Nope. Just established costumes from the comics.

"Customize your character with a library of costumes from Marvel’s rich history"
That means reskins of their characters. No personal characters. -
Marvel Now is about to rejumble the entire comic line up. Hard to call that a jump-on point, but it is a major event.

I think they worry about loosing what little in-game purchases they still have left.
-
"they haven't said that you cannot make your own characters in the game, have they?"
Yes they have said exactly that. Many have gone on to say that this is because people will only make Marvel clone characters if given the opportunity. -
UPDATE: I got one "like" from my post and it was from...MARVEL HEROES!
-
On the Marvel Heroes FB page.
"i still dont understand why people think playing as existing Marvel Heroes is such a bad thing"
I posted this in response...
"By being able to create you own characters, you create your own stories with in the Marvel Universe, with you as the lead character. This is YOUR marvel Universe where you can be more heroic as Captain America or more sinister than Doom. Imagine them look at you with respect or fear as their equal or even their superior. Haven't you had an idea for a superhero, but you couldn't draw? Imagined what powers he would have? Imagine that character come to life and a part of the Marvel adventure!"
I wanted to be clear why Marvel made a mistake with going with a Diablo 3 clone in their new "MMO". -
I hoped that Marvel would create an MMO in the style between COH and DCUO with a costume creator, game play of CoX with the scale and iconic locations of DCUO. Unfortunately, they created Ultimate Alliance Online.
-
Be a good time for Marvel to pick up a real MMO.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! I haven't found anything to replace this game!!! Where else can I be my own superhero????!

Thanks for helping out the Euros!

Quote:...or you could, I don't know, just have the new model appear in your hand. So, what you're trying to say is that you want to increase the activation time of every assault rifle power by about half a second (due to redraw) purely for your visual entertainment.
While being able to choose individual weapon models for individual attacks definitely would be a neat idea, it'd also be a stupid idea and you would quickly wish you hadn't done so the fiftieth time you have to swap your flamethrower for your shotgun. -
-
Devs! Either do it or exit the pot! This is a great idea that has been collecting dust here for years now!
-
Way back in the early days of weapons customization, the hope was that power like AR would be able to choose a different weapon skin for each power. This would open the door for a flamethrower for "Flamethrower", a shotgun for buckshot, and so on. I know there were technical issues with this back then, but I would think (read: hope) those issues have been resolved since then.

Weapons-out stance in the character selection screen. I would love to see the weapon my characters wield when I select them.

I find it a stretch to say that just because we can't self-buff like in comics, it's because of some arbitrary issue of translating comics to games. Especially in this game, adding a self-buff aspect to team-buff powers would just be a matter of making it cost more in endurance, since END seems to be the currency of Defenders if you consider Vigilance.

I know he a little perturbed, but level 50s all over Sharkshead is really over doing it! Just getting to missions is a suicide mission.
