One of my cats doesn't meow so much as go "Myaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" and "Ooouw!" when he want us to pay attention to him... and he will not shut up until we do (he usually either wants to go out or be fed).
He also trills and will often just open his mouth making no sound except his lips parting, he usually does this when he's resting and we get his attention somehow. -

Quote:Indeed.After watching several such videos, it seems to me the kitty 'nom nom' is a territorial growl warning you to back your darn hand/camera away before it gets bit.
Cute.
If you smooth a cat when it's a kitten, while it's eating (and do it every time) they'll not mind you being there.
Both my cats never growl (or make those sort of noises) when you smooth them while eating. -
Quote:As a Brit who bought a US subscription well before the game was released in the UK, this is how it's worked for me.I'm entertaining the idea of getting a US account for a month or so over the holiday period, to take a peek US side. Just wondering on a few details, though;
-Does buying a US game charge dollars, and thus the exchange rate as well?
-How do you go about applying that US version to your NC account? Does it need updating?
-I take it the Booster packs only work on the specific versions, EU and US?
And, the actualy in-game question;
-Which server US side if the 'Home' of RP?
I bought the US version of the game and used my UK card, everything about exchange rates seems to be handled by the banks and your bank statement will have the amount in Pounds.
I'm not sure how you apply it to your account, you may need to buy the US version of the game again.
Booster Packs are region specific, you'll need to buy US codes to work with your US account and EU codes to work with your EU account. The NCStore provides a link on each booster pack page to go to the US versions.
Virtue is the unofficial RP server. -

Quote:Of course, the light could be just part of the map textures and not actual "light".Having mentioned that, I paid close attention. There very much are real light sources scattered throughout the missions which have, at the very least, direction and distance. They're easiest to locate via the oldest trick in the book - bright spots on the floor, walls or ceiling. I ran through a CoT map and spotted several. They were concentrated over stone obelisks, magical circles, crystals and sometimes just smack-dab in the middle of the room, though not, surprisingly, at the many torches..
From what I could see, these lights were both coloured and while, they had a specific direction, such that walking by them would shift illumination front to side to back, and they were only active up to a certain distance. The only really powerful ones are in Arachnos bases, though, and they'd be the easiest to check. Try and get one of those huge, huge rooms with the green pool at the bottom. This one is most easily evident.
Also, adding coloured light to the player character is not the same as actually illuminating a room... or even illuminating a player character.
While it would make sense in real life, remember that most of these sort of things are only designed to look realistic in the limited number of instances they are used and wouldn't translate at all when used elsewhere or for different means.
I'm 90% sure that most "lighting" in the game at the moment only effects player models and doesn't illuminate them or effect the "world". -

Quote:I thought Trapdoor was an experiment to recreate the effects of the Well using some of the water taken from the Well when Recluse drank from it.Stheno and Trapdoor also visited the Well. Stheno thousands of years ago, and Trapdoor is a mystery.
Maybe I just imagined that... -

Yeah, I think I'd do that, as long as I got a decent amount of ingame stuff, maybe a statue of some sort.

Quote:This could be either Hamidon or Rularuu. The case for Hamidon is that he leads the Devouring Earth, he grows, gets destroyed then regrows constantly, it's bloated (aka, a big bit of jelly) and mentions of a hive. Players regularly retreat from him as well
V. Bloated life which has not a peer, gobbles all that mankind holds dear, The hive will grow to rise and fall, all will battle the monster tall, Across the way a mirror flow'r, has no such foes slow its devour, Not placated with scraps to eat, it's rage shall spark leader's retreat.
The case for Rularuu is that he eats dimensions it seems, he has no peer, being a god-like being, comes from a "mirror" (which seems to be a codeword for alternate realities in the letter). He's also the tallest enemy in the game (if he ever gets put in proper). It also has an aspect of rage.
Quote:VI. A thousand men with javelin, fight to compound their master's sin, Darkly corrupt by twilight gaze, a secret deal to end our days. Hero, villain, that time forgot, what do they know that we do not? Side-by-side both sides excel, fighting for time-warped parallel.
Quote:VII. Time's river's course is left to run, till shattered by the million suns, Eternal gear comes back to warn, all must beware the coming storm, From ice and flame and tests of will, forgotten deeds one can fulfill, Has he made strong by accident, those whose acts will despair prevent?
Quote:X. Man kills brother; sets into motion, a hundred lifetimes of commotion, Meticulous manipulation, attempts to take this very nation, Within mirrors glow he finds a pawn, his trick forces them to take us on, We shall fall for his games no longer, that which challenges makes us stronger.
Quote:XI. The web is formed in careful craft, since fatal rescue on a raft, Wraith- beast- hulk- thief- prepare for war, the mastermind will hide no more, Let loose the tide of villain mix, heroes will gain their own new tricks, And in the end; a world fini, unless the one stops destiny.
That's all I can work out for sure, there are a few that I have ideas for but can't place together and I guess some are in the future and havn't even been hinted at yet. Anyway, discuss!
Edit: Or what Lady Sadako said. -
While all of the Omega Team letters have been excellent, the most intriguing has got to be that of Branforth the Seer.
In it he talks of prophetic dreams, some are clear allusions to things that have happened (although in Branforth's future at the time of writing) and some seem have not come to pass.
I'm posting this so we can specifically discuss just this letter and try and work out what some of the dreams are.

The Prestidigitator has been my favourite so far. He's just a guy who happens to have a wand. He's outclassed by just about every guy on the team power-wise... but that's not gonna stop him trying to make a difference and going out like a hero!

Quote:Actually, there's a question. Currently the "reflections" in the city hall and Arenas are not reflections at all. The floor is just translucent with the building interior upside down below that...The polished floors in Arena. Seeing our characters added to the other reflections. I love running around in there by myself for no reason other than to chase the reflections.
I wonder if they'll remove all of that to replace it an actual reflective surface. -
I wonder what my GTS 250 (1gig) will be able to handle...

I just made up the name for a Zelda fanfic I was writing about a decade ago (slight exaggeration)... when it came to playing my first MMO I needed a name... and I remembered this name. It's stuck ever since.
My best friend even has me listed on his mobile phone as "Zikar". -
F = Travel Power
G = Hover
Alt+1 = Sprint
Alt+2 = Rest
(the last two are activated via my G-15 keyboard, not by actually pressing the two keys) -
Quote:You... know you can use the middle mouse button to just rotate the camera around your character right?while clearly it enjoyable to use walk in this manner it also give and very easy way to see the front of the character rather than the cumbersome Carmera angle Flip that I hate doing. Errors and mistakes in colour and Transition are much easier to spot from the front.

I need brain bleach... those are just... dumb... gyuh...

Those last two images made me laugh
Anyone remember when Citadel had an ear for a face? -
This thread plays out like the "What have the Romans ever done for us?" Monty Python bit.

Quote:Well, whoever you are anonymous animator, congratulations, they are freaking awesome.Apparently he did neither ninja run nor pistols.
"I will take blame for the walk animations, but the ninja run glory all goes to one of our other animators (same one who did dual pistol animations)" -
I gotta say, all the animations with ninja running are amazing beyond words. It's so damn fun!
