Quote:Steel, I'd pay you to have 'I am Win' tatooed on you're back, or something* In response to player complaints that there has been a depressing lack of new content lately, Issue 17 will see the new Deluxe Edition of the Positron Task Force. This edition will include 6 further missions, the introduction of Sappers into lower level play, the new Unresistable Knockdown Ruin Mage and a reduction of Merits in the final reward. The new badge text for the TF will read "Maybe this will teach you ba***rds not to complain!"

Just...yeah. Heh. -
Quote:Mercy really isn't that bad. I do dislike how the hospital is WAY back at the start. And how the contacts send you far too far. Really, I think the level range is a bit skewed. Mercy should be about level 1-12, not 1-8 (ish?) as it is now. Having some room to maneuver there would be nice. And more starting contacts would be much nicer.I just though of something. I've heard a lot of people say they hate Mercy Island and that's the big reason why they don't have many villains.
But GR while give us preatoria for lvl 1 - 20. More then enough to skip entirely the mercy and port oakes. Maybe we'll be seeing a lot more villains without them having to do Mercy.
Hell, make Mercy AND Oakes starting Zones, and let Villains start in either one. That might make things a bit more interesting. -

I like both.
Personally...hmm, I think I prefer Redside content. It gells together easier, and you don't need to go through a bout three contacts simply to get to a contact in level range (something I really hope they address sometime along the release)
AT wise...Well, my Scrapper is going red for concept reasons, mostly.
Gonna make a few Praetorians. BLaster will go Vigilante, again concept.
I like all the ATs, really, although there are certainly those I dont touch, simply because I dont get on as well with actaully playing them.
But fairly even for me, I'd say. -

Quote:So...
In short, the worst wave of bankruptcies, job losses and wealth destruction any citizen under 90 has ever experienced.
you really just answered you're own query? That the reason there probably HAS been a decrease in sub numbers. Hell, I'm not saying we haven't lost some people. But I think it's being blown way out of proportion.
"Ohmagawd theres a few less people THE GAME IS GONNA END!!"
No, it's very unlikely for that to happen. CityOf seems stable enough, I know I've certainly seen a (percieved) increase in people on Union where I play (lurk) when issues come out. Then maybe a slight drop off and settlance. (Is that a word? It should be.)
As soon as the Global F-up...woops, sorry, Economic downturn corrects itself, people will have more money to spend on stuff other than getting from one day to the next, kids will have more allowance leeway to get back on games, etc, etc, alea jacta est.
So, yes. Numbers probably are down a bit. Is that going to kill the game? No, probably not.

No. Just no. Unique damage types and AT specific spawns are BAD. Period.

Quote:Having the option would be nice. If the pieces are actually IN game, that's even more reason to actually use them. This would end up another case of "You can't use the Warrior Belt unless you choose Robes", or "You can't use big gloves with trenchcoats, because they clip with the sleeves (even if you choose None for sleeves so they can't clip)". As such, many players would dislike this, especially if using the "Mech Armor" category in one section forced it on the others.
There's also a decent amount of pieces that can create a Mech style look already in game. In fact, I think that the Enforcer set was specifically billed as "The closest we can do to a PPD Shell that doesn't clip horribly."
Having a drop-down 'Character type' would be nice. Either leave it 'Normal', what we have now; 'Power-Armour', PPD Shell and Hardsuit kit, 'Arachnos armour', for VEATs, so we could finally have more than one armour slot...stuff like that.
/Signed. To hell with clipping, I'm sick to the gears with that excuse, given how many parts clip as it is. -
Whoever or whatever they have behind that...
Please, go back and give Skulls, Hellions, Trolls, Outcasts and Infected new costumes.
So, so generic that it makes my optics fuse and melt... -
I generally concur with the sentiments in this thread. I agree that stating the letter of the rules would open up a whole can of worms, so best left alone.
My major pet-peeve is that we get costume options removed or simply nod added in for 'Clipping reasons'
...
Worst. BS. Ever. There are a multiplex of multitudinous pieces that all clip in some way or another. The...joke that was the issue of wings and Magic bolero, for instance. Generally that needs to be sorted out. Before I write a long, bilious post on how Jay should do multiple horrible things to himself (the little...). Again.
Still. Good post. -
It's a decent enough population. Does depend on the time, but simply add on a few channels (Sal's Badgehunters, I think?) and you should be fairly well connected for TF runs and stuff. Basically, get connected, and you cnat go far wrong =]
Also a goodly RP crowd =P -
I had to look back up a few lines, to remind myself it was Arcanaville posting. Of COURSE I wasn't going to understand the higher functions of that mathematical mind

