Is for me too. Maybe we will get to see Titan Weapons today.

If they are going to use this as a test server for store items, then they should wipe it every few weeks. If they didn't there would be no reason for people to spend money in the store to purchase items on live.
-
Meh, I like seeing it in game, but I don't like playing it. I think that is part of what is being missed, every new power set like this adds to the aesthetics of the game. That is never a bad thing.

Quote:The mechanic it has is actually pretty cool, from what we have been told. The attacks (animations and rech time) start off slow, and then as a meter builds the attacks speed up (again animation, and rech). This makes it nothing like BS.I believe it has some ramping damage mechanic where you build damage or effects based on previous hits. So essentially another combo based set, I assume.
I do think the giant weapons, silly as they are, would look even worse without their own animations and just plunking them into Broad Sword.
Also, this is ONE weapon model. There will be more, and they will not all be swords from what we have seen. One was even a Rail Road Crossing sign. The idea behind the set is that it is large weapons, not just large swords. -

Just seeing pets running around Paragon, or people walking their dogs, will add massively to the game.

That is very awesome. I can see it now, Beast Summoning MMs.

In one ustream it was stated that they did not want the incarnate store, and the paragon market to share the same items. They wanted each one to have it's own exclusive rewards. As it is now, and from what I recall when looking through both, that is currently the case.
Which is why in testing I had to still run to the Incarnate store to grab things I needed for builds, even though I had 30+ thousand paragon points.
I do not see them changing this trend. That is both bad, and good. The bad is that those incarnate exclusive costume items will stay that way. The good is that you will not be seeing purple or pvp recipes in the paragon market.
Personally, I would like to be able to buy purples in the paragon market. My drop rate for them sucks, and the ones I need sell for over 400 mill on the market. Perhaps if they put them in the store it would level their cost out in game, or it would just make them worthless.
I will be buying several sets of scrapper IOs, I don't care how much they cost. My two main toons are scrappers, and I am always willing to go the extra mile for them. -
Quote:Thanks, much appreciated. I was hoping to see some more people signing up to participate despite the fact that Protector is not the exactly biggest server in the world.
A hypothetical question for everyone- What in your opinion would be a big enough prize amount (in Inf.) to persuade you to transfer/roll a new Scrapper to participate in something like this? I'm starting to feel like I'm just being a cheapskate.
Rather than influence, give away IO sets. Purple Sets, much needed PvP IOs, things that are frustrating to save for, or hard to get for a reasonable price on the market.
If you said the grand prize was a full Hecatbomb set, I bet you may get more. You could even limit the grand prize option to the number of participants. Grand prize = A if Y people enter, or Grand Prize = B if X people enter. That way others may encourage friends to enter just to get a shot at a better prize.
For me it is more a matter of SG membership, and the pain the devs have made it. IF I could reinvite myself it would not be an issue. Also transferring for those who don't have tokens is expensive. Not that I am condoning it, but I bet they could buy 2 billion inf for the same cost as a transfer token. -
Quote:First, wanted to say that I love the avatar. Adam Jensen rocks!I've rolled like 5 so far but dedicating my time to StJ/SD and StJ/FA (the later getting the more attention at the moment).
Get some mid builds goin, I wanna see what people's ideas are. Economic-Builds minimum requirement.
I am up to 48 with my StJ/Invul scrapper, and it is still awesome! I have all but my purples installed at this point, and it is just massive fun.
Few things that I have noticed.
When I do crushing uppercut and I am behind an oponent, I feel a but guilty. It is like I am giving them in the butt. I can only imagine the look of shock on their face.
I am not sure if it was intentional, but Shin Breaker is the perfect "stomp then while they are down" attack...I use it a lot.
Why would anyone ever play Martial Arts again? -
Quote:QFT.Ugh, so what? Jounin have apparently carried around three katanas since CoV launched. I hate all the costume related excuses the devs give us that keep us from getting a gigantic amount of costume parts for reasons that make no sense.
Besides, we have combat auras and the vanguard shield. I really can't believe that they couldn't do a combat katana. If nothing else, a static katana on the back is good enough. Geez.
For that matter they should be able to do it with any weapon that they already have a model for. I am sure standard code rant can apply here, it is just that we heard the words "Can't be done" but what they really mean is "It takes too much time, and is not worth it." At this point I would say that if we are willing to buy it, then it is worth it. I promise, they add dynamic scabbards as costume items, and I can name at least one person who would buy them ALL. Me. Even better, I am pretty sure I am not the only one.
The Paragon Store redefines what "Worth the time" really means. It is no longer a matter of will it make people happy, it has moved into will people buy it. They will, those long requested items will sell.
You could double this up for other things. You customization for Hasten in the store, and every player in the game will buy it. They may complain that it was not free, but I bet they still buy it. Most adults have realized that if you really want something, you have to pay for it. I want extra cheese on my burger at McDonalds, I know it cost extra. That is just life, and I can live with that for the things I really want. -

