Light Control might well have ended up as whatever it is that Legacy Chain use. The light based blaster set. /Do want

The Timezone settings don't work.
As in, I'm stuck seeing all the dates in American format.
I keep thinking that the calander has suddenly aquired 13 extra months from somewhere, until I remember some numpty went and screwed up the setting. Again.
-unamused- -
KB happens. Its still a fact that Bots/Traps is a damned good combo. Yes, Brute players I've teamed with have whined in the past about the KB.
If there was an option, I'd turn it off. You think we *want* the mobs being knocked out of the ohgodarghitburns pools of fire that are Incendiarry missiles? Or away from the carefully placed Trip Mines?
When in doubt, run ahead. The team will either catch up to you, or pick up your corpse en route. -
So long as this doesn't degrade to the level of some of the 'conversation' to be had on Xbox Live, and I'm sure we can all get along just fine...
And the Prof's plan for flying pigs will be done any day now, you just wait.
*snirk* -
These boards ain't big enough for two Techbots. And I have yet to track do- I mean 'locate' the NA version.
We shall see.
(Edit) Target located. Seems he joined in 06 (two years before me, although I was playing the game since about then) and has 4 posts. I have 2,200+. And am still active, while he/she was last on in 06.
I really do think that's my name, thanks. -
I see some things never change...
English people speak English.
American people speak American.
Lets just put them as two seperate languages, leave it at that, and then move onto the next shouttyscreamyhissy topic of the day.
Of which there are possibly many. -
The Quick Reply box down the bottom is really rather pointless, if you have to click on something ELSE to start a Quick Reply...Uhm, hello? Also, the smilies look far from smooth at the moment. Pixelated edges much.
Also, logging in was a pain. It didn't say which username or password to use.
Still, here we are again!
Now, hand over all your tech gubbins. -

Although why on earth people would refuse buffs when there are no limits, like other games, is beyond me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well it may seem silly to some, but it also seems to be perfectly reasonable to others. I agree though that perhaps it is getting a bit complicated, but as pointed out earlier, a prompt window for every buff would get annoying and silly in a group mission. Plus at the moment buff powers aren't designed to have a few seconds decision time within their animation like the MF buff does.
However when someone is standing there trying to have a conversation or RP and someone who can buff passes by feels the need to buff everyone they can in the area (this is pre colour customisation btw) is annoying, especially if you're trying to take screenshots too.

I apologise, that is a damned good reason, one I had forgotten. I obviously haven't been hanging around the Toolshed (Blue side Pocket D
) as much as I used to...

Give us the option of making AVs OR Heroes, not being stuck with just AVs would be nice.
And, re-reading the OP /signed from me. Was after higher ranking foes for one MA map, yet sadly couldnt find any. -
Hmmm...
If the Heroes beat up on certain groups like the Trolls...
More of them (any, in fact for the Trolls
) turn up in the Isles? And Vice Versa.
For Heroes, it'd be keeping the streets clean. Villains; Excuse me? On MY turf? I dont THINK so! -swift painbringing- -

Apparently there are some 'legal' issues with the Apex character. I asked Posi the exact same Q during the 5th anniversary event

We're not joined with the US boards yet

Again, people are being really, really overcomplicated when they really don't need to.
Options:
Buffs/Debuffs
Colour Options: Default/Player Customised
Buff Acceptance: Always/Prompt/Never
It really is that simple. I dont know if the actual programming would be simple or not, but what the options should be is.
Although why on earth people would refuse buffs when there are no limits, like other games, is beyond me.
Stupid fleshlings...

Perhaps defeating rikti boss in mothership raid could starts rikti invasion in RWZ?
If somebody gets all of SS badges then alien invasion starts somewhere in City etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought U'Kon did start a Rikti attack anyway? Never paying too much attention when in the process of kicking his head in
-
Why are people thinking in way too complicated terms?
Make it a tick/no-tick option like accept team teleport, but on a broader scale:
Buff Powers: Player Coloured, Yes/No
No means that you only see the default colour. Yes means you see the colour that the player applied to the power.
Simple -
Have people never gone back and played old games on things like the PS1, gameboy, that sorta thing?
Graphics, when it relaly, really comes down to it, doesnt matter. A game is defined by the gameplay. We have a lot of games that come out these days that have 'cutting edge' graphics...but someone kinda forgot about the gameplay.
I still have to play CoX on minimum settings. I've never seen the game at full potential. And I still like it, because it plays well. -

When RV was released I was rather thrilled because my actions really mattered. Yeah, in the other pvp zones I can do missions to nerf "the other side", but in RV the actual game (well, gfx) changed when I commandeered a pillbox. We don't see much of that in the game, and it's imho one of the weaker points. Whatever we do, it doesn't really matter. You could go clean out the Hollows, nothing would change, those trolls would just pop back.
So what could the devs do to make us feel we really affect the world we play in?
- More RV-style in regular zones. More kills = cleaner zone?
- Choises. In missions, when talking to contacts etc.
- not bother with the pvp, it's a dead duck, leave it be!
- more zone events that actually matters. When a S.C. building explodes it somehow regenereates, so what's the point in saving it?
- GMs that does nasty things. Ghost of Scrappy almost got it, smack him and the workers stop protesting at least. Could Lusca actually take down boats? She doesn't seem to be that bad now, just a bit lonely and misunderstood.
- LGTF has a point, spawns and invasion (makes me feel we failed though)
Could TFs and SFs trigger more stuff (without annoying the playerbase)? Could an aborted/failed TF trigger something?
Do you have any more suggestions? How can the devs allow players to actually affect the world and get a feeling their actions really matter?

^^^ Gets my /signed, all good ideas. -
Option to reset powers ON YOU to default:
Yes. Its an option, some people wont mind the colours, others might. So give them a choice.
I could see it getting annoying having bright multicoloured shields. Especially if they clash
Im an artist, clashes offend my eyes

I'd rather see they implement rikti-raid style levels. That is all foes are your level inside MA and outside, or higher if you've set a higher diff setting.
That would also make it entertaining to roam Atlas/Mercy!
[/ QUOTE ]
^ Not a bad idea.
And yeah, levels as a whole are something I've been trying to think of ways to get rid of for a while. No evil luck so far

This is why we need to be able to actually place objects at specific spawn points! Not just random "front" etc. Problem fixed!

Make it so you do the patron mishes AFTER you get the powers.
Hmm? So that, if you DONT choose a power, you obviously have no contact with them (some might not).
Makes more sense than working for someone, and THEN changing the power.
Get the power that unlocks the arcs. You can still obviously respec it after, although that wouldnt unlock a second/third w/e contact. -

There are no ingame real vampire npc's.... but there are werewolves.

Aren't the werewolves also science based?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes they are - Requiem brought the seed which causes it (Path Of The Dark arc, I think) so it's based on Nictus tech, which is Science based, I believe.

They could use the cloud effect from /e alakazamreact, so they'd sort of explode like a drone or hoverbot.
Although, these vampires aren't really proper vampires, so the cloud of dust might not be suitable for them

^ This. Council Vampyri and warwolves are not actually anything like the traditional ones.
Although, if they reskinned the halloween versions, this could see use.