Seriously...wish I could hit my old maths teacher with that, make him cry, the old creep >_< -
Hope this thread is still running-ish, really looking for some feedback on this;
Crown of Iron, Heart of Steel Part 1
ID - 236933.
Length: 5 missions
Enemy Group: Re-coloured Standard + Custom
Morality: Heroic
Level Range: 35+
Description: Portal Corp is always discovering new dimensions, and they are always in need of powerful individuals to help investigate them. The disocvery, and perhaps the fate, of one such dimension is in your hands.
Please be honest and brutal with it. I'd like some feedback on what can actually be improved. Oh, and the slightly messed up spawning levels I cant do anything about, I've forwarded that to Doc Aeon, and hoping something gets fixed one day. (As in, groups that should only spawn at, say, 35-39 will still spawn at 50...but hey ho.) -
Quote:^ This.I seem to recall reading (or hearing in the YouTube videos) that your choices during the Praetorian tutorial level determine your starting contact, not the AT you pick.
From there, even if you start down one path, you generally have the option to switch between Loyalists and Resistance as you like, until you get to level 20 and leave Praetoria for Paragon Earth. And despite any choices you've made up to that point, you get to outright pick Hero or Villain... so you could play a hardcore Loyalist from 1-20 but then hop over to Paragon City instead of becoming a Villain (as the Loyalist path implies).
It is, essentially, making the ATs non-side specific. 'Bute' will no longer instantly mean Villain, while 'Blaster' will not instantly mean Hero. Etc.
Also, not sure about the Loyalist/Resistance bit yet. That seems like a 'Yet to Come' thing. -

Quote:Except: The Devs said they only made the VEATs unlock at 50 as well was because they knew it'd kick up stink if they made them unlock by any other way. But they dont want anymore 'Unlock at 50' ATs.Yea they don't have SOA's or Kheldians in Praetoria,so instead when you ding 50 you can become a Rikti tradionalist or Rikti restructionist.
The reason behind this is because the Rikti are so prevalent in that world, plus, there is no Arachnos,Kheldians I don't know about.
Honest.....

Quote:This. In a way, LESS information I find is better. Because it doesn't have me salivating like a rabid dog and facepalming my monitor singing to the refrain of 'Want:Now!'.I don't think that phrase means what you think it means. I like this game. GR will get here when it gets here. More or less information in the interim won't change when it gets here, nor will it cause me to cancel my subscription.
Okay, now let's see if that results in brainless fools calling me a fanboi.
Like the Mods Riktification. Is that just goofing around? Or is it a large hint as to what a new playable AT may be, or simply new content? I don't know, but my brain goes into overtime with that sort of thing.
With less GR info, I can sort of let it simmer, although I still look at things in game at the moment and think; "Ultra mode is gonna make this look AWESOME." -
Quote:Yes they do.Out of all the silliness, this one is actually a really good suggestion.
Really, REALLY good suggestion.
I don't know about the active mission auto-zoning part, but it was great until then. The trains don't make sense in Paragon. They never have.
The rest is just silly.
Reason: It's a CITY. It has all these people in them, called, civilians. You know, those people walking around? Public transport. And since we're stuck with the War Walls (Yes, I know they dont work against Rikti, but they work on everything else) well, gotta get there somehow. And you dont HAVE to use the trains. Except to get to Croatoa/Salamanca, and that has a magical curse reasoning behind it. -

Quote:Do Not: Jinx it!This is a wild guess and completely unsubstantiated, mind you, but...
Rikti Epic ATs coming at some point in the future? The screenie is cool and if it were just that, I'd say it was just the mods having fun. Rikti-fying their forum identities hints at something actually going on, though.