It was just down on Tuesday, why does it need to be down today too?!?!?!?

Quote:Part of the running argument for why things like back scabbards have always been a hard thing for the Devs to give us was this idea that our character body models only have a limited number of "anchor points" and as the story goes the Devs only had like one or two of those points left over after you accounted for all the other existing types of costume items.
I can understand why the Devs may have wanted to conserve that resource over the years because once they used them all then they'd have no further room to expand. But let's be a bit realistic here by considering that the game is now well over 7.5 years old. How much longer are the Devs going to hold back from using those last anchor points? What are they being saved for?
I would argue that people have been wanting/suggesting more back items for this game for so long that there's really no benefit in reserving the last anchor points for anything else. So what if giving us something like back scabbards prevents us from getting anything else like it? I would rather get something new knowing there's no room for anything else than to know there's room for a "potential addition" and never get any benefit from that potential. An unused anchor point gives us nothing to play with. I think it's high time we get as much as the system will allow for.
Yup, those lost two points should be used for backs, and hips. -
If it bothers you, knock them down first. Then stomp on them with shin breaker. Wait till they are getting up, and knee them in the face instead of the crotch.

I hit 47 today, and started the IO process, all but my purples are slotted, and the last 6 slots.
Let me tell you, Street Justice only gets more and more fun. I also think it is the best set in years, and I loved KM. -
I like this topic.
The Day after Tomorrow. The storm sounds make me sleep.
Batman Begins. Just a great movie.
Van Helsing. It is one of the only truly cheesy movies that I like.
Signs. I find it relaxing.
The Last Samurai. I love this movie.
Justice League New Frontier. Not a good as the comic, but still really good.
The Incredibles. One of the best super hero movies ever made imo.
Smallville (any). My wife is a fan. :/
New Star Trek. Movie made of pure awesome. -
I was not a big fan of part 1, but I really enjoyed part 2. The Rulu-Shin really made these missions pop for me. The story was cool, but I think the art assets used were the real key.

Quote:I decided to go StJ/Invul, and it made me want to beat my head on the desk. The end use has been abysmal imo. I just slotted -end before slotting damage. The Neumina Proc, and the Miracle proc help some.Yeah I remember that from beta. I also rolled a SJ/EA in beta, had it bumped to 37. I had a blast playing it and did not have the end troubles I am having now. I was also rocking straight SOs with no Endred in any of my attack powers. This is what makes me lean towards it being some kind of bug rather than an end hungry of which I have played many in the past. Dark/Dark scrapper comes to mind.
Glad to see it isn't just me, and those of you not experiencing this make some great points to the contrary.
Thanks

I admit it is good work, and looks awesome. I however would never use it, and this will be the first costume item that I do not buy. I think it is awesome that they have added some individual items, and not felt the need to only release them as a whole set.
So while I like them, and that they are in the store, I am still going to save my points. -
********Spoiler!******
MUST HAVE RULARUU GLOVES!!!!
Really, at first I thought they were just mutant gloves, then I saw the eyeball!
