and used Fly to move through the gates. Wasn't quite fast enough for gold, but I did manage silver and bronze (and it was much less stressful). Works best if the character is in the upper 30s or higher with capped or near-capped fly speed for his/her level. It's possible that a level 50 (with higher cap) could get gold but I have so many alts that I've not gotten there yet.

Quote:I agree that having AE buildings all over the place is a bit much (they even had one in Croatoa while I14 was in testing) but sometimes they have their (probably unintended) uses. The one in Brickstown came in handy for me while I was doing ToT on my squishy characters. I called my strategy "Crone meets Drone".AE really was totally overblown (a building in EVERY ZONE?!? really??) so as to give it maximum visibility. Then when people found they could exploit farming inside of AE, the city zones emptied and everyone went to the "favorite" AE building ... while all the other buildings were left as vacant as the arenas (still) are.
I think one AE building per level range (from level 6 and up) would be enough. So maybe have buildings in Kings Row, Skyway, IP, Brickstown and PI, and a co-op one in Pocket D. Don't play my villains often enough to know what zones would be good to cover most level ranges there. -
I've noticed this too. I've set the difficulty on most of my characters to -1 so I can blow through the missions faster (quantity over quality, and shorter time between mission complete bonus), and still mostly see enemies at my own level.
