I love Super Robot Wars! Gaogaigar's Broken Magnum is probably my favourite.

If only Robot Masterminds could select Rocket punches as an alternate animation for the energy cannons. Oh well, one can dream...

    Action Figures!

I'd happily pay good money for a Ghost Widow figure.
  5. At the behest of a friend I downloaded the NA version back in 2005 and joined him on Pinnacle. With the release of CoV I found myself on Virtue and I've been here ever since.
  6. Strange, it's every other server...the status page looks like The Idiot's Guide to Copulation.

Since there are so many 'Evil Twins,' I'd love to see alternate incarnations of characters like Captain Mako or Nemesis.

Can you imagine what a heroic doppelganger of Lord Recluse would be like? I imagine he could don the guise of a cute, fuzzy tarantula.
  8. All this talk of whips has me wondering if we'll see some animated tails become available.

    Maybe in the 'Mutant' Booster?
  9. This thread has some wonderful designs!

    I should probably contribute. ^_^

    Jolly good show, eh what?

A good friend (originally from Rhode Island) persuaded me to try CoH back in 2005. He was on the Pinnacle server and I've been with the US servers ever since, though I migrated to Virtue about a year after City of Villains appeared.

I've never heard any comment about my (sometimes quite old-fashioned) 'British' English, though they may just have been giggling from behind their keyboards.

I agree entirely! If cold logic and reason was the only precept for language we would probably all be talking in binary by now.
Ultimately, we all understand each other and that is the most important thing.

A fine example of my homeland making a poor choice while the united states made a good one is 'mobile phone.' The US uses 'cellphone' from cellular and this is a sensible choice.
The phones do not hover in the air and follow you around of their own volition, they do not have little wheels and come scurrying to your side when you click your fingers (unlike the red rotary phone from the Direct Line adverts.)

    These phones are immobile!
The word you are looking for is PORTABLE!

    Ok, I'm done.

    That looks astounding!

This is the first time I've seen the death googles minus hair or hats. The eyes look fantastic. Really distinctive.
  13. These are brilliant! ^_^
    By far my favourite is:

*sniff* I have a Corruptor...and I will love him even if nobody else does! *blub*

Well, I'd hope that is what most people are thinking anyway.
After all, it's just a bit of lighthearted fun-poking at language disparity.

Oh, and it's 'jam,' not 'jelly.'

    Nobody is well-versed in 'Mathematic.'

    Correct this discrepancy immediately.

    Thank you.

That's a really imaginative idea! I also like the clever name.

I vaguely remember seeing a screenshot of a Ronald MacDonald and a Colonel Sanders standing next to each other in Atlas Park. Something like that could be fun too, though I can't imagine what powersets you would pick. ¬_¬

I know, I know....I'm a hopeless geek. But, still, it was very cool to see "in-game" something that I thought was so awesome at the Forum.
Goodness! I never expected such high praise. ^_^
Being AFK in front of a tailor seems to a habit for me these days...
(Oh, and never apologise for being a geek, hopeless or otherwise. Geeks are responisible for the technology and civilisation we enjoy today .)

To get back to the thread subject, though not directly connected to Super Science, I really want to use the lightning emote to change into a costume with shredded clothes and a smoking aura.

If we ever get a golf club choice for the war mace, even better!

I like that. Subtle touches can really make a character stand out. ^_^

My scrapper indulges in self-imposed demonic posession, for which I use the 'evillaugh' emote and adjusted the height to maximum. When she wishes to regain control I thought using the super serum would be a nice touch.
  19. Hmm, considering how tiny .costume files are, wouldn't be handy if we could paste a URL somewhere into the load screen? ^_^

The way you describe it puts me in mind of the Empathy & Pain Domination powers. The former being all translucency/additive and the latter having a more opaque/subtractive feel.

Looks like I jumped to conclusions a little. I thought it might be just a general extra colour set for use with anything, including costumes.
  22. I was just watching this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X1Hi...eature=related

There appears to be an alternate colour palette with a choice lower-saturation hues available. Though the clip focuses on power customisation I can't imagine why the new colours couldn't be available throughout the character creator.

Though there has always been a wide choice they have generally been high-saturation (with a smaller selection of more neutral choices down the right side.) I think this is another excellent development. ^_^
